Fantastic location very close to Dartmoor, perfect for hiking and exploring the area. Breakfast was simple but of very good quality, even without continental style. Bread, yogurt, fruits and more provided a satisfying start. Being able to eat breakfast on the terrace made for a lovely morning experience. There's a charming church nearby, perfect for a nice short walk in the area.

The staff were very friendly and extremely helpful. I loved the outside sitting area in front of our room. The breakfast was excellent, making us what we wanted even though it wasn't on the menu. Good location to visit other beautiful spots and plenty of local walks.

Well the White Hart has got to be the place to stay!

Well the White Hart has got to be the place to stay! The city is fairly flat with a great variety of small shops as well as the usual high street brands. It is brimming with character with the timber framed buildings, the beautiful cathedral and the remaining city walls glimpsed around every corner. It has such history attached to it and the variety of lovely old churches and cobbled streets really takes you back in time. It also has it's fair share of historic pubs alongside modern restaurants and a beautiful witherspoon housed in the most stunning old church. This is sad to see in a way but the amount of people congregating on a Sunday socialising was lovely. They may not have been in a church service but they were definitely partaking in some bread and wine! Forgive the pun. It least it has not been demolished or turned into luxury flats. Exeter is a wonderful city and not to be missed.

We love Exmouth and go on an annual basis.

We love Exmouth and go on an annual basis. The sea front is brilliant , a long 2 mile sandy beach , with thoughtful construction , offering good amenities for both adults and children. Would be good to have another loo block. Some great cafes - esprecially the Italian. We always go on the train from Exmouth to Teignmouth, Dawlish Warren which is very good value for money - beautiful scenery of the estuary.

A superb waterside town with good local shops and amenities. The location feels safe and has a good selection of restaurants and bars to suit most pockets. Accommodation is going to be expensive compared to some other locations, but you get what you pay for (or at least you pay for what you get). Try to sort out car parking before you go - the big problem for Dartmouth is finding somewhere safe and convenient to leave your vehicle.

Have been to Teignmouth before, several years ago.

Have been to Teignmouth before, several years ago. The beach front has been improved. The pier is a bit old and tatty. Some areas are run down. Lots of pubs. The Ship served lovely food at affordable prices. The beach is a mix of red sand and pebbles. The harbour area is a mix of industrial and leisure activities. There is a handy passenger ferry across to Sheldon.

Don't think you would want to stay too long in Salcombe in November. Most shops are shut or open for a very limited time - which is fair enough probably. Restaurants and pubs are towards the upper end of the price range, reflecting the values of the kind of people who mainly visit Salcombe.
