GermanyThe hosts were phenomenal, they made us feel so comfortable. We were allowed to leave our bags with them after checkout so we didn’t have to traipse them around town. Afterwards I was wet from swimming and they insisted I go back to the room to change (despite checkout) and offered me towels, very kind people. It was super well located (like a 3 minute walk from the ferry and town). The apartment had everything we needed, it was super clean and the layout/aesthetics were lovely too. If we could we’d give it 11/10.

What a glorious boutique hotel in a truely hidden gem. Elegant and epitomising quiet luxury, not only are the rooms comfortable but also stylish. The venue as a whole has the same aesthetic. Breakfast in the terrace is delightful and the choices are superb with fresh herbs from the garden. Yes, bathrooms are small but I found it still well laid out and functional. The minibar and coffee machine are a welcome extra and the bed was super comfortable. Service was exceptional, and I highly suggest following recommendations from the staff; they know the island and the vistas so well. I actually found parking very easy and had no issues getting to the hotel though Vis is a historical city so expect cobble stone pathways. It’s part of the charm!

Damir and his wife are perfect hosts: from picking up and taking us to the ferry, to the delicious fresh homemade breakfasts on the rooftop. The view is breathtaking. One can easily tell Damir enjoys having people around and gives great recommendations to enjoy Vis!
The rooms are comfortable, clean and with the necessary amenities, including a mich necessary AC during summer. There is tea, coffee and biscuits available at all times in a common space. The room we stayed at had a small balcony with view to the private pool, shared among guests.

We booked 3 separate rooms for 3 couples, they are all located in the same building and each has access to the terrace which has a beautiful view. The rooms were clean, equipped with a small well-equipped kitchen. The bed were super comfortable, the bathroom spacious. The host was always available and ready to solve any problem, it was definitely a delightful stay!

The location is central to the shops and restaurants. The villa was cozy, spacious & well equipped with everything we needed for our stay, as well as a fully stocked kitchen. The best part of the villa was the patio and having dinners outside was a treat. Would definitely stay there again!

The hosts were so incredibly friendly and so helpful. The accommodation was perfect. Everything worked, the kitchen was well kitted out with equipment. Especially ideal with a lovely beach about 10 minute walk away.

The island of Vis is truly very special, still largely untouched by mass tourism, which gives it a unique and authentic charm. Its beaches are fabulous, with crystal-clear waters and stunning landscapes, perfect for relaxing and enjoying nature. Additionally, the island offers wonderful restaurants where you can taste local cuisine made with fresh and flavorful ingredients. Here, time seems to slow down, allowing you to savor every moment calmly. The people are very friendly and welcoming, always willing to share their culture and hospitality.

Lovely little fisherman village.
Lovely little fisherman village. Beautiful nature, pebble beaches, lots of cats and dogs all around, simple life and very relaxing place (in May). Cute old buildings and narrow streets. Good food in restaurants and at the market place.

When we arrived, we were greeted by the lovely host.
When we arrived, we were greeted by the lovely host. There was 2 beers in the fridge and some nuts which was a lovely add. It was clean and can’t fault the host or the room. However, the only thing to be made aware of is that the location is very far away from the port. It is a 20 minuet walk to the beach. A supermarket near by is mentioned however we were not able to find it. Luckily we had hired a car and were able to drive to others about 30 minuets away. There are 2 restaurants which are both lovely within walking distance but only sell fish related dishes. Would be perfect for a weekend away of peacefulness and to get away from others.

Vis is a great place to unplug and relax. The color of the ocean is mesmerizing and the streets of Vis town, Kut, and Komiza are fun to wander. We enjoyed a boat trip seeing the Blue Cave, Green Cave, and swimming at several beautiful beaches, although the water was still a bit chilly this time of year (on the plus side, the sites weren't crowded). Food and wines are fantastic, and there are so many great restaurants in Kut and Vis. If we'd had more time, we would have scheduled a wine tour as well.

Stunning part of the world.We did the hike over the hill to Beraski Beach location for a few scenes in The Mamma Mia 2 movie.Werll worth it as scenery unreal but not for those who struggle with incline or decline!!1.20hrs moderate paced walk there and back with the most beautiful crystal clear water to swim in and shady places to chill and have refreshments if you brought any!!Huge choice of great restaurants in Komiza and lots of excursions by boat to suit everyone’s budget.Food reasonable and wine delicious!!!

Very pretty island with some nice swimming areas, perfect for chilling. Ample cafés and bars however we found Hotel Issa to offer by far and away the best value for walk in meals
Good fun tracking down the Mama Mia locations.
Ferry times make it unworkable for a single day trip so you have to factor in 2 nights accommodation

Komiza is a lovely town with a great seaside getaway vibe.
Komiza is a lovely town with a great seaside getaway vibe. It's only 15 minutes from Vis Town and it's a bit more lively and definitely much more beautiful. They have the best tour operator on the island called Ames – a lovely couple who organise amazing boat trips round the island and cook exquisite food using locally sourced produce. Surprisingly, there are no ridiculously overpriced tourist traps and people are really lovely. Do yourself a favour and go there.
