The place literally lives up to it's name. It really is an escape. It is placed in a rural area, far away form traffic, noise and crowds. We had a King Deluxe Suite and it lived to our expectations. Amazing view of the pool and ocean. I recommend getting this instead of the standard rooms if you want more privacy because those are at pool level. The staff was amazing and very helpful. Room service was fast and perfect. Totally recommend if you want to spend a few days away from crowds.

We loved this place, because all people were extremly friendly, polite and professional at the cottage. Amazing breakfast with all kinds of options, beautiful and lovely details in the garden and all comunity places. Rooms are cosey, have huge and comfortable beds, everything is very clean and tidy. Great location, since the accomodation is in a very relaxed area, but just a few minutes from bars, restaurant, gyms, yoga places, shops, and very close to the beach too. Owners really keep an eye on everything, Anna and Maria make this place unforgettable with amazing welcoming attitude, being the best hosts ever!

We stayed for 6 days. Food (Sukun restaurant), ambiance, rooms and service were top rate. We felt at home from the moment we stepped in. The pool area is quaint and calming and was never super crowded. We did visit during the rainy season. All the staff were super friendly and accommodating to our requests. Special mention to Radha and Eka for providing daily activities that we looked forward to and made our stay memorable. I mentioned Sukun earlier and it's probably one of the best restaurants in the area. The breakfasts were multi course with a lot of selection and tasty. We visited the spa for couples massage and highly recommend the Balinese massage.

An Island Dream

I have travelled through the whole of Indonesia, and this is literally the best place you will get (for such a low price)! Super clean (no sewage smell as literally everywhere else), feeling 100% safe all the time, cool architecture and design (luxuriously youthful, with the pool, common areas - everything well maintained). Location is incredible - Kuta can be noisy and chaotic, but this one is on a quiet little street (but only 20 meters from the main street), and the beach is just a short walk from the inn (I went surfing twice a day (3min walk), everything else is less than a minute walk from the inn - shops, restaurants...). The staff is 1st class - SUPER kind, they are always helpful, making sure the facilities are spotless throughout the whole day and making sure the guests are feeling well. Special mention to the amazing Miss Lefiana, the hotel manager who made sure I felt at home, being extremely professional yet kind. Wherever I went for several days throughout my travel on Bali (Ubud, Canggu, Lombok ...) I kept coming back to Cara Cara ❤️

Patal Kikian offers a beautiful and serene location and unbelievable views to Mt. Agung. Service was very attentive and polite. Villa with a small dipping pool was a good choise and would book again with no hesitation. SPA treatments were very good and SPA location gave nice views to surroundings. Food and drinks had good quality. Hotel's free morning trekking was a good experience and the guide took us to local Balinese house and lush country side. We can only recommend this hotel to everyone who loves a smaller and serene resort with an awesome and remote location in Sidemen. Pure relaxation.

We stayed here for a friends wedding for the one night and as such didn’t have the time to use all of the facilities on offer at the resort however one thing we hugely enjoyed was our private floating breakfast in the OneEighty sky pool - book this if you can!

Love Ubud. Have visited more than a dozen times.

Love Ubud. Have visited more than a dozen times. Jungle, river gorges, rice terraces, temples, waterfalls, culture, artwork all quite extraordinary. Then there are all the hotels, restaurants, stores, bars, architecture … just exceptional. Above all, the warm, happy nature of the hard working Balinese people is charming.

Kuta is very busy, traffic is hectic, but there is plenty to see and do. Shopping is good, with plenty of bargains and hotels are very good. It was easy to get a taxi to travel around and we found the best driver, BAGUS, who took us on a 12 hour day tour of middle Bali (Ubud and surrounds) for only $50 AUD.

Seminyak was great, but like everything in the Beach areas...

Seminyak was great, but like everything in the Beach areas things are starting to age and it seems little is being done modernise. Sadly things like rubbish removal has been cut back by the local government leaving it the responsibility of the locals to deal with it. Resorts ok because they have the facilities and infrastructure to do so.

Interesting very surf orientated town. Road planning unfortunately very bad. Very difficult to get around. Good restaurants, night spots, retail outlets. Mighty beach. Good Aston pool upstairs. Colourful and vibrant, lots of energy.

Uluwatu is beautiful, all the beaches and modern restaurants...

Uluwatu is beautiful, all the beaches and modern restaurants, bars and cafe's lean more towards the coastal side, it's very easy to get around here with lots of Grab/GoJek bikes and cars driving around often, never waited more than 4 minutes for a ride. Walking around would be easy too, the sidewalks aren't too difficult however the humps and hills of the roads are definitely a workout in the hot sun. Lots of construction in Uluwatu, the streets are noisy, lots of trucks and drilling everywhere.

Kopi Kiosk was a 5minute walk away down Jasmin Gang/lane.

Kopi Kiosk was a 5minute walk away down Jasmin Gang/lane. Hardies supermarket was next door to the Kiosk for grocery supplies and souvenirs and clothing. I always recommend Sanur to people heading to Bali for a first trip or tenth trip.

we are glad we stayed in bali for 17 days enjoyed travelling up to ubud and over to sanur seeing the monkeys watching sunsets eating food and having cash the bali money and being able to tip for great service . watching the fireworks was another fantastic memory whilst staying in bali .

Nusa Dua is perfect for a relaxing beach holiday. It does lack the vibrancy and hustle and bustle of other spots in Bali but as an older couple who just needed to wind down after a busy year, it was petfect.

Nusa Penida is a wild island, there are stunning views and...

Nusa Penida is a wild island, there are stunning views and beaches. It is not easy to wonder around. Roads are bad and it is not the best if you are not an expert with the scouter, in that case you will need to use the local drivers. I suggest Crystal Bay, and Klingking Beach (for sure). If you got to do the snorkeling with the Manta Rays go early, later it is really crowded. Consider that it takes long time to go in the main point of interests.

The beach was very disappointing, we were there in August...

The beach was very disappointing, we were there in August 2023 and I don't remember the beach being so dirty with rubbish as it was this week. The amount of litter was out of control - definitely will only be a 1 night stay close to airport from now on.
