Georgio was great at communication all the way through our stay. He acted as our guide to see Komodo Dragons and the surrounding Islands, which was an amazing experience. Georgio was very knowledgeable on the Dragons and his family was very hospitable. If you want an authentic experience then this is for you.

I appreciate adventurous journey and sometimes prefer to stay at accommodation closer to local life. Staying at Jeki's place gave me a glimpse of local life in fishing village, I also deeply enjoyed in his arrangement of itinerary with more flexibility and privacy compared with joining tours with many people.
The highlight of my experience would be the short hiking around the back of the village where we get to spot komodo dragons with beautiful views in the background. The other personal favorite moment would be during the trip sailing from Labuan Bajo port to the village throughout sunset; tropical climate with different shades of colors on the cloud became a piece of art that I'll not forget.
Once again many thanks to the hospitality of Jeki's family. I liked the food as well.
Meanwhile please be reminded that it's a homestay not a hotel. There's no air conditioning (the temperature during my stay around Apr was cool at night so all is fine) and only has shared bathroom, which could be inconvenient for some people. Make sure you have the understanding of condition and have the right expectation, hope you enjoy as much as I do.
Featuring mountain views, Jhuna Komodo Homestay is located in Komodo, around 1.8 km from Pink Beach. This homestay offers free private parking and a minimarket.

Nestled in Komodo village, my stay at this homestay hosted by Jeki was unforgettable. Jeki organized private tours tailored to my preferences, offering an authentic experience away from the tourist crowds (to see the Komodos, Mantas and for snorkeling). His expertise in Komodo dragon encounters, the ocean inhabitants and the region ensured memorable moments and stunning photographs. The homestay provided a simple (local standard) but cozy retreat with delicious local cuisine cooked by his wife. Seamless transfers and reliable internet access added to the convenience. For travelers seeking an immersive Komodo adventure, this homestay offers hospitality and local insight beyond compare. (Note: It's not a hotel; you stay with a local family.) Furthermore, I would like to point out that Jeki was super helpful via WhatsApp for transport arrangements & other questions and flexible in arranging the stay.
Thank you! And all the Best, you and your family will be remembered :-)

This place is all about the rare privilege of staying on Komodo Island and immersing yourself in local life within a small fishing village. The people are incredibly welcoming, and the children play freely—no screens in sight, just real connection and joy.
We ventured beyond the village to trek through the wilderness in search of Komodo dragons—and we weren’t disappointed. We even witnessed a pair mating, which was unforgettable.
Our accommodation arranged a private boat for us each day (we stayed four days), allowing us to snorkel, trek, visit turtles and manta rays, explore nearby islands, and experience all the region’s natural highlights at our own pace. Harri, who looked after us on the boat, was fantastic—having spent his whole life in the area, he knew exactly where to go for the best sights and encounters.
The food at our homestay was exceptional—fresh fish straight from the local boats every day. Accommodation is basic by Western standards, but comfortable enough—just make sure to bring insect repellent. Also, bring cash if you'd like to enjoy a beer—a large Bintang costs around 75k IDR—and don’t expect shops or amenities; this is a truly remote experience.
Jahiding and his wife went above and beyond to make us feel at home. This isn't about five-star luxury or being herded around on crowded tour boats. It’s about embracing a different pace and way of life, and truly experiencing what it’s like to live here. We absolutely loved it.

We had the most amazing stay at Menjaga Bay. The villas are gorgeous, honestly one of the best hotels I’ve stayed at. The pool and restaurant area is stunning, the walkway to the bar at the end of the pier is really cool and we had a delicious cocktail whilst watching the sunset. We loved our ocean room. Would 100% recommend if travelling to Labuan Bajo and would love to return one day!

Well appointed room with a nautical theme. The roof top restaurant and pool are fantastic and the food is excellent. The staff are very attentive and always welcome you with a smile. This is a great place to stay for a couple of nights if you are exploring the Komodo National park.

Fantastic location with a beautiful house reef. Everything is well organised. Although we loved the Indonesian food we also liked the great pizzas from their pizza oven.

Fairly expensive, not as developed, if you’re there for a boat tour, just get in and get out, not much to do there you can’t do in Bali or Lombok much cheaper. Can’t say enough about Sudamala Resort, reasonably priced if you book in advance and 5 star all the way.
