Only found this great place as we were planning a trip to Petworth and Amberley. Couldn't get in previous accommodation that we had used and glad now that we didn't. Lovely rooms, exceptionally friendly staff and food in restaurant was excellent although possibly a little pricey.

Gravetye Manor is a magical place. The house built in the late 1500’s retains its charm and has all the modern comforts. Breakfast offers many choices of hot and cold foods. You sit by floor to ceiling windows looking out on the spectacular gardens. The bedroom (Pear) was large and had three windows overlooking the gardens. Staff are friendly, kind, competent. Dinner came with 4-5 little extra food treats between courses. A marvellous experience!

One of the best hotel spas we've been to in England! The place is really well maintained, has all the charms of yesteryears but the conveniences of today. I especially enjoyed the pool, wish I could've swam more! The food was also really lovely, haven't seen a delicious breakfast spread like that in ages.

What a lovely, lively City, we benefitted by visiting at Christmas when the lights were all on and the Christmas tree was fabulous. A good selection of shops, where every one of them made you welcome. A great place to absorb the history and many types of architecture, with a wide choice of eateries.

I love how accessible Worthing is. Mostly flat.

I love how accessible Worthing is. Mostly flat. Easy walking. My sister and her family live here so I visit 2 - 3 times a year. In the Summer I discovered the Chatsworth Hotel. It is old, quaint but perfectly comfortable to stay in. Summer time the cooked breakfast was lovely and worth the extra cost. Winter time it was just Yoghurt, pastries and fruit but they were all free so a really good plus. Love the view from the breakfast room onto the park.

We have known the town of East Grindstead of many years having grown up in a village very close by and attending school there. In our opinion, it is not as nice as it was, we moved away some 10 years ago to escape the never ending urban sprawl, high street decline, and neon monstrosities built after demolishing irreplaceable period buildings. That said, there isn't really a lot to do, and is best summed up as a stop over for Gatwick Airport, a shame really as we have many fond memories.

I have stayed at The Old House before and loved it.

I have stayed at The Old House before and loved it. Unfortunately when I tried to book again it was always full, but I managed to get this short break. The pub is in a convenient location for visiting my family. There is a lovely atmosphere and the staff are very friendly and helpful. They make you feel welcome. The room-it was the same one twice as per my request-was perfect for my elderly mother with mobility issues. There was a wet room which meant my Mum could shower easily. The beer garden is lit up at night and looks magical. When we arrived on a Saturday, the beer garden was full. There were many families enjoying the sun and it there was a relaxed feel to the place. Despite the planes from Gatwick and the beer garden, the room was quiet and both myself and my Mum had good sleep.
