The bottle of water left in the room was great. I would have preferred it outside of the fridge since i do not like cold water but the room was warm from time to time so i see why you do it. Very charming hotel, staff most helpful, wonderful bedroom with beautiful view on the (magnificient) garden.
The spa is incredible and it was so relaxing to enjoy the various treatments I booked (my advice is indeed to book prior your coming if you want to avoid disapointments).
It is at a walking distance (approx. 20/25 minutes) from the city centre.
When arriving, it was a very pleasant surprise to be upgraded and get a superior bedroom ; thanks ++
Truly a very British & peaceful retreat where we enjoyed every single moment.

Our stay at the Old Mill Hotel and Lodge in Bath was absolutely wonderful! The location is stunning, right by the river Avon, with beautiful views and a peaceful atmosphere—perfect for relaxing after a day of exploring the city.
The room was clean, cozy, and well-equipped, with everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, always ready with a smile and great recommendations for places to visit in and around Bath.

Cherry the receptionist, who was endlessly cheerful and helpful and even carried our cases up to our bedroom.
The spa is lovely, though the sauna could be a bit hotter.
The breakfast is just amazing. And far too much for a mere mortal.

What a beautiful city - hard to beat this one.
What a beautiful city - hard to beat this one. Striking architecture and lovely buildings - world class. It seemed that we could only scratch the surface of this stunning city in 2 days/nights. Wide range of excellent bars, cafes and restaurants - very high quality. The shopping is also superb with a wide range of fabulous shops to suit every taste and budget.
I will make this an annual visit from now on.

Visiting mid-week I found the choice of places to eat away from the hotel was not great, some pubs were shut or not serving food and the Hungry Horse has a policy of shutting at 10 pm every day other than weekends
- loads of Charity Shops but not much else however the easy access to Bath and Bristol by train make Keynsham a good place to stay if wishing to explore the area.

You could clearly see that renovation was being undertaken the front looked charming and the restaurant was very comfortable and food very good. On arrival it didn’t feel welcoming and when we highlighted a broken piece ce of furniture the attitude to it was lack lustre. I can clearly see the potential for this to be a hidden as the town is picturesque.

From arrival to departure, we were taken care of. Escorted cheerfully to our rooms by one of the staff. Had a meal in restaurant, which was great. The bar staff and waiters took good care of our needs and even arranged a takeaway breakfast for two of our party leaving early in the morning. The room was fine (room 7 upstairs) and quiet. Power shower, soft towels and kettle with tea/coffee. Location good for access to Bristol. Some of the group were fishing at Blagdon and Chew lakes. Good for walks too.

The accommodation area and hosts exceeded our expectations. The dogs enjoyed their stay and the host went above and beyond to make us feel welcome I would recommend this property to anyone I just wish we could have stayed longer and hope to return in the future

The room was very clean and well appointed., very comfortable beds, Staff friendly and helpful. We weren't troubled by any noise from the pub below. The food was freshly cooked and very tasty., I would recommend both breakfast and dinner. Overall an enjoyable stay and good value.

Found it to be friendly. If you would like a countryside experience then this is a wonderful place to be the views are fantastic. Ideally situated for explloring Wells, Bath and Bristol also Cheddar Gorge.

We stayed in the Mendip Magic cottage.
We stayed in the Mendip Magic cottage. On arrival we saw lovely cottages in a very attractive setting with lots of beautifully planted pots. The inside did not disappoint either. It was cosy and comfortable with everything a home would need. The host was so welcoming with nothing too much trouble. Children would love the friendly goats and chickens on site which is central for visiting Bath, Bristol and the Mendip Hills.

Lovely accommodation, very pretty frontage. Lots of parking space and access. Very friendly and helpful staff throughout our stay. We needed to leave early on last day before breakfast time. They opened early for us, still offering full service.

The architecture of Bath is always so beautiful and so fascinating. The sense of affluence -- very chic and expensive shops, and millions of cafes and restaurants -- is in sharp contrast to the number of homeless, druggies and alcoholics visible in the city. What is being done about this awful polarisation?
