We’ve never felt the need to leave a review on Booking.com until now. This property truly exceeded our expectations and deserves an exceptional mention. From the moment we arrived, the hospitality was outstanding. The owner was incredibly kind and accommodating, making sure every request was handled promptly and without any hassle. The owner’s mother, who welcomed us on arrival, was especially warm and generous, she took the time to show us around, made us feel completely at home and even went out of her way to agree to store our luggage after checking out. The location couldn’t be better, right in the heart of Favignana, tucked away in a charming little piazzetta just steps away from restaurants, cafes, and shops. Despite its central position, the area is peaceful and felt very safe, even late at night when we rented a bike to roam around the island. The house itself is spacious and beautifully maintained, spread over three floors, which gave us plenty of room to relax. Everything inside felt brand new. The bed was very comfortable, and we appreciated having air conditioning on every level. All in all, we highly recommend!

Apartman is huge. One bedroom with double room and living room/kitchen with sofa. Kitchen with all needed kitchen stuff as plates, cutlery, cup, pots, cheese grater (of course 🤭), freezer and fridge. Bathroom with toilet, bidet and shower - bit small to assist kids with shower 😬 functional air-condition and total dark in the room if you close windows and shades. We rent bikes, as the apartment help us to manage. They brough them into apartment and take them from there two - also available with kids seats. Apparently, nobody thinks of helmets, so be aware and psychically prepared 😂. Anyway, the apartment was great and big enough to store our stroller inside too. We got our apartment at the ground floor, so no stairs to worry about. Everything is close enough, yet no noise from busy streets. ❤️

The location is fantastic, right on the ocean front. The breakfast room looks out over to sea from a tower. The rooms were very pleasant with comfy beds and clean bathrooms. We had such a wonderful time in Favignana cycling around (from a place next door). Its a 5 minute walk into the Old Town and 10 minutes to the port to catch the ferry,

The view was amazing! And the apartment very comfortable, clean and spacious. Central. Wifi worked very well, enough for some remote working. Comfortable bed. Tony was super nice and helpful with answering questions or making some suggestions. Easy communication with the staff prior to arrival. Very happy with my stay.

The best part of our trip to Sicily was staying in Favignana...

The best part of our trip to Sicily was staying in Favignana for a couple of nights. I would say that 3 nights would have been perfect. I highly recommend renting your own boat and renting bikes to explore the island as much as possible.

Loved Marettimo.

Loved Marettimo. It is a small charming fishing village that is friendly, relaxed and slow pace. White washed houses with blue shutters. Great walk up to the old church and Roman house - fascinating. Caffe Tranontana on the waterfront is stunning for sunset drinks and a snax or gelato. Then Al Carrubo restaurant for delicious dinner - need to book. We stayed 5 nights and could stay longer.

Levanzo is incredible to spend a few days - away from real life. Tranquil and beautiful, we got up with the sun to swim. There are a couple of restaurants - we ate in Romano which was very good - it is also a bar upstairs (where you can get coffee, pastries and gelato during the day) and below is the restaurant with views of the sea. You walk everywhere so take a hat - it's hot even in June.

I thoroughly enjoyed my time at this place.

I thoroughly enjoyed my time at this place. It was a very friendly environment, and unlike the main island, there was no trash littering the area. It was great to see that the main mode of transportation there was by bicycles. The food was also great, but it was a bit overpriced.

I could have easily spent more time on/in Marettimo.

I could have easily spent more time on/in Marettimo. The town is small, and you don't come there for "sites" but rather for the atmosphere, the relaxation of a fishing village, and the walks around the island. The walk up to Casa Romana (and a lovely little Byzantine church) is - somewhat oddly - paved with paving stones the whole way, a grand walk up the mountainside behind the village. We also walked around the island past the lighthouse, with a nice small pebbly beach for swimming along the way. You truly feel that you are "away", no matter where you came from!

We loved the island.

We loved the island. Totally de-stressing, only long walks and enjoying the views, read a book. Be prepared for no frill rocky beaches a walk out of town, not a kid’s place for swimming. Very easygoing and very small town/village with Serious Siesta time!! Cafe opened for cake ice cream and coffee/drinks. If early morning theres pizza slices etc. Restaurant expensive!! mainly seafood but great seafood. Limited opening times. One panini place open 8.30- 1.30pm. Food-shop is limited choice if self catering fresh deliveries on Wednesdays (and maybe another day). Very well connected to the other islands and main land.

You can rent bikes, electric ones if it's too hot. They are available at several locations. The prices are reasonable and you can travel the entire island. The water is clean and it is worth stopping here for a day.

Marettimo is a fantastic island for peace, tranquillity,...

Marettimo is a fantastic island for peace, tranquillity, good swimming and hiking. If you're looking for nightlife, lots of bars and crowds then probably best to head to a livelier place. The best walk we did was out to Punta Troia and the castle there. The bay just below the castle (scala maestro) is just divine and we could have easily spent all day there, however we hadn't brought our lunch so eventually had to head back! Don't make our same mistake! It's a good hour and 15 min walk from the centre to the top of the castle and the last part is a little tricky, however it's manageable and the views are absolutely breathtaking. The best meal we had was at the restaurant al Carrubo (at the top of the hill leading up from bar Tramontana). This lovely place is nestled in among the trees yet has wonderful sea views and the food is just as lovely as the scenery. We had mussels, pistachio-crusted tuna, lobster soup, to name just a few (we went back 3 nights in a row!) Very friendly service and a really good, family-run atmosphere. I have travelled a lot in Sicily and I would say this is some of the best Sicilian food I've had in a very long time. Not to be missed!
