The staff were excellent and nothing was too much trouble. As an example we were provided with lunch on one day as we had missed the restaurants in town due to the weather. The room was comfortable and very clean. The restaurant staff were also excellent and the food was delicious. Nothing was too much - thoroughly recommend

Such a fantastic spot in Noirmoutier. Absolutely all of the staff were so friendly and welcoming and did everything they could to make our stay super. The room was just perfectly appointed, and very clean and the breakfast was super. The pools and spa facilities were second to none and the location was perfect. We really can't say enough about this place, a truly wonderful stay. Thank you!

We slept 4 nights in the tent, and the choice was unforgettable. It's very cozy, the beaches are exceptional and you can choose daily to enjoy the sea elsewhere. Discovering the island by bike is wonderful! The voice of the sea is special when you sleep in the tent and that vacation vibe when you spend the day in nature is what makes the experience unforgettable. It's far for me, but I think I will come back!!!

We have been to St Jean and Le Bois Dormant a few times. Its always good to stay there. The staff were very helpful Esther on the front desk in particular. The camp facilities were good and the 2new" food facility at the gate excellent ( the chips/fries from the existing place are brilliant too!) No complaints about the cleanliness or anything else on the main camp.

The location was perfect for us. Very friendly and professional staff at check in. The mobile home was very clean and was fully equipped. Bed linen is available for a small extra charge. The on-site bar and restaurant is very good too. There is also a small shop selling basic groceries and fresh pastries everyday. All in all a great place to stay.

Les Sables d'Olone is a lovely seaside resort on the coast...

Les Sables d'Olone is a lovely seaside resort on the coast of the Vendée, and visiting is a delightfully French experience - the architecture, the lovely beach, the bars and restaurants - it's a truly lovely place. There's plenty to see and do there, the people are friendly, and there are plenty of places to stay. It's an attractive mix of old-fashioned and modern, with the added benefit of plenty of street parking. It's a great place to go and unwind for a few days, and I'll most definitely be going back.

A small, bustling, cosmopolitan city. Lots of interesting buildings and views. Friendly people. Our stay was very brief, so we didn't really get a chance to explore. Recommend the Pizzeria Cristalin in Plzce de la Resistance, just a short stroll from our hotel in Place Napoléon.

The appearance of the area, light industrial is off putting but it doesn't really matter once on site. The staff and accomodation were first class and could not be faulted. The restaurant on site was closed for friday night and the weekend but there is an exceedingly good restaurant in walking distance which we highly recommend.

Pleasant enough small town but don't expect to find much in the way of entertainment and don't expect restaurants to be open on a Sunday and many stay closed until Tuesday. We liked The Terrace and Louis XIII but spent a long time wandering around to find these places. However, well placed to travel to the coast for trips.

The write up was great but the reality was totally different. If we could have found the property (there was no number 4 in a line of similar looking blocks of buildings) and had we been given an accurate description of the built-up area from the owners, we might have saved being charged 140 euros by them for nothing and then having to book into a hotel nearby!

We were going to Puy Du Fou, and the owner gave us the right tip to go there quicker. They gave us as well the right restaurant at Les Herbiers and I could appreciate the beauty of the city. So just one evening. The rest of our stay was for the Puy du Fou.

We went mainly for the La Bonnotte potato festival, which was good fun, and the potatoes are indeed delicious. But as the island is almost completely flat (fabulous for cycling) we hadn't expected a beautiful coastline and beaches. And although it was beautiful weather the beaches were almost deserted. Let's hope it remains relatively undiscovered.

Lovely surroundings in quiet peaceful area. We dined in St Hillaire du Loulay, in small restaurant with a fabulous menu and excellent wines. We could only spend one night as we were travelling North for the Ferry but would like to spend more time here.

I’ve visited Saint-Gilles-Croix-de-Vie many times over the...

I’ve visited Saint-Gilles-Croix-de-Vie many times over the last 20-odd years but never stayed here until now. It was a superb choice: close to the cycle route, 15 mins from three excellent bakeries and one minute from the promenade. There’s a good choice of restaurants, ice cream parlours, kiosks and bars within 5-6 minutes’ walk and the two towns just a bit further in the other direction. I would recommend the area to anyone: there are activities for the whole family, for beach fans or people looking for cultural days out. It’s worth going just for the food but the scenery is spectacular with some fantastic sunsets. The weather is changeable but all you need is decent clothing. Top tip: visit Boulangerie Bleue in Saint Gilles for superb bread and some interesting desserts!

The apartment was ideally located, right on the seafront.

The apartment was ideally located, right on the seafront. The promenade is ideal for a lovely stroll with many bars cafes and ice cream vendors. The modern town has some good independent shops bars and cafes. There is a lovely very small Free Tram ride which travels around the outskirts of the town, with various stops at potential places of interest. There are also a number of public car parks.
