TO start the staff was ALL amazing! They were so kind and helpful, it was incredible. One of the best experiences I have had at a hotel. The room was beautiful with the most incredible mini bar I have ever seen. We partook in quite a bit of that. The bed was super comfortable. The toiletries were top notch and they even had a robe, slippers, hair dryer & straightener!! I was in heaven. The design is stunning with a ton of beautiful and cool funky art. The breakfast was mouth watering. Even if not staying there you should totally eat there. My husband said it was the best chicken and waffles he has ever had. It was the perfect stay I wish we had planned a longer stay here. Next time we are back in Edinburgh we will 100% stay here!

My Edinburgh escape was truly unforgettable, thanks to the timeless elegance of The Scotsman Hotel. Set in the heart of the city, perfectly between the Old and New Towns, this iconic landmark made exploring effortless—everything was just a short walk away. When I needed a break from wandering the cobbled streets and hidden closes, it was such a luxury to be able to retreat back to the hotel, recharge, and step right back into the magic of the city. I stayed in Room 901, one of their stunning Feature Rooms—43 sqm of refined comfort spread across two floors, with beautiful details and city views that made every morning feel cinematic. The staff made the stay even more special—warm, welcoming, and always ready to help with a smile.

A Fantastic City, steeped in History.

A Fantastic City, steeped in History. From Gothic type Buildings to the Castle, Edinburgh is a very Classy City that we Enjoyed Immensely. Full of character and the people are Extremely Warm and Helpful. Id Highly recommend a Castle Visit, but booking early is necessary to avoid disappointment. We also took in the Edinburgh Dungeons tour. A Med-evil role play Show takes you through the Dark Ages of the City. Eating in Edinburgh has something for everyone. The vast array of Restaurants, Cafes and Fast food Outlets caters for all Culinary needs. An Overall amazing Experience I'd highly recommend to anyone

Livingston is a quaint, calm neighbourhood.

Livingston is a quaint, calm neighbourhood. Although not easy to access an Uber, there are bus stops if you walk a few minutes, and Livingston North train station is of course a stop for the different rail services. We walked for about 15-20 mins to get to a station. Save the number of taxi operators ahead of your trip, if you're travelling with lots of luggage and want convenient drop offs and pick ups from/to your space in Livingston.

An absolute delight to visit, lots to see and do. We will be returning and probably staying in Dunbar itself, as we were staying about 10 minutes out of town at a holiday site. Very nice, but would have preferred to not have to drive so much. Belhaven Beach is really lovely, with the Bridge To Nowhere, and we went to East Beach and walked round the castle. Just brilliant. Such a lovely friendly town, be sure to visit the John Muir Museum. We had a day in Edinburgh, but should have stayed longer to see more of it all.

Lovely weather, so walked round the loch (lake) to Linlithgow Peel (Park). Visited the Palace, - birthplace of Mary, Queen of Scots, Church & Museum, wonderful.
