Appreciated the effort and care all staff took to make sure our stay was welcoming, comfortable, and suitable for a young family of 5, who also have food allergies.
The free upgrade upon arrival to their suite with a whirlpool bath was completely unexpected and the kids enjoyed their bath night very much! After a long day of travelling, the staff were more than happy to offer a hand wherever possible from carrying our bags in, finding us a charging point and car park, and making sure their menu and kitchen were prepared for us to order allergy (and child) friendly food! A big thank you again!

Brilliant hosts Mark and Louise, nothing too much trouble, lovely breakfast, comfortable bed, great wi-fi and that is not something you can always get. Great location on sea front and only 10 minute walk to the railway station for journeys along the coast.

Everything.. theres a new caravan there now and what a great one it is.. main room is en suit and we went in the cold spell mid November and it was so warm and cosy.. great area to let the dog out and only a short walk to the beach and local.shop.

With several heritage railways in close proximity and access...
With several heritage railways in close proximity and access by train, Porthmadog should be a must on any Train enthusiast ‘List of places to go’. My son has been talking about the FFestiniog railway (Rheilffyrdd FFestiniog ac Eryri) for many years. We were finally able to make the trek and we were excited to see it all. We could have spent 3-4 days going on the different excursions. Plan on getting into the Boston Lodge railway works for a tour there also.

Quite hilly in parts.
Beach was lovely and clean.
Take shop opening times with a pinch of salt 😉

Nice wee town. Friendly locals. Plenty of shops and things to do. Loads of nice places to visit only a short drive away. If you want a lazy day just sat reading a book, try Criccieth. Beautiful sea views, and a quaint feel about it.

My family originated from Nefyn and I had lost a great great...
My family originated from Nefyn and I had lost a great great grandfather to a shipwreck off Anglesey( the Royal Charter). The Maritime Museum was good and I enjoyed the Bara Brith. The beach was stunning even with the wind and rain. The sunny day we left in showed us the interchange between sea and hills and the dazzling bright colours of the foliage. Loved the sheep and cattle too in the fields.

Never been before but we found Abersoch delightful. We were very impressed with the food and visited several Restaurants. All food was very good and the staff excellent. Shout out to - The Hub, Zinc, Nwdl (Noodle), Sun Inn, Whitehall (Pwllheli). Abersoch Farm Shop definitely worth a visit too.

There is everything there
The swnt museum is a absolute must no matter how many times you visit you will always find something new even a beach sauna two cafes as well as a bakery come cafe which sells amazing fresh bakes a wonderful beach cafe serving anything from pizza to pastries baguettes and drinks which taste amazing
Then there is the two hotels which serve almost all day food and drink
And after all of that is the most fantastic beach which if you are lucky enough to see dolphins in the bay
This us the most fantastic place to stay for

I know Morfa Nefyn very well having spent many holidays here. The Ty-Coch pub on the beach at Porthdinllaen is a great place to spend an evening. There is a magic about the Lleyn Penisula. If you want to get away for a relaxing break, there's no better destination.

It was not too far from the coast and Pwllheli but there are lots of little windy lanes in the area. It's very rural. We picked it because we were visiting a friend. we ate at the hotel and an Indian in Pwllheli. There are lots of little beaches around the peninsular

You can stay on site and every thing is there but if you have a car there are lots of wonderful places to visit with in 20 miles or so Criccieth is hilly with a greaat beach and eating places, Porthmadog is bigger Caernarfon the saln Aberdaron has a great beach Abersoch is cramped and busy with again great beach Pwllheli Another good town and beach

Good base for the area. Both FFestiniog and Welsh Highland narrow gauge railways stop in the town. Portmeiron 5 min drive. Harlech just a bit further. Easy to go sightsee Keith Brymer Jones (Pottery Throwdown) chapel conversion nearby, as on TV series
