We loved our stay at Hotel Gasperin. The location is great, staff are very friendly and helpful, we had the fastest check-in and check-out of our lives. The rooms were very nice and clean. We stayed in a Family Studio with Balcony with our dog. Everything was excellent and we would definitely stay again. Check-in: hours are limited so make sure to arrive between those hours. The staff are very friendly and provided us with great information on nearby walks and hikes suitable for winter. The staff were also responsive to our messages via booking.com in advance of our trip. Apartment: The apartment was extremely clean and the bed was really comfy. The bathroom was nice with a huge sink and powerful shower. The kitchen had all the equipment we needed; we had read some reviews and were not sure what would be there when we arrived, some said they didn't even have a kettle. But we had everything we needed - actually even more than we needed :) - pots, pans, roasting dishes, kettle, coffee maker, even things like a cheese grater and kitchen scissors, and all of it was extremely clean. Location: lovely mountain views, a short downhill walk in to town, plenty of grass around (important when travelling with a dog :)). The town of Bovec is lovely. Apparently extremely busy in the summer. Small supermarket in town or a short drive to something bigger. We were there in the off-season (between Christmas and New Year) and really enjoyed the peace and quiet. Great walks/hikes directly from the apartment or a short drive. All walks in the area are very well sign posted. Beautiful sightseeing (e.g. Slap Virje, Velika Korita). Parking: plenty of parking and free right outside the apartment.

Everything. I almost never give a perfect score, because I always find something not perfect... not here. I think it's the first time. But my experience was just perfect. I don't know how to begin. 1 the hosts : are so kind and sweet. With REALLY good advices, for walk or for dinner. 2 the facilities : are many and qualitatives. The room with all games is family. The breakfast is fresh and excellent, with local products. They have a big spa, with a sauna and everything you need to be comfy, intimate. The cellar... let's talk about the cellar... they have local products on self service... and not just a little or bad quality...they have A LOT of amazing products. 3 The room is beautiful, with a incredible view. The comfort inside is very complete, with comfy bed, comfy chair, comfy cape, an ingenious table..etc..

It's the first stop of our month-long holiday in Slovenia. And first the best, we enjoyed this excellent hotel! Everyone working here is extremely kind, helpful and professional: they have deep knowledge about the region and the country: tourist attractions, food and wine ect. We have an upgraded room which is spacy and very comfortable, yet quiet at an exclusive location. The small and boutique hotel own as well a Michelin restaurant, while their passion at quality food is also shared on breakfast table. The nearby town of Radovljica offers interesting tourist attractions and outstanding restaurants, while very close to Bled but away from the noisy and busy tourists. All in all, thank Vila Podvin for your excellent service!

The rooms were clean and cosy, and we enjoyed spending time in the lobby / reading room downstairs. On New Year’s Eve there was live music and dancing until late. It was great! The staff were helpful, the restaurant was lovely and spacious and the food was excellent. Huge bonus points for being a zero waste hotel. We’d like to come back.

I live in a flat part of my country so hills and mountains are a shock to my system, I think this is the most beautiful place I've ever been to, all the locals are so friendly and helpful. There's much more to do than I imaginged, so will definitely be back again.

Wonderful place in December when we visited.

Wonderful place in December when we visited. Walking around Lake Jasna was enjoyable, especially with the fire near the restaurant and Christmas decorations, The town is beautiful and was very active on a Sunday afternoon. We enjoyed Pizza in the old part of town at a local restaurant.

We stayed in Bled for a couple of days before moving to Lake...

We stayed in Bled for a couple of days before moving to Lake Bohinj, on reflection, we preferred Lake Bohinj to Bled, it was less busy, quieter, and if we wanted was in each reach of Bled for a visit. If we went back again we would stay in Bohinj as a base and move around from there.

Tarvisio is a hidden gem, where you can ski, hike and have a great time with family and friends. Everyone is friendly and inviting. We went specifically to see the Krampus Parade and for a day of skiing and exploring of the town and region. The trip didn't disappoint. We would love to come back for New Years but availability of accommodation prevents us from doing so. BUT we will be back for next year's Krampus.

Lesce is a local residential village so nothing special is really happening there. It is quite small and very quiet with supermarkets in the vicinities. The best thing about Lesce is it central location to all the major areas around Lake Bled.

The small village of Mojstrana is at the beginning of the climbing area for Triglav, and the place is amazing—calm and beautiful. Houses and backyards are so clean, and the stream in the center of village is so cute. If you like bike tour there is bike road toward Kranjska Gora.

If you're looking for peace and quiet, this is the perfect place. If you enjoy walking, it's also ideal. It takes about half an hour to reach Lake Bled and around 40 minutes to get to the Vintgar Gorge. All around are beautiful Slovenian villages.

The tourist resort of Kranjska Gora is located 6 km to the east, and the Slovenian Alpine Museum in Mojstrana 20 km to the east. Very scenic Fusina lakes are 8 km to the west. The interesting little town of Tarvisio is also nearby in Italy. The area offers nice hiking and cycling possibilities, exploring the 19th and early 20th century military fortresses, and also exploring the interesting small baroque churches. Walks in the surroundings of Rateče are fantastically tranquil and relaxing. The area also offers some nice restaurants with traditional food, as well as very tasteful cheeses! Planica Nordic Centre is located 3 km to the south from Rateče. The Alpe Adria Cycling Path runs along the abandoned but very scenic old railway Tarvisio - Jesenice!

Bled is wonderful, and the walkway around the lake is great.

Bled is wonderful, and the walkway around the lake is great. In December, there are also food and drink stalls available, as well as evening concerts. The food offer is excellent and diverse. I recommend it.
