They offer so many great services like free afternoon snacks and a super convenient free shuttle service to the city centre. Location wise, it's super if you wanna stay in the of ubud. They even give you this cute bedtime story every night with interesting facts about local treasures. We truly feel like this hotel deserves a bigger shout out than just this review.

AustraliaOur fifth or sixth time staying here. Wouldn’t stay anywhere else in Ubud! Staff are super friendly and thoughtful, always offering to make your stay easier, deliver their free afternoon tea etc to your room.
Location is ideal - close to everything but still quiet and no roosters nearby. The 18-metre pool is perfect for laps. The free shuttle is so handy and being provided with a phone to call the hotel is next-level awesome. We just used WhatsApp to message the staff who always responded immediately.
The rooms have everything you need - a large bed, outdoor setting and outdoor daybed, plenty of wardrobe space, desk and chair, comfy chair to read or meditate on, love bathroom with amenities. Sapodilla somehow continues to improve when you think there’s nothing they can do better! It’s great value too.
We prefer to stay on the first floor (one level up) as it offers a bit more privacy, but some might prefer to be on the ground level for easier access to the pool and coming and going.

When you arrive, it doesn't look like the hotel would be so much in the greenery as it's quite central but it really is surrounded by jungle. Waking up to the sounds and colours of the forest was amazing. Great onset bath in the bathroom. The pool area was amazing, food was very good as well. Good coffee as a big bonus as well as the staff with a constant smile on :)

A fabulous property, very well maintained, which is truly impressive given the size of it. Their "Ubud escape" motto could not be more accurate, as it is a beautiful gem in the middle of the jungle, far from the busy town. I booked a Premier Pool Villa, but got upgraded to the Royal Villa. It was an absolute surprise! It's an extra spacious property with every facility you could wish for (they even have a mini kitchen in the pool area with a beverage stocked fridge) and if we hadn't booked any activities in advance, I think I would have spent 3 whole days by it's pool, just enjoying the greenery, the sound of the river nearby, the privacy & comfort that it offers.
I loved the entrance to the rooms, the wooden door with offerings is a nice touch as it really transmits that Balinese feeling.
Also, in short:
- food is really good, many options, large portions. We also joined their BBQ dinner one night, which was very nice.
- they offer shuttle services to and from Ubud town
- they provide a whatsapp number for communication & infos, which is very helpful
- SPA service is amazing, worth booking a massage
- staff is friendly and happy to help anytime. We arrived very late for our check-in and they were so considerate and prepared some sandwiches for us to enjoy. It meant the world!
I may be forced to come back again :)

The entire trip at The Kayon has been phenomenal, intricate and romantic. An absolute recommend to anyone considering staying at the resort.
1. The breakfast and dining options at in-house Kepitu restaurant was truly splendid and energizing. Options on the menu are diverse, covering both local and international cuisine. Food is scrumptious, beautifully cooked with local flavors and aroma bursting in your mouth
2. The resort is nicely situated on a hilly setting within the heart of Ubud and is half hour drive to the city center
3. Something that differentiates the resort from the rest is the unparalleled service and is top notch.
4. Rooms are spacious and sparkling clean with a large in-villa pool. Staff is very attentive to smallest of details and everything is engineered for pleasure and privacy of the guests

Bambu Indah is unique in many ways - the lush green environment, the really unique bambu structures and architecture, the sustainable approach to everything, the trained, experienced and kind staff, the super clean pools, the fact that you can drink the tap water, the food, the availability of the staff to accommodate any request basically...and many more :) The story of the owners is also very impressive, you can meet them as they live there. I would love to come back.

First of all, from the moment you enter the door, everyone is very friendly and polite. The rooms and everywhere in the hotel are very clean. More beautiful than what we see in the photos. Although you are in the forest, we never saw any insects and flies. The staff's attention and service is very high. We came for our honeymoon and were very pleased. Ubud is very close to the center, there are many cafes, restaurants and markets that continue walking.

I used ubud as my base and travelled to various attractions...
I used ubud as my base and travelled to various attractions and locations from this place I was able to visit a lot of places by hiring a car and driver for ia number of day using there local knowledge
I eat at local restaurants meeting the local people 8nst3ad of using the usual tourist set ups

Near to Ubud and yet completely out of the city hustle. Stay inside Lots of nature, rain forests and rice fields and see the local countryside with daily ceremonies around the temples and witness bali life.

We attended a wedding at a large resort near by. We were able to walk between the two along the beach or on a path, making it the perfect place to enjoy the wedding and be with friends and have our own quiet villa to enjoy!

It is remote location with not much accessibility to shopping, restaurants, and other activities. Recommended for people who prefer calm and quiet area and has vehicle for commutation. No spas available nearby, need to go to Ubud center.

The food at the restaurant was always very good and done as per request. The landscaping at the resort was exceptional and was a pleasure to move around the resort or just sit and admire. The spa treatment was also good

It's a lovely area much quieter than Ubud but still lots of cafes etc. The Instagrammers taking selfies is a bit over the top...but they're everywhere. Great views of the rice terraces and beautiful waterfalls and temples in the area.

The beautiful areas of Sukawati require a car/driver. We went to the art market which was nice, but you could get this art anywhere in Bali for the same price. I hadn't been before and wouldn't stay here again, it's a bit 'commercial' and not tailored to tourists. The villas we stayed in were beautiful, quiet and off the main street, but there was nothing to do (other than get a driver).

Beautiful sea view, near to sanur, denpasar, and ubud, but beach has plastic and wooden trash. During rainy season, moths come out every where outside and inside villa. Kitchen is separate from the villa, overall, villa needs upgrade.

I've visited ubud few years ago and it was a different...
I've visited ubud few years ago and it was a different experience. This time Ubud felt like a building site, the walk up to the rice fields was crowded with mopeds transporting building materials, overloaded with bricks, cement and 4 meter metal strips! they drive within inches of walkers on the path which took the joy of walking. Traffic was also very busy to get anywhere. I think we'll choose a different destination for future jungle and rice paddy experience

Fresh air, rice terraces, Balinese people are very friendly and courteous. Nature, vegatation, forest.. waterfalls and temples. My husband and I stayed at Aksari Ubud Resort & Spa … this place is my personal version of paradise. Staff were very cordial… they aim to please … the resort has great amenities and awesome infinity pools. The entire place has wifi, room has smart TV with Netflix, the resort is clean and very well maintained and smells like aromatherapy (spa) with “zen” music..,
