Special “thank you” to Lea and the team who made our stay superb. They took our doubts and cover with comfort and joy.
We spent 2 incredible nights there and enjoyed each moment.
The room with amazing view and comfortable bed, bath tube, balcony are 100/10.
Breakfast variety is great.
Pools with sunbeds are 10/10.
Meet sunrises and sunsets.

This is one of the best hotels I have ever stayed in. The staff is friendly and they make sure to look after you. The spa is exceptional. L’Armadin restaurant offers a proper gastronomic experience with local flavours and wines. We liked it so much that has lunch and dinner there during our 2 nights stay at the hotel.
We loved the architecture of the hotel and the design. Rooms are comfortable and offer everything you need.
The short boat ride to the beach was a pleasant surprise.
The Spa is lovely and we enjoyed our couples massage.
We are already looking at coming back next year.

our Rugby World Cup - Marseille apartment was cancelled at the last moment. a quick search delivered this fabulous hotel. I booked a premier room. it was large and featured a hot tub on the balcony. Not sure if we were upgraded? The Thalassotherapy suite was excellent. the view across the stunning bay was sensational. all the staff were very friendly. Breakfast was excellent as was the beach restaurant.

Nice is the third or fourth largest city in France.
Nice is the third or fourth largest city in France. It is much safer and cleaner than Paris, Lyon or Marseille. Excellent museums, shopping and of cause beaches. Very long tourist season, pretty much year round, makes Nice attractive destination.

Marseille is a great place to visit.
Marseille is a great place to visit. Amazing restaurants and cute neighborhoods. It’s gritty but truly beautiful. One of our favorite restaurants was La Ferme for seafood. You can take a petit train up to Notre Dame and just walking around is great.

Bordeaux is a perfect place to experience a classic French city on foot (it very much favours the pedestrian with its wide walkways and carefully structured tram system).
Situated on the banks of a beautiful river, it has so much to offer - art and culture, entertainment venues, daily markets offering fresh food and other produce, and an array of shopping areas ranging from high end brands, to more familiar 'high street' names and a wealth of individual and specialist shops.
And of course, don't forget the many, many restaurants and other outlets from which to indulge in every type of food and drink from France and many other countries - with prices to suit every purse.
It has a modern, efficient and very affordable tram system, linking the centre to the airport and train station, as well as further afield. Plus there's good bus transport and car parking.
In spite of its popularity, it is a very clean city taking pride in its appearance. It feels safe and friendly.
Overall, Bordeaux is just beautiful to look at, with fabulous buildings and relaxed cafe (and wine) culture at every turn. Come and indulge - but be prepared to rack up those steps as there is so much to do!!

Montpellier is great for short or longer breaks.
Montpellier is great for short or longer breaks. Always plenty to see or do. The old town brims & buzzes with a tempting choice of cafes, bars & independent restaurants to suit all budgets, of usually excellent quality. Also an amazing choice of beautiful boutiques, fashion, good old fashioned toy & game shops etc. all housed in ancient stone buildings.
Recommend Tomate Resto on Rue St Anne. Cosy, 3 course menu €25, individual dishes from €17.
Fish & vegetarian options . All home cooked & delicious.

Why would a hotel have a key system that needs a visual instruction to operate. It doesn’t make sense.
I have stayed all over the world and never had to be shown at the front desk on mini replica of a door , how to operate the lock system.
Confusing and annoying as we were tired and just wanted to go to our room with a normal key system.
And parking .
We had to get up early as the public parking we were directed to next door , you had to be out of by 9am or our car would be towed.
Booked thinking we would get parking , as it is advertised.
But told it was full upon arrival.
However later that night we spoke to two guests who had just parked their cars in the hotel car park !!
Spoiled our stay as we had to rush to retrieve our car by 9am at the public car park we were told to use.

I was there for a short stay, but I'd hoped to see its bright spots. However, since it was November, apparently anything to do with Cezanne is closed. His atelier was closed, which I didn't understand because as an artist myself, I know artists can do their art in the winter. Also, the Cezanne room in the Musée Granet was closed, and they were not showing the biographical film on him. The only Cezanne thing open was the outdoor forest/quarry area where Cezanne painted, but I would have need a car to get there, or Uber, and it was freezing cold, apparently a surprise for this time of year in Aix. The Christmas markets were open, which was nice, although so many of them seemed to sell the same things. Aix is a very popular place, and I hope the managers of the town realize that tourists come there not just in the summer.

Lots of history to look into, from Roman times through middle ages to now; some very nice restaurants; Les Halles is a great market; nice ambiance, cafés etc. Favorite spots - the cathedral and archbishops' palace, Les Halles, Narbo Via (fascinating), along the canals. Restos - En Face, Chez Lulu, Les Halles. Very walkable smaller town. Good base for visiting the area, Carcassonne, Sète, Gruissan etc. It was cold in November and people said Narbonne is known for wind, we packed our snuggies
