Pretty little Villa centrally located in Barcelonnette. The rooms very really beautifully renovated and the open glass shower in the room was amazing! They offered breakfast on lovely small tables in the garden. The staff and the Charme of the place were amazing! Also it is only 3 walking minutes away from the center and the pedestrian zone! There is a free open parking lot next to the hotel (we luckily got the last free space there)

Stayed here for two nights while hiking the GR5. Very clean, and comfortable bed and room. Lovely patio. The soap and shampoo were very much appreciated! I've stayed in much fancier establishments that didn't bother with these essentials. Breakfast was great.

Loved the location stunning views. Hotel room was comfortable and clean. Great selection at breakfast and was really good to be able to take food with us, as we had early starts. We stayed for dinner both nights in the hotel great value, lots of selection and well prepared and delicious. The bar area was lovely and drinks good value. Superb place. Family friendly with an amazing owner that was very helpful. Place like on the pictures, with huge common area for guests , with games if you want to chill in the evening. Located right by the side of the lift, 5 mins walking from a small lake. Very clean rooms with comfy beds. I was very happy there with my daughter as we had dream stay there. The location is very good, however the apartment is very dated, some of the appliances do not work and the bath has no shower screen or curtain, I have stayed in Isola over the last 10 years and this was the worst I have stayed in, it is also very expensive but because of demand and location you have to pay the price. I feel that asking for an extra cleaning charge when you are paying 250 euros per night is just ridiculous. The bedding and towel charge is ok as all the apartments in Isola do this but I still think this is simply grabbing a bit more and made me dislike the approach from the owners , we brought our own in the end. At the end of the day, if you want to stay in the main part of Isola , this is what you have to put up with. The skiing was great !

Great base for a hiking or skiing focused trip. Very quiet town, but there's a lively market on Saturdays. Plenty of restaurant options every night, including week nights. Bakeries and grocery store for hiking provisions. We didn't explore public transit or taxi options up to Mercantour park entrance because we had a rental car. Some trails leave from the center of town. There's also a very impressive indoor climbing center with a pool that would be great for families or for rainy-day activities, but we didn't have time to visit. You can walk to the hillside town of

The countryside in Valberg is beautiful and the little town is cool but during the time we were there only a portion of the restaurants were open and we only found a couple places with good food. There was lots of construction which made it impossible to relax and enjoy the area but I am sure once the construction is done it will be nice.
