Pretty little Villa centrally located in Barcelonnette. The rooms very really beautifully renovated and the open glass shower in the room was amazing! They offered breakfast on lovely small tables in the garden. The staff and the Charme of the place were amazing! Also it is only 3 walking minutes away from the center and the pedestrian zone! There is a free open parking lot next to the hotel (we luckily got the last free space there)

Located in an old priory and re-decorated by the new owners, le Prieuré has a great atmosphere and a lot a of charm. It's friendly and caring staff makes you feel at home. I particularly loved having a mulled wine and playing board games after ski next to the fire in the lounge. Breakfast was excellent as well as diner. Indeed the restaurant is the best we tried in Pra-Loup : with traditional mountain recipes as raclettes, fondues, venison ragout, as well as excellent hamburgers and fries ! Good beds and great views from the bedrooms. Very practical location for skiing as the ski lift is accross the road and ski rentals next door.

Loved the location stunning views. Hotel room was comfortable and clean. Great selection at breakfast and was really good to be able to take food with us, as we had early starts. We stayed for dinner both nights in the hotel great value, lots of selection and well prepared and delicious. The bar area was lovely and drinks good value. Superb place. Family friendly with an amazing owner that was very helpful. Place like on the pictures, with huge common area for guests , with games if you want to chill in the evening. Located right by the side of the lift, 5 mins walking from a small lake. Very clean rooms with comfy beds. I was very happy there with my daughter as we had dream stay there. I very rarely leave reviews, but this hotel was fantastic. From the warm greeting when we arrived, the help with local knowledge, the great breakfast and the super clean rooms. Huge thanks to Sophie who worked so hard to make our stay such a memorable one. I'm already looking a booking again for a few weeks time. Highly recommend this hotel.

Great base for a hiking or skiing focused trip. Very quiet town, but there's a lively market on Saturdays. Plenty of restaurant options every night, including week nights. Bakeries and grocery store for hiking provisions. We didn't explore public transit or taxi options up to Mercantour park entrance because we had a rental car. Some trails leave from the center of town. There's also a very impressive indoor climbing center with a pool that would be great for families or for rainy-day activities, but we didn't have time to visit. You can walk to the hillside town of

The location is very good, however the apartment is very dated, some of the appliances do not work and the bath has no shower screen or curtain, I have stayed in Isola over the last 10 years and this was the worst I have stayed in, it is also very expensive but because of demand and location you have to pay the price. I feel that asking for an extra cleaning charge when you are paying 250 euros per night is just ridiculous. The bedding and towel charge is ok as all the apartments in Isola do this but I still think this is simply grabbing a bit more and made me dislike the approach from the owners , we brought our own in the end. At the end of the day, if you want to stay in the main part of Isola , this is what you have to put up with. The skiing was great !

Beautiful mountains and trails to lakes and waterfalls. Most restaurants in the area had very rude staff. I speak 3 languages, unfortunately not French and we had a hard time communicating and were treated poorly by host both in person and by phone due to lack of understanding. I have worked in service industry my entire life in multiple countries and I was surprised that for a tourist location host were so rude to people that don't speak French.

The countryside in Valberg is beautiful and the little town is cool but during the time we were there only a portion of the restaurants were open and we only found a couple places with good food. There was lots of construction which made it impossible to relax and enjoy the area but I am sure once the construction is done it will be nice.
