This hotel is located within walking distance from the Termini train station. It's on a relatively quiet street and near many places to eat, including one right next door to the hotel which had authentic food and frequented by locals not just tourists. The beds were comfy and breakfast exceeded our expectations. Staff was very helpful and friendly. We had a balcony room overlooking the street which was fun.

The hotel garden was incredible and the whole setting picture perfect! A generous breakfast was provided on a lovely piazzetta under the trees, the menu and wine list at the restaurant were very good, the bars and the pool/sea area were all generously setup. The golf cart provided was most useful given how the hotel is set on the side of the mountain and climbing between levels can be quite taxing. Most importantly, the entire staff but especially the golf cart driver and the restaurant staff, were extremely helpful and courteous.

Family friendly, clean, walk down to the sea or enjoy the excellent waterpark , great way to wind down with the kids post sightseeing through Rome, Florence and Tuscany. Under 1 hour drive to Fiumicino. Friendly staff, full of Italian families enjoying a holiday, between pool, sea, beach and big play park kids had a blast. Restaurant and snack bars and store on site. Plenty of little restaurants in town up the street. Cabins are clean and great for a short stay.

This lovely hotel has up to date facilities but still maintains a traditional feel. It has many interesting and thoughtful touches such as the shell display and the gardens are beautiful. We loved the beach area right in front of the hotel and the location is perfect right next to the old hill town and plenty of restaurants. A comprehensive choice at breakfast enhanced the overall appeal. The staff were all very friendly and helpful and we hope to return.

Rome is breathtaking but can be overwhelming — plan ahead,...

Rome is breathtaking but can be overwhelming — plan ahead, book major attractions in advance, watch out for tourist traps, and embrace the city’s vibrant chaos for a truly rewarding experience 🏛️ A Traveller’s Review of Rome ✨ The Highlights • Iconic Landmarks: The Colosseum, Roman Forum, and Vatican City are awe‑inspiring. St. Peter’s Basilica and the Sistine Chapel are must‑sees. • Atmosphere: Rome is a mix of ancient grandeur and modern bustle. Cobblestone streets, piazzas, and fountains make every walk memorable. • Food: From espresso bars to trattorias, Roman cuisine is a delight. Don’t miss carbonara, supplì (fried rice balls), and gelato. 💡 Insider Tips • Book Early: Major attractions now require advance reservations romehacks.com. • Coffee Culture: Order and drink your espresso at the bar like locals — sitting often costs extra Time Out. • Free Water: Rome’s “nasoni” fountains provide clean drinking water, so carry a reusable bottle Time Out. • Timing: Early mornings or late evenings are best for enjoying landmarks without heavy crowds. ✅ Overall Impression Rome is chaotic yet magical. The Eternal City rewards those who embrace its quirks — from the grandeur of the Vatican to the charm of hidden trattorias. Rome is best enjoyed with curiosity, and a willingness to wander off the beaten path. If you balance iconic sights with local experiences, your trip will be unforgettable.

Just 15 mins from the airport,I'd say worth a longer visit. Lovely Italian ambiance and good restaurants along the promenade. A train into romevtakes about 45 mins soo I'd stay here as a Base and enjoy the travel experience. Local Italian life much more interesting than the typical tourist zone.

Ostia could have nice promenade by the sea, but there are walls, some abandoned restaurants and beach facilities and a lot of trash. You can walk by the sea only on a small part of coast near marina. It is good place to stay if you want to go to Rome becouse it is on metro line and also the airport is near

During my visit to Gaeta, I was truly impressed by several places in this charming coastal town. I especially loved walking along the seaside promenade and the beautiful avenue of plane trees—it was very relaxing and scenic. The old town with its colorful streets and historic buildings was also a highlight. For a quick bite or a casual meal, there are plenty of great options. I particularly enjoyed the local cafés and restaurants where you can try fresh seafood and traditional Italian dishes. There are also small grocery stores nearby if you prefer to grab something on the go. Getting around Gaeta is quite easy. The town is compact, so most places can be reached on foot, and it’s very pleasant to explore the streets at a leisurely pace. For families with young children, I would highly recommend visiting the beaches, which are clean and safe. A walk along the promenade or a visit to the Spanish Fortress on Monte Orlando is also fun and manageable with kids. The town has a relaxed atmosphere, making it perfect for families to enjoy both sightseeing and leisure time together.

We stayed in Pomezia because of the short distance to Rome and FCO airport. There are also a lot of good affordable restaurants in Pomezia. Also, my son and I enjoyed the go-kart racing at the Parco 51 shopping center. There is also an outlet mall and theme park close by that we enjoyed.

We were there for 2 days before the cruise.

We were there for 2 days before the cruise. The restaurants along the beach seem to be tourist traps. The Sealovers House is where we stayed, was disappointing. No hot water and a broken elevator on the 3rd floor. The MyLord restaurant was a fail. My pasta was so salty I couldn't eat it. The waiter didn't care. I feel like the area is taking advantage of a good thing they have at the port, for consumers. On a good note, the waterfront is beautiful. Convenient for a cruise out of Rome. Good Luck!

We stayed in Fiuggi as our daughter was staying in the same area for her college football tournament. We ate at a few nice restaurants - bistro and GoGo. Would recommend visiting here for an evening meal. There is a bar across from the hotel - lots of different beers to try. Lots of bars and shops in close proximity to each other. Accessible by foot. Supermarket well stocked with lots of basic essentials.

Frascati is a small, pleasant town with a good range of bars...

Frascati is a small, pleasant town with a good range of bars, restaurants, cafes and gelateria. A taxi from Ciampino airport takes 20-30 minutes and costs €50-60. It is a particularly good place to stay if you want to be near Rome but not actually staying in the city. Eating out is much cheaper and the town is relatively quiet and relaxed. As a bonus, the transport links are excellent. Rome is just 30 minutes or so by train from a small station right in the centre, with trains every hour on weekdays and every two hours on Sundays. And nearby places of interest such as Castel Gandolfo, Ariccia and Velletri, are accessible by regular buses from the main square (Piazza Marconi).
