- From US$217.02 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 9.2Superb - What previous guests thought, 1,192 reviewsThe Muckross Hotel is a great place to stay in Killarney National Park. It is the perfect place for a relaxing getaway with spa access and beautiful nature around. The staff are all extremely welcoming, friendly, and always willing to help. The breakfast included is superb with a buffet and hot food you can choose to order. We also had dinner in the pub a few times and an afternoon tea in the Monk's Lounge. Both were great. The hotel also offers complimentary bikes you can reserve which is great to explore the park.Guest review byvalerie_spreeSpain
- Scored out of 10, guest rating 8.6Fabulous - What previous guests thought, 2,852 reviewsBreakfast and location were great. Breakfast was a buffet with yogurt parfait, eggs, potatoes, beans, mushrooms, tomatoes, delicious coffee, cereals, oatmeal, toast. Lots of gluten free options. There is a kids gym with activities, a fabulous pool, hot tub and sauna, two playgrounds, live music, huge grounds to run around, mini golf, and a spa with reiki treatments available and more. Also, a sensory Cubbie on site. We booked extra days so our daughter could partake in the fun amenities.Guest review bySheilaUnited States

A lovely area, friendly people.
A lovely area, friendly people. There is a lot to keep you entertained and plenty of sights and things to do. The pubs are also brilliant, some having great music for you to dance to. I will definitely be back. The horse and trap are a must do, great way to see Killarney. The town is within walking range from Earls Court House. It is an easy town to get around and a good array of places close by to sight see. You must walk the park, so relaxing and you feel as if you are out in the country and not a town. Wonderful place.Guest review byPaisis - 10

One of the most magnificent & dramatic landscapes in the world. I loved hiking in the area. The beaches are world class (you need a wetsuit to swim) & on sunny days, the greens of fields and pasture are positively vibrant. I did fine w/o a car - Ireland has a great network of local buses. Furthermore, the Irish are remarkably hospitable and kind.Guest review byCristina - 10

I’ve hardly missed a yearly trip to Tralee in over 40 years I’ve been to every attraction in Tralee and surrounding areas nowadays I take a more leisurely approach a few pints meet up with longtime mates and generally have a good time! Usually visit Sean ogs, corner bar, mall bar, greyhound bar ,the huddle bar etc!and for the best and freshest fish on the planet quinnauls near the square!Guest review byAnonymousUnited Kingdom - 10

Kenmare is an absolutely charming town on the southern side of the Kerry Peninsula. Great dining, wonderful places to stay, such fun to walk all over the town and the perfect launching point for our tour around the Ring of Kerry. We stayed in a wonderful 'townhouse hotel' (bed and breakfast over a beloved pub) right in the heart of the town and loved it. Killarney seems to be the most popular launching point for exploring the Ring of Kerry but we opted for smaller, more local and charming in Kenmare. Absolutely the right choice for our family of four.Guest review byJuliaUnited States - 10
Lots to do and see!
Lots to do and see! If thing I would suggest if it's raining or cloudy at all don't go to sea!! We went to the Skelligs. €295 for 5 of us, couldn't see much! Disappointing to say the least! The Skellig Museum on Valentia island across the bridge was surprisingly very good. It looks funny outside & we didn't rate it much! The back of it is what you see first! The take away on the pier was disappointing. Fish & chips wasn't what you'd think it would be beside the sea. The food in both local pubs fabulous. Best to book the Moorings for evening meals. It's very busy. Kerry cliffs well worth seeing also.Guest review bylindaIreland - 10

Sneem is a lovely little town. Just the right size for a wander. Everyone we met was very friendly and the Book Shop was amazing. We also bought some cards in a Craft shop that had a spinning wheel outside. Such friendly ladies in both shopsGuest review byJoyIreland - 10

It's just 20 mins away from Kilarney National Park - which we visited last (just the Waterfall) Perfect if you plan on visiting Ring of Kerry and wish to take a lap around it - we have managed to see all the highlights (northern-side, i.e. Cahersiveen, Valentia, ending on the Cliffs of Kerry, then driving through the south absolutely gobsmacked with the views) If you want to visit Ring Of Kerry we recommend 2 days there as we wish we spent more and explore South side - definitely visit Valentia and Cahersiveen (coffee at Lazy Cat with view at the cathedral and shopping in the near gift shop) The views or Ring of Kerry are spectacular - Canary Islands, Canada, Zakopane, Peru (one word: Ireland), all mixed up! BIG LOVE!Guest review byKonradUnited Kingdom - 10

We went primarily to tour the area including Ballybunion. Also for the Lartigue Monorail and museum in Listowel. A gem, and an important piece of transport heritage that is still relatively unknown in the UK. Great visit. The town is lively with good music in the pubs (especially Christy's). Lovely place!Guest review byIanUnited Kingdom
