Together with my husband we stayed at Sabana hotel for 4 nights as a part of our honeymoon. This place is amazing! The most important advantage of this place are people - hotel employees are so kind and helpful - we truly felt like in home :) Hotel lobby looks really nice, rooms are well-equipped. We had a room with the balcony, where the delicious breakfasts were served. We can also recommend hotel restaurant. This place has also a great viewpoint at the top of the building. The location is great - near the Ubud centre, but on a quiet site street. We also appreciated free shuttle service around Ubud centre.

We had an outstanding stay the the Taman Amartha Hotel in Ubud! the facilities were perfect, clean and a great value for the price. the staff was kind and helpful and the breakfast was delicious. The location was just a 15 minute walk outside of the main district but that was perfect since main street in Ubud can be a little chaotic with heavy traffic. We would definitely stay again if given the chance.

On arrival the staff welcomed us with refreshing drinks and some cold towels and a hand made flower necklace. Check in was seamless and we were offered free lunch to use over our stay. The staff brought our bags to our room and we were told about the facilities and how to contact reception etc. They also provided a mozzie plug in. Our room came with lots of snacks and drinks. The view from the room was amazing, our into the rain forest, absolutely stunning. Our private pool also had this same view, amazing, it blew our minds. The main pool also has this same view! The bathroom was gorgeous with a huge bath and a shower and plenty of space for our suitcases etc. The bed was super comfortable! The landscaping of the gardens around the rooms is amazing so nice to walk around and take it all in. We also received a massage in the onsite spa and it was so good and relaxing, definitely recommend.

This resort was a highlight for us, one of the few places in Bali where we got to relax and spend a lot of time in the hotel. We got a room with a private pool which was a definitive highlight of our stay and one of our favorite hotels because of that. The room was great, internet worked well, and breakfast was also very delicious. A pleasant surprise was the availability of shisha for rentals at the restaurant and pool, a nice little vacation add-on for me! We got massages twice and the massage area was beautiful as well as the yoga area above it (though I didn't use it for Yoga). We had torrential downpour one night after dinner - and it was very nice they had umbrellas, and its those details that make for a great 10 rating!

The room was BEAUTIFUL. The aesthetics were absolutely lovely. You can't draw the curtains on the transparent windows near the roof which I LOVED. You have no choice but to wake up to the beautiful place when the sun is up and high. And you're wide awake naturally which is wonderful. The food was excellent. Absoulte yum. Apparently the chef is rated #3 in Ubud. I don't believe how two different chefs cook better than him/ her!

Absolutely loved it, I felt like a queen. They remember your name, what you like and don't like. The breakfast is very good, lots off choices, nice coffee, fruit, cereals and bread. Welcoming drink and massage, great swimming pools, bars and restaurants. The staff really made our stay unforgettable. Loved the view from the balcony of our apartment, the bathroom is nice, fresh towels and water twice a day.

Ubud is a magical place, and I'm glad I spent most of my time in Indonesia there. A vast, peaceful culture of well-being and tranquillity. Kind people, wherever I went. Excellent food, lush nature, green vegetation. Shops, restaurants, music, Spas. A charming city you'll be sad to leave. It maintains its authenticity, values, and traditions despite the tourism. It is remote location with not much accessibility to shopping, restaurants, and other activities. Recommended for people who prefer calm and quiet area and has vehicle for commutation. No spas available nearby, need to go to Ubud center.

We attended a wedding at a large resort near by. We were able to walk between the two along the beach or on a path, making it the perfect place to enjoy the wedding and be with friends and have our own quiet villa to enjoy!

It's a lovely area much quieter than Ubud but still lots of cafes etc. The Instagrammers taking selfies is a bit over the top...but they're everywhere. Great views of the rice terraces and beautiful waterfalls and temples in the area.

The beautiful areas of Sukawati require a car/driver. We went to the art market which was nice, but you could get this art anywhere in Bali for the same price. I hadn't been before and wouldn't stay here again, it's a bit 'commercial' and not tailored to tourists. The villas we stayed in were beautiful, quiet and off the main street, but there was nothing to do (other than get a driver).

Beautiful sea view, near to sanur, denpasar, and ubud, but beach has plastic and wooden trash. During rainy season, moths come out every where outside and inside villa. Kitchen is separate from the villa, overall, villa needs upgrade.

For Bali , if you need to be in a peaceful , nature...

For Bali , if you need to be in a peaceful , nature surrounded area, not too far from the airport, I think Ubud is a good place to settle. Other nature option can be more northern part of Bali but still Ubud can be sufficient. The sea area can be too many people and too hot to stay. Food is easy, if you are concern about Halal food, you can always grab for Halal food, in case you cannot find any. Fresh air, rice terraces, Balinese people are very friendly and courteous. Nature, vegatation, forest.. waterfalls and temples. My husband and I stayed at Aksari Ubud Resort & Spa … this place is my personal version of paradise. Staff were very cordial… they aim to please … the resort has great amenities and awesome infinity pools. The entire place has wifi, room has smart TV with Netflix, the resort is clean and very well maintained and smells like aromatherapy (spa) with “zen” music..,
