Thank you for the wonderful stay. The staff and manager where always very helpful and friendly and organised for me safaris in Kaziranga aswell as airport transfer. The food in the hotel was outstanding and the rooms very lovely. When you go to Kaziranga, you should go here.

. It was a sudden plan to extend and I found this place at an affordable price. Awesome place and wasn't disappointed at all. My friend called the reception to inform them of the late arrival. It's important to do so as this place is in a residential area. Everyone was kind, extremely helpful. They had a pet cat Minu, and she stole my heart. Place is worth every dime. The fact that they made veg cutlets heart shaped, made me smile. Thank you.

Very centrally located and also the staff were very prompt and courteous. The breakfast spread was limited but all the items were hygienic and very tasty. Probably the food menu in the bar can be improved by incorporating local Assamese and other NE delicacies.

All the online portals are misguiding about properties, just hyping about the place with photoshopped pictures. The city has worst hospitality tradition, totally unprofessionalism and lack of transparency regarding services. Prices are illogical.

I had a great experience staying at Backpackers Hostello. The rooms and dorms were very cozy and comfortable, and the bathroom was extremely neat and clean. The hosts, Ajit and Ritu, were very helpful—it didn’t feel like I was away from home at all.

This was a very comfortable hotel with friendly staff. A bit isolated but ready access to central gate entrance to park. Dining space needs to be revamped in line with rest of accommodation. However,provides a great stopover to visit Kaziranga NP and view the one horned rhinos up close

Love city.

Love city. Tea gardens, city vibes in cafes around the city, Nimati ghar - sitting by the Brahmaputra and enjoying the view, Golf resort, Sukafa kshetra and Gibbon Sanctuary were some of the most loved places in Jorhat city.

The value for money and the strategic location to the...

The value for money and the strategic location to the airport were the only perks I can think of. The receptionist who checked us in was very curt, quickly went through the process like we were somehow bothering him(?) even though we checked in at the check-in window I specified when I booked the room. He did not thoroughly brief us on details like when we needed to check out, what the WiFi password is, etc. He did not smile, did not even look up once. And that was all AFTER we waited for him to finish his food. I have never experienced such hostility with the staff at any other hotel or homestay I've stayed in. On top of this, my booking says that "Breakfast is included" but the staff still charged us Rs. 225 for a cold and salty breakfast. I showed them my booking but they continued to argue based what's in their system. I don't know if this is an issue on the Booking.com end but it was extremely disappointing. It's not about the price but rather the failure to set expectations.

Sivasagar is a historical town.

Sivasagar is a historical town. It was the capital of Ahom kingdom. From White House you can visit Panidihing Bird century, Pohugarh Migratory bird accumulation area. Ahom kongdom's buildings like Ranghor, Kareng ghar, Talatal ghar, Famous Shivdol, Sivasagar, Joysagar, Rudrasagar man made large lake size pond. Dekhowmukh, Disangmukh, Haraguri Sapori, all natural picnic spots besides river Dikhow and Disang. Can use White Paper Home stay as transit camp once visit upper Assamand Arunachal via Bogibeel and Dhala Sadiya Bridge on mighty Brahmaputra.

After reaching Silchar, I was shocked to see the pathetic urban infrastructure of the town which was further deteriorated due to muddy streets, open drains, broken and potholed roads, flooded roads with drain water. Overall, anything that turns living in a town into hell. Silchar is the dirtiest town of Northeast and the third dirtiest town of India as per an old article of 2019, link shared below. I had my own car to go around Majuli so I had a fantastic...

I had my own car to go around Majuli so I had a fantastic time feeling relaxed throughout. I went in mid April which I learnt is an off season for tourism. I enjoyed the freeness around the island, i got to see for myself why Majuli is called the largest river island. I had a great time going around the many peace inducing spots in the island. Great place to learn culture, spot beautiful birds, admire the mighty Brahmaputra, admire beautiful mother nature and relax just about anywhere.

I visited Kamakya temple - Special darshan is available...

I visited Kamakya temple - Special darshan is available after 1 pm. If you go in the morning, you may have to follow the general queue, taking upto 3 hours. Going and coming back, both autos and taxis are available. Then I visited Umakanta Temple. Please use govt boat service since they are very prompt. I used a private one, which delayed the trip till the boat became full.

You have so much to explore here in ass. Very beautiful lush green surroundings in the lap of mother Nature. Lovely helpful people here in assam. Property is being renovated, shortly you would be finding all the things in line.
