The La Gemma hotel is wonderfull place to stay in Florence. We highly recommend this place for couples. Lovely designed, boutique hotel in the center of Florence. Personel at the hotel is amazing, hihgly professional and kind. We felt very welcomed. We were celebrating special occasions there and the La Gemma team made these days very special. We received very good restaurant reccomendation, one of this (Luca's) being at the hotel. We highly reccommend to visit Luca;s restaurant and try their testing menu :). We will definitely come back!

The room was super comfortable and modern. It was clean. And they put everything you could need there. Also they host you with tea and coffee that you could make in your room and also water in fridge. Also the staff were very nice . They kindly delivered my luggage before check-in time and one of them called Marlys was super gentle and explained me everything about what I could see during my visit in Florence and restaurants bars and tours.

Our stay at Borgo I Vicelli was a delightful and memorable experience, blending Tuscan charm, exceptional service, and a tranquil rural setting just minutes away from Florence. We were a party of two traveling in Tuscany and had the pleasure of staying at Borgo I Vicelli. The cleanliness of the hotel was excellent, which made our stay even more enjoyable. The service was of an extraordinarily high standard. The staff was extremely attentive, guest-oriented, and exceptionally friendly. Especially during breakfast, the warm conversations led to a wonderful start to the day. The hotel's amenities were upscale and beautifully reflected the Tuscan charm. It created an inviting atmosphere that made our stay particularly special. Although the hotel was located a bit outside, the accessibility by car was excellent. We reached the city center of Florence in just 20 minutes, making the location perfect. The value for money was very good. Given the outstanding offer, the price was more than justified. The overall experience at Borgo I Vicelli was characterized by the best attentive service. The staff was always guest-oriented, extremely polite, and accommodating. We felt incredibly comfortable, and the ladies at the reception as well as the colleague during breakfast made the stay something truly exceptional. We can wholeheartedly recommend Borgo I Vicelli and are already looking forward to our next visit!

I never imagined I would get the chance to stay at such a wonderful hotel in this world. This place is truly worth visiting. I absolutely loved the countryside charm of the town, and the hotel itself was beautifully decorated and surrounded by a wide variety of plants and flowers. The outdoor pool overlooked vineyards and offered a stunning Tuscan wine-country atmosphere. The food was varied and quite delicious. I was especially impressed that the staff upgraded my room for free — it meant so much to me. Every staff member treated me like family, offering heartfelt assistance throughout my stay. One of the highlights was joining the cooking class, which allowed me to deeply connect with Italian culture. The chef was so kind and helpful, and both the male and female staff were incredibly supportive in every way. I truly loved this experience — so much that it brought tears to my eyes. If I ever have the chance, I would absolutely love to return.

What's not to like?! everything was perfect! The location is looking out into the hills surrounded by greenary it almost looks like a painting its so surreal. The room was very large and decorated beautifully. While we didn't get to use the pool or spa as we only stayed one night we did peak in and have a look and it was amazing. We did try to stay a second night to take full advantage but understanably they were fully booked. The food is definitely the star of the show though hard to believe when everything else was so good but the meal we had was devine! One of the best meals I have ever had accompanied with one of the best bottles of wine. A special mention also to the staff who were very friendly during our short stay. We willl 100% be back for a longer break to take full advantage of everything.

Great city for walking around in with so many places to explore. Autumn was a good time to go to avoid the heat and too many crowds. South of the river was a great place to stay - easy access to the centre but not as touristy, more local. Highly recommend the Rennaissance: Medici tales tour as a starting point for your trip. A day trip to Siena is worth it if you have time. Overall, wonderful food and great coffee, friendly people.

The place I stayed was great, the owner was so sweet that she was willing to give me a ride to the train station by my departure. The breakfasts that she made was very delicious and at the time I needed (for Tuscany tour i needed to leave at 6:30am instead of regular breakfast at 7:30am) she prepared it for me. Only some minus I would give to a distance from the train station to the property. But from other hand it was a good exercise:)

San Casciano is remote in the beautiful Tuscan Hills, although just 40 minutes slow drive to Florence The hotel is 7 minutes outside the town, so walking is difficult. Need a car to go anywhere. Taxis are not available. This hotel is pretty good, but the much-acclaimed restaurant is, at best, just above average and pricey. Claims to be "special" but isn't! Terrace dining is romantic but watch the wasps in the daytime and mosquitos in the evening. Swmming pool fairly small and crowded. Grounds are pristine and lots of lovely bougainvillea. Reception staff smile a lot. Huge carpark!

Fiesole has many sites to explore with its fantastic amphitheatre, monastery and cathedral. It has some excellent restaurants and local shops. The main tourist attractions can be very crowded with long queues so it is well worth buying "skip the queue" tickets particularly for the Uffizi - where there's so much to see that it's worth spending at least 4 hours with a mid-visit break in the restaurant to re-energise. The general standard of restaurants is good and it's worth making bookings at your favourites during busy periods. To escape the crowds and find the best views we like to cross the Arno and climb via Piazza Michelangelo to San Miniata - quite a climb but well worth it. We usually walk back to the centre via the inner ring road and Boboli Gardens and/or Pitti Palace.
