It over performs as a hostel more like a boutique hotel. I would say its a WORLD-CLASS hostel. Staff, Food, Rooms, all exceptional. Well Managed. Clean- Bravo on Housekeeping. View is stunning. Its THE PLACE TO BE on the Island. I had a fantastic stay - Blair. All BAD reviews seem very much a one-off and petty. Many thanks to Sam, Clare, Jorge, Pablo, Dani, Mitha, Charles, Nona, Thalia, Apry, Johannes and all the team who were fab.

It is amazing place! perfect food in restaurant, very romantic atmosphere in hotel. The most important is stuff. We stayed only two nights, but it was enough to start feel like living in big family. Stuff was waiting for us coming by boat on a hotel pier and waved us - I will never forget this! It was very sensitive and covered with feeling of security, friendship :)

We liked the fact that their part of the beach was clean without rubbish, corals were very close, you could snorkel there. The staff was really kind, always ready to help - thank you Mias, Linda, Monica. They arranged a snorkeling trip for us to Babi Island and it was amazing with the best captain! Food was also great.

The villas are very beautiful and comfortable. They have everything you could need and are spotlessly clean. The pool is wonderful. All the staff are lovely people, always smiling and ready to help with anything. Ricky in particular is doing an excellent job. He’s such a kind guy, always making sure everything is perfect and that we feel comfortable. He helped us with absolutely everything (scooter rental, tips on places to visit nearby, taxi to the airport, etc.). We’re very grateful to have met him. We extended our stay for two more days to enjoy everything the hotel has to offer :)

Le Pirate Island offered us an incredible experience, and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The island itself felt like a true paradise, with a serene atmosphere that made us feel like castaways on a deserted island. The staff was exceptionally friendly and accommodating, ensuring we felt right at home. The food options were diverse and delicious, catering to all tastes with chicken, fish, burgers, and vegetarian dishes. We loved the charming souvenir shop, which had beautiful T-shirts and other keepsakes, as well as the many board games available to keep us entertained while waiting for check-in or checkout. The activities were another highlight—movie night under the stars on the beach was magical, and the bonfire after a thunderstorm with singing, was unforgettable. Snorkeling was also a fantastic experience, with vibrant marine life like colorful fish, mantas, and baby sharks. We also enjoyed playing table tennis and soaking in the peaceful surroundings.

The resort is superb. The staff are super friendly and helpful in all aspects. The location of the room overlooking the ocean with personal loungers on the beach h in front is superb. The dive centre on site is professionally run with good equipment and dive masters. A night or two is not long enough I would suggest three plus nights to calm down and enjoy the resort facilities.

The location is walking distance to the beach. The views from the pool and the breakfast balconies were amazing. There are plenty of restaurants and warungs within walking distance to get cheap and amazing food. The bed was huge, the rooms and bathrooms were clean. The pool was lovely. I came for diving - going on a short Liveaboard for 3 days...

I came for diving - going on a short Liveaboard for 3 days and doing 3 days of shore diving. The place is on the cusp of turning towards the dark side of tourism ghetto that is overbearing, but at the moment it's worth visiting. I would have stayed for another day, but airlines serving the airport (Komodo International Airport) do what they want. My flight there was delayed 2 hours and my flight leaving to connect with an international flight was rescheduled less than 48 hours before departure. It meant i had to leave the day before because there was no way i'd make the connection. People working there told me my experience is a common one - giving much worse examples. For less experienced divers, be aware currents are common - some very strong.

We lived in Kupang from 1984 to 1991 and knew the place and the whole province. Kupang is for those who want to experience Indonesian life as it is lived by ordinary people. We used public transport the bemos and felt very safe. GRAB also works well in Kupang.

A very dirty, busy city.

A very dirty, busy city. Easy to be run over and huge holes in the sidewalks. Best not to stay here. There are no restaurants. To see the Spiderweb Rice fields it is best (if traveling by car) to just stop there on your way through (takes maybe 1/2 hour) and continue on

Great place worth viewing, I would recommend taking a picnic up there so you can spend more time there and have lunch they are plenty of different spots to wonder around l. The forest is beautiful which is something you don't really see when walking through in the dark for sunrise.

A very vibrant and busy town, as a white family we attracted a lot of attention, not always good. Uncomfortable walking around the town. We used taxis to move around the town. If I was traveling by myself I would have used public transportation, the bemos look fun!

This place is not geared for tourism . If your young and adventurest. Yes hire a bike and enjoy. The roads are in good condition and most attractions are 1 to 2 hours from town. People are friendly and helpful . English language is a problem here. Beautiful beaches and scenery. Go for it.

Nice, small, authentic village. Extremely friendly people. Good food, big portions. Scenery along the coast is mindblowing. Streets are in good condition or new, with few exceptions. Good for daytrips along the coast or traveling from town to town. Good connections to/from Bajawa by shared transport (100kIDR per person for one direction). Expect 150kIDR for long distance hops Labuan Bajo - Ruteng - Bajawa - Ende (3,5h each).

Highly HIGHLY recommend the 3D2N liveaboard to see multiple islands, pink beach, the Komodo dragons, Padar island with the beautiful hike for the view, and snorkeling throughout. We got to see baby sharks the last day and swim with them! It was amazing! Also highly recommend Cunca Wulang waterfall, Rangko cave, and the Mirror Stone cave. I do wish that I got to walk around the harbor and all the shopping around it but all the natural beauty was well worth the trip!

The friendly atmosphere, beautiful beach scenery, nice Lippo shopping mall in the town with Matahari dept. store, and many others, nice traditional food, and Kaki Lima has beautiful traditional restaurants facing the sea. The people who do not like hot weather might find it is too hot, but there is air conditioning in the car, hotels, and the mall, Only less than 2 hours, 1 hour 40 minutes from Denpasar Ngurah Rai Airport. Higly recommended to everyone who wants to really enjoy the Ruteng and surrounding area, Waerebo village included (you can get there by motorbike). Ino and his family are awesome people, willing to help you with everything you need or want. You really become the member of the family. I would definitely come back if I visit Flores again. Breakfasts are so delicious and different every day (Im vegan and they prepared special meal for me, but I felt like a queen), beds are so comfy, they have hot shower, you can chill out at the garden or in the shed where you can also cook by yourself. They will give you valuable information and recommendations on places you should visit.. and there is much more. In the end, we are speechless, this stay exceeded our expectations.
