We stayed here for the night with my family of 5 and they were so accommodating! The food was so yummy and had great Gluten Free options for me! The room was so spacious and the bathroom was gorgeous. We loved the hot water bottles that were there too! Gorgeous village as well.

Dunster village is beautiful, very historical and picturesque. We were pleasantly surprised with Dunster Castle Hotel. Our hosts were very helpful and gave us a warm welcome. We had 2 rooms, both comfortable. There is parking behind the hotel. We were in the centre of the village so it's lovely to explore, we also went down to the beach and to see the old train station. Our breakfast was very good, a lovely place to stay.

It is really “Olde Worldy” with bags of character. The George & Pilgrims dates back to 1100’s. My friend and I had a magnificently spacious room with a four poster bed and a view of the Main Street & Square. The entrance to the hotel is from Main Street at the front and runs through to the back leading into a car park (payable). The entrance /exit is a passage way lined with a cosy bar and nooks to sit and enjoy a meal with friends. There is restaurant area too.The staff are lovely, friendly and very helpful. Location is excellent. Fifteen to twenty minute walk to the Chalice Well , White Spring & Tor.

Nice little room, lovely clean bathroom, enough towels to use even though we had to bring it to Nick's attention that house keeping didn't change the towels they just hung the dirty and wet towels back up. We had enough tea and coffee making facilities, we had a fan in the bedroom but felt that 2 might of been better, the hotel doesn't serve food but we knew that before booking but there's loads of cafes and pubs very local. All in all a very nice hotel and we would stop again.

I was only passing through and stayed one night just outside Wincanton. I only had time for a short walk round the town but found a lovely independent cafe/delicatessant, 'Clementina', comfortabe with a warm welcome. I had a lovely coffee and almond croissant to warm up, and while in conversation with the ?owner, she only charged for my coffee as a birthday treat!! This was a quiet Sunday morning in early December but would stop off again and be interested to see more of the town.

Liked · EXCEPTIONALLY PEACEFUL AND CLEAN ACCOMMODATION. HIGHLY RECOMMEND. From the moment we we arrived at Maplestone we were made to feel really welcome. Alan showed us to our room and made us a pot of tea with cake and sat with us in the garden, great service. Alan is an excellent host with a friendly, professional manner with great local knowledge. The accommodation is very comfortable, clean and tastefully decorated. Exceptional breakfast was plentiful and delicious with great choice. The property has a beautiful, quiet garden with tables and chairs to relax in. Would definitely stay again. Well done Alan and thank you for your making us feel so welcome.
