Enchanting place, immersed in a spectacular nature. The atmosphere is muffled, relaxing and welcoming. The structure is very beautiful, with some small details that could still be improved. Our suite (AAMBAL) very beautiful, with a small pool, lake view, immersed in absolute peace. All the staff deserves a special mention, for the attention, courtesy and professionalism. For some a special mention: all the reception staff, attentive to our needs and guardian of our forgetfulness! Athul, responsible for the SPA services, with the two professionals, Shilba and Binu who for days took care of our needs. At the restaurant, where all the waiters deserve applause for efficiency and commitment but a special appreciation goes to the kitchen brigade and its Executive Chef Arun Surendran. We are two frequent travellers, with considerable experience of India and its special cuisine even if very spicy for Western tastes. For four days we had the privilege of tasting traditional Indian and Kerala dishes (Allapey vegetable curry, Kadai Murg, Paneer do pyaza, Vendakka pepper fry, Spiced papad, Malabari Paratha), excellently prepared, with a formidable balance and taste, even for Italian palates, which is no small thing! Really compliments.

Just the right location for a restful break with family and friends. Lots to do on site, plus the backwaters houseboat trip was fantastic! The hotel also organises a sunset cruise every evening for all the guests. The food was excellent, and all the staff extremely polite and helpful. I would definitely like to return again.

The hospitality of the front desk employees was great
The pool was amazing.
The open shower provided a unique experience.
The view (backwaters and pool especially) was breath taking. I guess this was especially because we visited during the onset of monsoon.

We had a great time at coconut lagoon which is a lovely resort.
Everything was nice, the property is beautiful. Everything is clean and maintained well, all the staff were very lovely.
Food was great and the Yoga & meditation lessons were perfect.

Location and layout of the hotel, Looks great from photos, but quite Run down property and staff need more training on the hospitality side. Gym machine are all written and rusted, dont even bother going there. Swimming pool in a poor condition.

Is a very nice, comfortable place and the people who works there is always nice and caring. The bedroom was clean and it had everything you can need. Food was good and no pricey. Head chef was excepcional, very caring.

A wonderful experience with culture, authentic traditional food, terrific boating experience and getting a special perspective with a view of the area with an exploratory boat ride. All courtesy of an excellent host at the Coconuts Palm Village Home stay.

Didn't see much of the main part of Vaikom but did walks...
Didn't see much of the main part of Vaikom but did walks around the homestay. Visited a Temple and was lucky enough to see a ceremony which involved drumming, dancing, elaborate make-up and fire. There is a Ghandi memorial park to see which is very interesting.

Kumarakom is a beautiful village famous for its serene backwaters, lakes filled with lotus, small roads and above all, its warm and welcoming people. Found it easy to engage in delightful conversations, experiencing genuine local hospitality and culture firsthand.
However, if you are unaccustomed to village life, a few precautions will enhance your experience. Always carry mosquito repellent, especially during evenings near the water bodies, Don't drink Toddy and Spicy foods
