Charlie and his wife Maria welcomed us in the warmest of ways in their self-built and self-designed homestay. The structure is very beautiful, with a nice pool outside. We were provided a free shuttle from the LBJ airport. Rooms were clean, with air conditioning and a comfortable bed. Breakfast and dinner were simple but exquisite. You can really tell Charlie has a taste for hospitality, we recommend it 100%.

Everything was awesome. We really relaxed in Amrita. We are a family of 6 and felt that resort was almost all for us as it’s not too big. Impeccable service, beautiful rooms, restaurant overlooking the water. Just what we needed after road trip around Flores. Recommend to anyone a hundred percent. One day we went by door to another popular resort in the area which was lovely too but had a completely different vibe from what we were searching for. Amrita is more tranquil and private.

The villas are very beautiful and comfortable. They have everything you could need and are spotlessly clean. The pool is wonderful. All the staff are lovely people, always smiling and ready to help with anything. Ricky in particular is doing an excellent job. He’s such a kind guy, always making sure everything is perfect and that we feel comfortable. He helped us with absolutely everything (scooter rental, tips on places to visit nearby, taxi to the airport, etc.). We’re very grateful to have met him. We extended our stay for two more days to enjoy everything the hotel has to offer :)

Wonderful greek-inspired hotel. Everything is well designed in detail even with a Mykonos-style windmill and beautiful gardens. Must stay here if you come to Maurere. Great, bright rooms, modern good bathroom, good aircon, quiet lication. And also good wifi. Very welcoming staff and a very nice manager who reallt cares about his guests and can give tips, arrange a shared taxi and help to get an "ojek" (motorbike taxi) or rent motorbike. We enjoyed also the delicious breakfast with great choices and home-made marmelade and fresh fruits. Dinner in restaurant excellent, too, with reasonable pricing. They offer also cold beer. And they had a library with german books. There is a beach nearby (15 min walk) , east of hotel. Ok for swimming at high tide. Also nice for beach walk and beach has a beach-side cafe open at day-time. Ojeks and minibuses (normally crowded) go along the road , one does not need own transport.

We loved everything! The atmosphere is incredible, we arrived and felt right away at home. We loved our bungalow with the most beautiful view over the ocean and every evening a stunning sunset. The food was so delicious, we loved the dinner buffet, with traditional dishes and to eat with all the other guests together. The organised diving trips have been glorious! It’s really a little oasis, filled with love and tranquility. We really could wind down, relax and rejuvenate. We stayed one week and would have loved to never leave again.

Booked a week stay in L Bajo, I will definitely stay here again, it's in a prime location, 15min walk to the harbor which is only a few minutes drive, and a supermarket next door. Staffs are super friendly, simple but clean room with comfortable bed, great value for money. Love the sunset view! Shout out to Arna who greeted me in check-in and sent me off the last day. She's lovely! Two things to note: - very simple breakfast with only coffee, milk, toast and cup noodles. Not my top choice for breakfast but when you're getting up at 5:30 for diving there's literally no other breakfast options around and the hot coffee and cup noodles have saved a few of my mornings. It's free and considering the room rate I won't complain at all. - the hotel doesn't provide towels, remember to bring yours.

I would give 100 points for everything. In such an isolated island, they are able to provide solar electricity, good food, good drinks, and there're always someone to help you if you need anything. All the boys work hard every from morning to 9 or 10 to provide all services and entertainment at night. I felt like it's such a privilege to be on the island. Read carefully all the reviews to be aware of the inconvenience, but it's nothing compared to what they provided. The beach is heaven, the corals are beautiful with so many colorful fishes. We saw some mini sharks, my boyfriend saw one turtle near the bridge . In the morning, the tide is low and we can see the coral just on the sand. First time in life 🙏

First of all we got free transport from/to airport. Room view was amazing and we watched the sunset every day. Sweet staff, they helped us to rent a scooter, arrange a day trip on boat to Komodo islands and recommended us local attractions. Free shuttle bus was also very convenient (to city at 7 PM and back to hotel at 9 PM) - you can enjoy the atmosphere of the night market. On our last day after check out we stayed on the top floor, enjoying the pool and a good food from the hotel restaurant - while waiting for our flight.

I booked the Eco Tree for the night before and after the liveaboard I went on to discover the Komodo Islands. It is the perfect starting point as it is very centrally located at the harbor and everything that makes a tourist's heart beat faster is within walking distance. The rooms are very comfortable and clean, so you can relax here after an exhausting trip before continuing on. But there is also no way around the Exo tree to relax after a few days liveaboard. I can only recommend it to anyone.

