Although the hotel was a teeny bit off the beaten track, in terms of transport links to Heathrow or central London, that certainly was not a deterrent. In fact, the immediate area offers many shops, post office & good pubs and is close to the riverside walk Strand-on-the-Green — The Bell & Crown being a highlight. As for our room, we were treated to an upgrade, it was very quiet & restful, as well as being stylish and spotlessly clean. The staff we very friendly & relaxed and we wished we could have stayed another night or two. They really got this right!

Quirky features throughout keep this hotel interesting and the Jenga blocks at recpetion were well used too. Professional and friendly staff. Chilled and relaxed atmosphere. I'll deinitely return

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Outstanding Stay – Truly Exceptional Hotel & Staff! From the moment we arrived, we were treated with warmth and genuine hospitality that set the tone for an unforgettable stay. The hotel itself is stunning—immaculately clean, beautifully designed, and incredibly comfortable. Every detail, from the luxurious bedding to the well-stocked amenities, showed a clear commitment to quality and guest satisfaction. But what truly made this experience exceptional was the staff. Every single person we encountered was professional, attentive, and went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable. Whether it was the front desk helping with our special requests, the housekeeping team keeping everything spotless.

Absolutely wonderful. The Ritz is in Mayfair neighborhood which is one of the most upscale and opulent areas of London and this hotel deserves to be in Mayfair, simply because this it's very upscale and very opulent. Right from where you climb up the stairs to the reception area and then to your room, you feel like royalty. Mr Noor at the reception and Mr Louis at the concierge desk are the best. The entire reputation of The Ritz depends on the front end staff like Mr Noor and Mr Louis. The decor, the breakfast, the rooms, everything and everyone is just top-notch. A big bang for your buck.

Fabulous hotel that we love staying at when in London - staff always make a fuss of welcoming us back, service is impeccable and very personal. Anuar in the breakfast room is particularly fun, helpful and always chatty. We absolutely love the Dorchester and can’t wait to return! Also a thank you to all for making a special birthday even more spectacular- the attention to detail, all the spoils and kindness shown did not go unnoticed!

Amazing location, with a view of the Thames. It’s self check in and I opted not to have my room turned so I was left to myself. The room was small, but clean. The bathroom was a little dated but had lots of hot water and a deep bath which I totally utilised. There are coffee shops and restaurants on site and buses and tubes easily accessible if you are not a walker. I walked for miles and had a wonderful time soaking up the sites.

London provides a huge variety of activities and sightseeing for people of all ages and interests. I visited in late November and December, which meant I enjoyed the fabulous Christmas decorations, lights and markets. I attended a number of productions in west end, which were amazing. The British Museum and art galleries were close by and fantastic. An advantage of visiting at this time of year was I did not have to book anything in advance, I could decide on the day and easily purchase tickets then, however some things were not available due to the season. I learned that a sunny day and warm hotel does not mean leave your coat behind.

"We stayed at this hotel from December 6th to 13th. The hotel was clean and cozy. The staff were very kind, accommodating, and professional. After a long time, my partner and I got a proper good night's sleep and truly relaxed. The breakfasts were excellent, and it was great that we could have something different every day. :) Thank you to the kind gentleman who managed the breakfast service for making me a waffle with Nutella and honey every morning. We had a wonderful time with you and I already miss it. I hope we'll see each other again soon! :) My boyfriend and I highly recommend this hotel!" We had just one night- arrived in the morning (and were allowed to park and leave the car), nice lunch at the hotel and then the train (35 mins) into London for a few hours. The local subway was well used and we ate there. There was reasonable choice and hot drinks, which I didn't expect. Depending on what you like to eat, there are plenty of small eateries. Where we were, there was a station and many buses so connections are there to get around. Pleasant enough suburb.

I recently stayed at Heatherbank Guest House.

I recently stayed at Heatherbank Guest House. The location is relatively convenient for Stansted Airport – about an hour by car transfer – and the staff were friendly enough. As my room did not have a microwave, they kindly allowed me to use the kitchen one. The room and bathroom were clean, with fresh towels provided daily, which I appreciated. However, one major issue left me quite frustrated. On the morning of my departure, I had an early flight at 7 am and needed to wake up at 3 am. To my surprise, the electricity (or main lighting) in my room and bathroom was completely off. I had to shower using my phone’s flashlight. Thankfully, I had finished packing the night before, as doing so in pitch darkness would have been impossible. I checked, and it wasn’t just my room – the small room between my entrance and the main hallway also had no power. Only the main hallway lights were on, which was a relief, as otherwise carrying two heavy suitcases downstairs would have been extremely unsafe. This situation made me think: what if a guest were ill and needed the bathroom at night, a breastfeeding mother needing light, or someone returning late in the evening? I had noticed the generator (or main power) going on and off during the two previous nights as well, with a short power surge to the mini fridge, which was quite noisy. This is an important matter that should be communicated to guests and fixed promptly. While the cleanliness and some of the staff’s helpfulness were positives, this power outage experience left me feeling stressed and disappointed.
