It was a perfect apartment with a great sea view, clean and there was everything you need for a summer holiday. Because of being an apartment I was not expecting house clean but it was and it was also good. Balcony was very good with table and umbrella. Also huge full windows can be closed with automatic shutters. Mosquito net was a plus for us. You will be getting a service of 2-3 stars hotel from an apartment (with towels, house cleaning, espresso machine with with coffee capcules...)
Cindy and her husband were great hosts, it was quite nice to sit and chat with them. If I will be going Chios again, it will be my address again.
Hotel is in Karfa which I have found better than Chios Center. Chios Center is crowded and not good for swimming. Karfa sea was good but for me it is too shallow. It would be better for families with children. But I can say there are lots of good beaches nearby if you have a car and lots of good places to eat also. It is also really close to Chios center to find whatever you need in Chios.

Where to begin? This place is perfectly lovely as is the gentleman who runs it. He had great advice on which places to go based on our particular interests and gave us a tour of the grounds. We felt very cared for. The grounds are beautiful and the rooms are sumptuous and spacious. Slept like a rock. The beds are really comfortable and the linens of high quality. We all took our filling breakfasts out to garden to eat amongst the trees...and cats. The cats were delightful, too.

The location, hotel, rooms, and other things were great. The staff was amazing. Cleanliness is not their strongest point, but the rooms were comfortable, the kitchen materials were new, and each room had an air conditioner. The location is close to the beach, which is quite comfortable; you can always go back to your room from the beach to rest or take anything from the room. We will definitely stay again in the hotel next time we are in Chios.

The location, the room, the host...everything is amazing about plaka studios. It was like a summer house to me. The owner Effie and her family theay are all amazing. I travelled with my dog, we had the the time of our life. Very comfortable, we had everything we needed. I strongly recommend here.

Unfortunately the Green Bus Service was closed due to non payment of wages so was not able to visit villages on that service. The local city bus is still operating. I was lucky to do a tour with Kanaris Tours. They do not however tour every day so it’s important to check the days of the week and where you want to go.

The Bahari restaurant was exceptional.
The Bahari restaurant was exceptional. The food was delicious. Suitable for the wheelchair. The toilets are perfectly clean. There was a menstrual pad for our use. That is very thoughtful of them. The service was spectacular. The sea view is marvellous. There was a good size of the car park in front of the restaurant.

without a car it is difficult. It is really really small, there is nothing much to do other than swimming. If your priority is swimming this is the right place. don't except clubbing. even ice cream is hard to find.

Kampos is a nice area full of older mansions, many restored for use as bed and breakfast. The mansions typically have high walls, and extensive gardens inside the courtyards, full of trees and flowers. It is generally a quiet area, very quaint, and close to major roads leading south, north, and west, not far from the capital city and the airport. We ate at a variety of establishments, both in the nearby village and on the coast. All had fresh seafood and local dishes and the prices were very reasonable. We didn't find a place anywhere that could be considered a "tourist trap."

Mesta should be a world heritage site.
Mesta should be a world heritage site. This beautiful stone village is like a step back in time, it's so well preserved and authentic. It's a delight to wander the narrow alleys and relax in the little main square.
There's plenty to do around the area as well - nearby mastica villages Olympi and Pyrgi are also wonderful day trips, and there are lots of lovely beaches around too.
One thing to note is that Mesta doesn't have a few modern things you might need, like an ATM, gas station, pharmacy, doctor, supermarket, etc. You have to drive about 15-20 minutes to Pyrgi for those things. Also, no public transportation, and I didn't see any taxis.

Picturesque medieval village, close to excellent beaches, bars and a very good fish restaurant. The monastry of Ag. Markella (the patron saint of the area) is 7 KM boasting breathtaking views of the Western side of Chios.

If you like winding streets and unique towns, and old stone towns, Pyrgi is for you!!! I have been to many villages but Pyrgi will always stand out, I highly recommend!!!!! I loved it, I tried to walk every little street! The archways between houses are fascinating!

The house is new and modern, and the view was beautiful. The furniture and household items inside were new and clean. The location of the house was also great, close to a good beach. Breakfast was sufficient and nice every day. Communication with the owner was easy, and they were very helpful with all our requests. They also gave us recommendations on places to visit. The cleanliness of the house was great, and when they cleaned later, they even washed the dishes. Thank you very much. I was satisfied with everything, and I will definitely stay here again when I return

An interesting island, quite large, very mountainous, but with excellent roads. Beaches are well-equipped, with gravel and sandy beaches in the southeast and southwest. The north is more rocky, but the sea and mountain landscapes are beautiful everywhere. Friendly people, reasonable prices, and simple, good food, in the Greek tradition. The Turkish coast is visible from the east, and in places very close.

We liked the beach that we could walk to. The free sun beds if you eat in the restaurants. It wasn't too busy or crowded. The bus service was good to the capital. A relaxed and friendly resort.
