After arriving after a long drive, we were greeted by a friendly and helpful member of staff at the reception.
On entering the chalet we immediately loved it. From the large balcony to the decor and also the great facilities. As it was very hot for the first few days of our stay, we appreciated that the bedrooms are located below, ensuring that they remained cool. We chose the location as we planned to do several hikes. Again we were not disappointed as it is an ideal location even if you want to do some local hikes.
We enjoyed relaxing on the balcony in the evening with lovely views and even more spectacular was looking up at the starry skies in the night.

Really cosy family hotel in the heart of Bolquère. We spent 3 nights in early february: Comfortable warm rooms. 3km from Pyrénées 2000 lifts. Easy drive even straight after snow. Snow-plowing is excellent. The dinners were hearty and tasty, Good hosts and a lovely cat. Approach is very well signposted in the village.

The supper exceeded my expectations by a long way - it was a real treat to have beautifully prepared and presented food. The view from my room in the presbytery gîte was good. Eyne is a lovely place.

It was across the road from the gondola which I took to get to my skiing lessons. I liked the steam room in the building. I liked the fact that there was a place to leave the skis. The staff were very pleasant and very helpful. The kitchenette was nice. It was warm and I liked the view.

Font Romeu was made as a sporting resort in the 1920s.
Font Romeu was made as a sporting resort in the 1920s.
Odeillo further down the hill was the original village.
Because of the benefits of the healthy air, originally Font Romeu was used as a place to treat patients with breathing problems. That no longer is the case.
Now it is a ski resort and also a summer destination.
The views are spectacular and the skiing is augmented by many snow cannons.There are also many rambling routes.
There are restaurants and shops but these are quite seasonal and often closed in low season.
Font Romeu is also a good base from which to visit local towns and villages, also lakes and even the sea, either in France or, slightly further afield in Northern Spain.

Not a very interesting town in itself, it is very well located though, and we used it as a base to do daily trips to Les Angles and Font Romeu. During the week most of the restaurants are closed, so make sure to reserve at one of the few that are open.

This hotel is surrounded by a beautiful nature of Pyrenees forest and mountains. We have been there during the holidays period but in the hotel was relatively quiet. If you decided to go to any of the attractions around you would have to accept thousand people around you wherever you go with kids screaming and shouting for example in the open carriage of the touristic train goes up into the mountains. If you're decided to enjoy a silence and loneliness in the nearby forest this is not your case because groups of people will be sitting on every corner. For me it was very strange because my expectation was that this place is lost somewhere in the middle of nowhere but it was very opposite, thousands and thousands of people everywhere.

Hotel room was very warm. Had to open the patio door to cool it sometimes. The heaters were off and cold during our stay, but one small area of the shower room and bedroom floor seemed warm.
Most odd. The insulation in the building must be very very good.

Not a lot in Bourg Madam - not even a supermarket- have to travel to Ur or Puigcerda. Only a pizza takeaway and the cafe/cafeteria under apartments open at night. It however is an ideal location and short walk (10mins)into Puigcerda which has everything you need - cafes, bars, restaurants, shops and supermarkets

Delightful sleepy village with accessible nature reserve to explore, good food at Gite Cal Pai and local produce on sale. Great place to start or finish a walking tour of the Pyrenees- spectacular scenery and gorgeous diversity of nature and (pre)history- two dolmens nearby!

It is a great place for connecting with other people.
It is a great place for connecting with other people. I did one night. A second night creates more time to hang out in the place.
The local restaurant is a must go when you not prefere to make your own meal.
The visit to the old Chappelle delivers a great view, nice surprise after a steap clime. Great as picknic location. And the local bath with warm water is a very nice experience. Small snacks and drinks drinks are available.

This is a ski area where snowfall is critical.
This is a ski area where snowfall is critical. It often lacks natural snow; the snowmaking is great, 500 snow-cannons, but the artificial snow runs are limited, largely easy greens and blues with the odd red. With good natural snow all the black and red runs on the N slopes and the tree skiing become great fun. and you can enjoy several days of really enjoyable skiing. To my mind the Bouton D'or top section is the steepest iciest black.

Easy access from France, we drove, it my son arrived by train without any difficulties. Bourg-Madame has everything you need, a large supermarket just around the corner from the apartment. Able to walk into Puigcerda which was beautiful, especially at night.

The chalet is with all comfort. Kitchen is fully equipped. Within 30 meters a supermarket and bakery. For our stay in September area is quite silent . The chalet is ideal for children or dog. The area has a lot walking routes threw the woods. You can enjoy the nature. A lot of free space. Car parking at the chalet. Within one and half hour you are at the coast or at Andorra . Within a half hour you’re in Spain. In 2 hours in Barcelona. Enough places for sightseeing. Of course your in the Pyreneeën.
