A wonderful place, tastefully renovated property with bonus Highland Coos. Our rooms were upgraded and we really appreciated having washing facilities two weeks into our road trip. Excellent three course dinner and breakfast on lovely dining area. I would highly recommend.

The Anderson Hotel is one of a kind in the best way! The old historic building is filled with all sorts of curiosities and with lots of love. The decor of the rooms is in a fitting vintage style, but everything is very neat and tidy! The food is awesome, they have also a lots of crafty beer on tap and 250 whiskys to choose from. Jim and his crew are the good heart&soul of this location and make your stay worth while.

We enjoyed our stay at the Estate of Ord - many things contributed to this, not the least of which was the polite and professional service from the staff. The country location and the old estate are charming. Our room had plenty of room, a nice high ceiling and a good bath. Things that could be improved are the lack of an electrical outlet for charging devices in our room and the provision of lighting from the lower parking area (as we were not able to find a space at the lodge and had to manage in the dark). One evening there was no hot water for a shower, as well. Otherwise, everything was very nice and the food was good. I've forgotten the type of fish but the meal of fish was delicious.

What a beautiful part of Scotland!

What a beautiful part of Scotland! It was both relaxing and peaceful. There were different things you could do and fantastic places to eat and grab a drink. The dolphin watching was also very fun and different. Crofter’s was one of our favorite food places. Everyone we met were friendly and helpful.

If you're looking for somewhere quiet and peaceful and yet is near enough to a city if you need one then Munlochy is the place. The village does have a co-op which is a short walk from the cottage we stayed at.

Excellent value for money. Lovely views.

Excellent value for money. Lovely views. Strongly recommended. Very friendly and helpful hosts. Liked · Squeaky clean premises. Large living/dining/kitchen room, with a large TV. Clean, fresh linen. Although we could not take advantage of it, the Inn being right below the rooms would have meant we could have had food and drinks at our convenience. The place is within a short walking distance of SPAR, a reasonably well stocked grocery store for essentials. Fresh milk in the fridge! Disliked · Well, there was just one pan and one pot in the kitchen. I sincerely feel a few more of these would be very useful for future guests. There are excellent electric radiators everywhere, but the choice of timer settings should be preferably left to the guests. A mixer tap for the hot and cold water in the bathroom would be extremely useful. The bathroom door bolt (from inside) needs attention. We went with close friends, but not close enough for people to walk in freely when one is using the bathroom! In today's times, segregation of trash is a must. We felt bad dumping all our trash in the same bin

Loverly little coastal village, has the one pub, The plough, a loverly old pub , good selection of local beers, whiskies etc. The Crofters Resturant , worth a visit, we had 2 very nice evening meals. Friendly staff. The beach, nice for walks to Chanonry point, and hope to see dolphins and seals. Nice walk to the Fairy Glen, to waterfalls at the end. There’s a cafe on the beach. And not to far away and a must visit, Cromarty .

A Three day stay was perfect for our trip.

A Three day stay was perfect for our trip. It gave us time to visit Friends and family and discover this lovely unique place. Obviously a stay in mid-December means some facilities are not open eg ferries etc. But the Fishertown Inn was welcoming and we ate there every night. The Last Splash coffee/shop was also a Great find - the best toastie sandwich I have ever had. The Bakery in the Village was also useful for cakes/hot pasties/bread etc and opposite is a General store. We enjoyed walking around the area so we did not have to use our hire car. Lastly, the oil rigs were lit like floating xmas trees.

It's a beautiful village.

It's a beautiful village. We saw dolphins in the Moray Firth from the breakfast room at our B&B! The harbour is nice and an excellent dolphin boat trip leaves from there. The only downside was that there is no pub, and there aren't many taxi companies, which means one of you may end up as the designated driver a lot of the time.