Location in pure magic, cottages are very well decorated, beds are comfortable and just in front of the beach. Staff is very helpful with everything, they helped us find a driver to go to Ende and rent a scooter when we need to. The restaurant is good, especially coconut pancakes for breakfast, I really loved it! You also can do a snorkeling trip that I would really suggest to do and Book massage if you want. So, if you are in Maumere stay there or go for sunset and dinner! Thanks a lot.

Hotel is located a bit out of city center of Labuan Bajo, but with walking distance. Room was very big, clean and equipped with all facilites. The view from window was simply astonishing. Breafast was tasty and very good, they prepared for my a great lunch pack for a day I couldn't eat breafast. Beautiful outdoor swimmingpool and recration area (perfect garden). Very nice hotel staff.

Location, Breakfast, View, Staff is perfect. As Grab is not useful in the Labuan Bajo village and taxi quite expensive, the location of the hotel is just awesome, could walk to everywhere, harbour, Starbucks, restaurants, travel agency... And there's 360° view on the roof.

Such a beautiful spot with large, comfortable rooms. With it being about 2km out of town, the area is quiet and the resort, very relaxing. The staff are amazingly accommodating and helpful. We had the best stay and will definitely be back to take in those sunsets.

I came for diving - going on a short Liveaboard for 3 days...

I came for diving - going on a short Liveaboard for 3 days and doing 3 days of shore diving. The place is on the cusp of turning towards the dark side of tourism ghetto that is overbearing, but at the moment it's worth visiting. I would have stayed for another day, but airlines serving the airport (Komodo International Airport) do what they want. My flight there was delayed 2 hours and my flight leaving to connect with an international flight was rescheduled less than 48 hours before departure. It meant i had to leave the day before because there was no way i'd make the connection. People working there told me my experience is a common one - giving much worse examples. For less experienced divers, be aware currents are common - some very strong.

A very dirty, busy city. Easy to be run over and huge holes in the sidewalks. Best not to stay here. There are no restaurants. To see the Spiderweb Rice fields it is best (if traveling by car) to just stop there on your way through (takes maybe 1/2 hour) and continue on

Great place worth viewing, I would recommend taking a picnic up there so you can spend more time there and have lunch they are plenty of different spots to wonder around l. The forest is beautiful which is something you don't really see when walking through in the dark for sunrise.

A very vibrant and busy town, as a white family we attracted a lot of attention, not always good. Uncomfortable walking around the town. We used taxis to move around the town. If I was traveling by myself I would have used public transportation, the bemos look fun!

Nice, small, authentic village.

Nice, small, authentic village. Extremely friendly people. Good food, big portions. Scenery along the coast is mindblowing. Streets are in good condition or new, with few exceptions. Good for daytrips along the coast or traveling from town to town. Good connections to/from Bajawa by shared transport (100kIDR per person for one direction). Expect 150kIDR for long distance hops Labuan Bajo - Ruteng - Bajawa - Ende (3,5h each).

Anyone travelling to Maurmere should be aware there are severe problems with the local airport. It can be closed due to volcanic activity and if it is you will have almost no way of confirming or arranging other travel except by road. Maumere itself is pretty low service. There are no restaurants except very small local Warungs where you cannot guarantee hygiene. If staying at Cocnut beach it has a great reasturant and facilities but be aware you will likely not leave the hotel accept to do activities such as visit the Kelimutu Volcano which can also be done from other towns.

Fairly expensive, not as developed, if you’re there for a boat tour, just get in and get out, not much to do there you can’t do in Bali or Lombok much cheaper. Can’t say enough about Sudamala Resort, reasonably priced if you book in advance and 5 star all the way.

Highly HIGHLY recommend the 3D2N liveaboard to see multiple islands, pink beach, the Komodo dragons, Padar island with the beautiful hike for the view, and snorkeling throughout. We got to see baby sharks the last day and swim with them! It was amazing! Also highly recommend Cunca Wulang waterfall, Rangko cave, and the Mirror Stone cave. I do wish that I got to walk around the harbor and all the shopping around it but all the natural beauty was well worth the trip!

Higly recommended to everyone who wants to really enjoy the Ruteng and surrounding area, Waerebo village included (you can get there by motorbike). Ino and his family are awesome people, willing to help you with everything you need or want. You really become the member of the family. I would definitely come back if I visit Flores again. Breakfasts are so delicious and different every day (Im vegan and they prepared special meal for me, but I felt like a queen), beds are so comfy, they have hot shower, you can chill out at the garden or in the shed where you can also cook by yourself. They will give you valuable information and recommendations on places you should visit.. and there is much more. In the end, we are speechless, this stay exceeded our expectations.
