Very adequate 4 stars rating: clean hotel in prime location, very helpful and speaking communicative English staff, good selection of fresh breakfast products and tasty coffee. Smooth wifi for unlimited devices. Very good aircon. Beach towel to rent €4, umbrella for free. Mini bar charged per item. Public buses €1,5 take you to the beaches on the island.

We booked one night and ended up staying for 5. The triple room was bigger than expected, it offered a separate bedroom, and a view to the sea and nice rock formations. The staff was very friendly and welcoming, and totally flexible when it came to special requests. The location was not bad either, walking distance to the seaside, one can also venture to walk all the way to the town center. Overall, we loved it!

Il Gabbiano was the first hotel on the island of La Maddalena, built in 1955. It offers beautiful views of the crystal clear sea and the islands of Caprera, Santo Stefano and Spargi.

The accommodation was great, the staff extremely friendly, and the food at the restaurant absolutely delicious.

Everything was fine. In colder weather I would like to have a kettle and a cup for making tea but in sunny weather I was happy with a lemon from the tree in the garden.

The location is perfect - right in the centre, so it’s easy to access restaurants, bars and shops. But not noisy, which is great! The rooms were serviced and cleaned daily - a real bonus! Facilities are modern and the room was spacious. Self check-in was easy and the hosts were easily contactable via WhatsApp.

Location was excellent, minutes away from the port and the restaurants/Main Street. Communication was superb and was made very welcome. I would most certainly recommend for the guests to stay here. The apartment has everything you need in case you don’t want to go out for food either.
