The attention to detail was truly appreciated. Check in was seamless and we were made to feel very welcome in the room - special mention needs to be made of the welcome card. Such a thoughtful touch. The location was excellent for our needs and the bar/tv lounge was a treat for before and after dinner drinks. This property is truly worth recommending!

The Muckross Hotel is a great place to stay in Killarney National Park. It is the perfect place for a relaxing getaway with spa access and beautiful nature around. The staff are all extremely welcoming, friendly, and always willing to help. The breakfast included is superb with a buffet and hot food you can choose to order. We also had dinner in the pub a few times and an afternoon tea in the Monk's Lounge. Both were great. The hotel also offers complimentary bikes you can reserve which is great to explore the park.

You have to check out the Latin district and market square. We ate at dough bros and our pizza was delicious! If you have kids(or are just fun and whimsical yourself) they have some carnival rides in the square. We rode the ferris wheel and the merry go round and it was a lot of fun.

I am not a fan of large cities as a rule, but Cork is the exception. It is a lovely city with lots to see. The food scene is fantastic. I got to treat myself to beignets and a pumpkin pie at Bayou (on MacCurtain Street in the Victorian Quarter). The English Market is a must-see and my favourite place for Hederman's smoked butter. Although everyone talks about Blarney Castle for its stone, I recommend exploring the surrounding castle grounds. The Poison Garden, carnivorous courtyard, wishing steps, witches' kitchen, druids' cave, fairy glade, dolmen, and sacrificial altar have something for everyone to marvel at. If relaxing is your goal, consider checking out Zero Gravity Float (Edenhall, Model Farm Rd.) near Munster Technological University.

Killarney is a beautiful place , surrounded by water and forests. Lots of history to explore. The Tourist information office is full of ideas and leaflets as to what to do and see. Both the bus station and the train station are nearby , allowing you to see further afield if wanted. There are lots of places to eat and the quality of food is excellent. The Hop on Hop of bus takes you to many of the sights but there is a far amount of walking to do! Taxi s are easily found and the prices are very reasonable. Don't forget to check out the Killarney Duck shop- an experience all on its own!

We were just passing through Limerick, but I noted a few key points: in the evening it is difficult to have dinner after 9 PM, so you have to settle for fast food. Also, it seemed to me that Limerick is less beautiful than other Irish cities, even though it is located on the River Shannon.

One of my favourite Irish cities - Sligo has it all.

One of my favourite Irish cities - Sligo has it all. Great shops and event spaces including a great theatre and a sizeable event arena. The pubs are brilliant and offer entertainment year round. The city centre is very walkable and everything you need is close by. The restaurants on offer are among the best in Ireland including top spots like Eala Bhán and Hooked, locally owned and sourcing local high quality produce.

A very clean, and well kept town.

A very clean, and well kept town. Great selection of shops, restaurants and bars. People in the shops, restaurants and bars were very welcoming and friendly. Westport is a lovely town to walk around. We enjoyed our 3 days, walking, shopping, eating out as well as the entertainment/music in the bars too! Westport is a great place to visit, we also took a drive down to the harbour annd did had a walkabout in the harbour area, and we went to Achill Island too! Another lovely place with beautiful scenery and beaches.

Dingle is a beautiful place. There was much to see in the surrounding areas and it is close enough to enjoy a bit of sightseeing, yet far enough to enjoy a slower more relaxed atmosphere after a busy day. I would love to see the area in the spring.
