Hotel itself is a short walk to shops and restaurants, although from the train station was a bit further away. Main square out front had a carnival with midway rides for the kids, fun! Lots of activity.
Room was beautiful! Very ornate and, wow, the bathroom was awesome (even had a jetted tub). Bed and bedding was luxurious and so comfortable.
Michael at front desk checked us in and was very courteous and exceptionally professional. Thank you!
Breakfast selection was VERY good with local specialties. Service staff were polite and efficient.

SloveniaI can't wait to return to Hotel Le Fonti. The hotel was at a good, quiet, safe location. The room was very clean, good size, and with a beautiful view of the nature from the balcony. The breakfast was very good with different options; toasts, cereal, salami, cheese, eggs, pancakes, waffles, pies, desserts, croissants and with water/juice/tea always available. The coffee was made to order and very good. The staff was very kind, always happy to help with any questions or requests. The free WiFi worked very good! I would recommend this hotel.

SwitzerlandWe've booked this hotel for a family short break. We are a family of 5 members. I asked them if they could put the rooms nearby and they did. The rooms were very comfortable and very clean. The beds sheets were immaculate, and the mattresses were very nice to sleep on. We slept like babies!!
We had complementary bottles of water.
The breakfast buffet was very well served with a variety of food and choices.
Excellent customer service when we arrived late.
The hotel is very close to the town centre and very easy to find. There is plenty of place to park the car and is free.
We are definitely going to choose this hotel next time we come back.

Great location with ski in-ski out and a separate room for the skis (bring your own lock if you want to be safe, it was often left open). The view from the balcony was amazing and the apartment was clean and as expected. The supermarket across the street is very impressive - lot's of stuff, decent prices and fresh veggies, delis etc.
The ski resort was great - we were three families with everything from false beginners to advanced skiers and we were able to ski together most of the time (the advanced ones going "off piste" and the beginners staying on the blue slopes. Weather was a bit unreliable, but we had some great days. Definitely want to go back!

the location is perfect - right in the old town - tucked away 1 row behind so there is no noise. we parked the car right outside the front of our room with a balcony. We have a large dog and that was no problem at all for the hotel. We will definitely come back. Cuneo is beautiful and for us (a family of 7) + the large dog, this hotel was perfect.

We arrived by train at a beautiful but mostly abandoned train station (unfortunate because it is a beauty!!)
Town is on a surfboard-shaped plateau with beautiful bridges that access it by car or train. I did a walk around the whole plateau and was awe-struck by the beautiful old buildings and surrounding valleys.
Plenty of coffee shops and cafes/restaurants if you don't want to eat at your hotel.
So glad to have made the overnight stop here on our way from Turin to Menton by train.

Mondovi is a a little crown jewel of Italy, very nice old town on two levels. a lot of history is contained within its walls. Make sure to visit the upper level too, landmarked by the Belvedere clock tower. Don't miss out the Dolcetto Langhe and local wines ! For lunch I can recommend Agora Kafe on the upper level, in the Piazza Maggiore.

Very nice little mountain village with spectacular views. Great for walking and biking in the hills. Many beautiful churches, not a lot of tourists, local picturesque shops and cafés and only a 10 minute drive to Mondovi will all the amenities you could need including a shopping mall.

It's a nice ski area with plenty of lifts and slopes that suits everyone from beginner to advanced (although the really advanced skiers probably get bored after a while). The possibility to go to the Artesina side means that there is enough variation to last a week.
We were unlucky with the weather and it was very foggy and afterwards too sunny so the snow was melting.
The one big issue is that they have some kind of ski school where the teachers take 10-20 people with very little experience up the lifts and they are supposed to ski after the leader. This means they block the whole slope and when there are several such groups it becomes impossible to navigate. My daughter got stuck in between several times and it just wasn't fun. We've all been beginners but blocking the whole slope is not ok.

The place is packed with history walking through main street put you back in time. Explore the little side streets and having a hard time to decide where to have lunch or dinner.
The weekly street market is something you don't want to miss.
In short ; a city not very well known, but you don't want to miss. (Except for the parking, which is a problem in all old cities)

Mondovi is very clean and most buildings well kept. Shopping and restaurants and cafes were plentiful, and prices were very reasonable. We encountered no other tourists, which was nice, but we sometimes had difficulty communicating because we don’t speak Italian. We plan to return to spend more time exploring the town and region.

Great ski resort - we were some families with both false...
Great ski resort - we were some families with both false beginners and advanced skiers and we managed to ski together most of the time - the advanced ones going "off piste" in between and the beginners staying in the slopes.
The area is big and it's easy to go to the station Artesina (?) next door which gives you some changes. When we went the slopes were a bit too wet though, but it looked like a nice area.
The views are amazing and there are several restaurants sprinkled in the slopes. Having said that we were a bit disappointed with the food at the summit though - they only had polenta and it wasn't that great.
The slopes weren't crowded and apart from queuing (when grown up men would literally walk over the skis of the kids waiting in line!) people were very friendly.
I would definitely go back and I highly recommend for families with kids that have learned to ski but aren't super advanced.
