This is a MUST stay place if you have a car and you are planning to stay near Selfoss and Thingvellir Park! Place is totally lovely, as the staff there is! Special kudos to Agatha and Ásta! We had a need to change the room and it was sorted out fast and with complimentary attention - thank you!! Oh! The location was perfect for exploring the area and for walking out to get dinner in the evening. The staff (reception, breakfast, and cleaning personnel were) friendly and helpful. They gave thoughtful advice. On our last evening the receptionist made sure we knew about the ‘end of Christmas’ Santa Claus procession, which was a great way to end our visit. The breakfast was very nice with many options. We met in the breakfast area in the evening to play games as a family, and in addition to free coffee, cocoa and tea there, we could buy drinks and crisps from reception. Three of us booked time at the spa and it was very relaxing. Our decision to stay at this hotel was very last minute because road conditions made our original cabin difficult to access. We were all very pleased with the hotel!

Quiet place not far away from a main road. We had a room in a smaller cottage, only two rooms in that building. Two external hot tubes were available for guests during evening, it was nice to relax there after a day of walking.
