Very nice place to stay for a visit at the lakes. The host is amazing and receives you with a drink. The breakfast is luxurious and made at the moment (eggs, pancakes etc). The room very spacious and clean. Beds and pillows amazing. Wifi connection very strong. Parking right in front for free and there is a nice terrace to sit where we met other guests and had a fantastic night.

We had an unforgettable stay at Ethno Houses during the winter! The snowy surroundings were like something out of a fairytale, and the cosy atmosphere of the property made it the perfect retreat from the cold. The room was warm, clean, and beautifully designed, with thoughtful touches . Waking up to breathtaking views of snow-covered landscapes was an absolute highlight. The staff were amazing, always ensuring we were comfortable and offering great tips for enjoying the winter activities nearby, especially the sledge for the kids and the kids area, which were an add-on. The kids also loved the small farm, especially the cute pony :) After a day in the snow, it was such a treat to come back and enjoy activities such as table tennis. It was truly a magical winter escape, and I can’t recommend it enough for anyone looking for a cosy, snowy getaway!" Thank you once again!

ONE OF THE BEST PLACES I EVER STAYED AT! The sorroundings are simply amazing, cats, horses, squirrels, a lot of flowers and intense vegetation makes this place something very special. Added to this, the interior of the house is almost all made out of wood, which makes you feel as if you were in a movie almost. 1000% recommended to anyone looking forward to relax and connect with nature 💙

The room was spatious, clean and comfortable. Breakfast was great and staff were friendly. There aren’t many good options around. We are at the pizzeria (800m walk) both nights. There is a convenience store about 1.2km away but it was closed. Would recommend to bring snacks/all supplied due to limited options. Pizzas were great and cheap!

Check in and check out was very easy. The room was clean and very comfortable. The pool area was super to use and we had a lovely meal at the restaurant. The waitress was very helpful in recommending the traditional food on the menu and also gave us tips for visiting the nearby Plitvice Park.

You really need several days to visit what that place has to...

You really need several days to visit what that place has to offer. Don’t miss the Spelaton center and Barać caves. We been on Barac Traill race and the organizers really do the best of them. Also don’t miss the fast food in rakovica on road by the Apartment green park with delicious burgers.

We stayed in Grabovac as we wanted to visit Plitvice.

We stayed in Grabovac as we wanted to visit Plitvice. We booked our tickets a day before for 7am. I'm glad we went early as from 9am the park was very busy. We used entrance 2, for a longer walk (but not the longest), it was very good until we reached entrance 1 (by small ferry) which was extremely busy. I do not recommend entrance 1 as the queue for ferry was very very long. Generally avoid busy periods if you want to enjoy nature.

The B&B Plitvica Hill was great.

The B&B Plitvica Hill was great. The owner was there to answer any questions and help you get settled in. The room are all new and very well set up. The beds were great. My wife and I would sleep to much.

Plivice Lakes National Park is a must see.

Plivice Lakes National Park is a must see. Natural beauty takes your breath away. It was the higlight of our tour, because we have never seen a reserve like this. Jezerce is only 5-10 minutes drive from on of the entrances to the park. Jezerce itself is beautiful and reminiscent of the Swiss Alps.

This is a great place to base yourself when visiting the Plitvice NP. We only did a one night stay on transit between Zagreb and Zadar. There are lots of different sights to see, so wish we had a few days. There are caves and more waterfalls to see outside the National Park. The main township was much bigger than we expected. Amazing area. We ate at the family owned restaurant in a big orange building on the Eastern edge of Korenica, Restaurant Sapena. Fabulous grilled trout, and the best grilled meat platter ever.

This town is very close to Plitvice and a great place to stay for less money than the official Plitvice hotels. There are a couple of restaurants in town, Restoran Degenija serves delicious food, a bit upscale, though not too expensive. Most of the town is on the main road to Plitvice, so there is a lot of traffic.

We were there in April and went just for Plitvic lakes, it was quite cold in the morning & evening, glad we had our puffer jackets. An absolute bonus was the gorgeous little village of Rastoke, stunning and the best food of our entire 2 weeks in Croatia.

A unique park with a series of interconnecting lakes and numerous waterfalls. It is an incredibly beautiful place. There are walkways between the lakes, sometimes of wood (over water) and sometimes of dirt and stone. The wood walkways are not wide and if crowded it can be difficult to pass. But the walkways allow the visitor to experience the beauty and uniqueness of the waterfalls and lakes. Our hike, which included stopping for photos, lasted 2 hours, and we selected a short trail. We could easily have spent a full day at the Park. There were four of us and we agreed that we had never seen a place like Plitvice.

We stayed here primarily to visit Plitvice national park but the area was beautiful, a complete contrast to the Croatian coastline. It felt very Austrian in influence with chalet style houses, lots of green countryside and flowers. It was also a lot cheaper to eat out and buy coffees/ice creams than on the coast. Plitvice was incredible (although v hot and busy in August). I would like to go back at a quieter time as there were long queues to get on the boats which was not ideal in the heat with children. It was a shame that there is nowhere you are allowed to swim as we would have enjoyed the opportunity to cool off!
