FAQs about hotels in Apulia
Rich Legacy and Natural Beauty
One of the richest archaeological regions in Italy, Puglia has received the influx from Greeks, Romans, Goths, Lombards, Byzantines, Normans and Spanish, amongst others. Together with an unusual and amazing landscape, Puglia is an Italian must!
With lower mountains than the rest of the country, it mixes fertile tablelands with dry landscape, rocky plateaus, and green hills. Kissed by the Adriatic and Ionian seas, its crystalline waters, rocky inlets and small sandy coves, well deserves a stay in some of the Puglia hotels on the beach.
Don’t miss the beautiful promontory of Gargano, nor Lecce’s stunning Baroque historic centre. Alberobello’s ‘trulli’ stone houses are a picturesque must. Being Apulia’s capital, Bari offers a number of cultural offer highlights as well as a lively nightlife, also famous in the summer resort of Gallipoli.
Its food is probably one of the best kept Italian secrets. The spaghetti with sea urchins is a typical delicious dish, while the ‘burrata’ cheese melts in your mouth with its creamy centre. You should also try the black olives, the ‘orecchiette’ pasta, and the amazing wines!
Whether you look for Puglia hotels with 5 stars, B&Bs or private villas, don’t miss the wide offer available on Booking.com!

- Scored out of 10, guest rating 6.3Pleasant - What previous guests thought, 82 reviewsOk so we booked The Corvino resourt centrally to Monopoli so we could tour La Puglia on our motorcycles. In this respect its an ideal location but otherwise its a 15 minute drive to the old town centre of Monopoli. On the other hand Pongiana al Mare, Ostuno, Locorotunda, Alberobello, Lecce and Matera are all the nice idylic old towns easily accessible by driving from the Corvino. The old town of Monopoli is quite amazing with its imposing 'Duomo' cathedral and big square full of restaurants and brasseries, even a great Japanese restaurant there too offering great Sushi! The Via Garibaldi below this square is also adorned with boutique shops for shopping the known fashion names too. Its parking facilities are fantastic with 24/7 security guard watch which is exactly why we booked the Corvino as we wanted secure parking for our classic motorcycles! They, the Security staff, Ormando and the rest are very nice and helpful and we enjoyed talking to them as we went in and out of this resort, they even organised our taxies for us too!! The bedroom was a bit small but clean, bathroom was fine too if you don't mind hitting your elbows on the shower's glass doors as you shower ;) Unfortunately they gave us a room which was way too far away from the reception and restaurant in the resort. Conversely we were very close to the beach and their Lido, which in September was closed down!! Most of the facilities at the Corvino had closed down by now, no pizzeria too... this is endemic to Italy in general as after their 'ferroagusto' month long national holiday everything starts to close down anyway. The Lido Bar was supposed to be open but I think only short hours during the day. The in house restaurant served us Breakfast and dinner on a buffet self-service which was plentiful and the food was generally quite good too! The hotel Staff were very nice and courteous to us and Alessandro helped us in every way too.Guest review byRaymondMalta
- Scored out of 10, guest rating 8.5Very Good - What previous guests thought, 100 reviewsThe territory is huge and very green. The rooms are spacious and clean. There are plenty of sunbeds and space at the beach, and the sea is crystal clear. Several heated pools with slides and a splash park were definitely great fun for the whole family. The buffet was not excessive and more focused on quality over quantity. The staff was friendly, courteous, and professional. The kids' club staff was especially wonderful! Very attentive, friendly, and competent. Always greeting the little ones by name, with a big smile and so much warmth.Guest review byNBItaly

Ostuni is well worth a visit.
Ostuni is well worth a visit. Easy to get and parking are ample. Views and surroundings v good. Food was absolutely delicious , ate at Mosca Bianca and highly recommend. Aside from the usual historic places e.g. cathedrals, city government buildings we saw studios/gallery which offered interesting paintings/scuptures by local artists.Guest review byyolamacUnited Kingdom - 10
This is a small town with a lot of history.
This is a small town with a lot of history. The walk from the train station to the waterfront takes about 20 minutes and is very easy. At the waterfront, there are a ton of restaurants. There were no ticky tacky shops that we saw but there are peddlers who are allowed to come into the restaurants to sell their trinkets. We were almost in the off season so it seemed pretty quiet but the views of the Adriatic Sea are amazing.Guest review byEllenUnited States - 10

A comfortable size town to explore on foot. Town, beaches and sea very clean. Host of eateries A place to relax and make return visits. Ideal for young families and adults not looking for nightlife. Restriction of local buses in October onwards.Guest review byBarry - 10
Gallipoli was fun to explore.
Gallipoli was fun to explore. While we were there it was quite windy, and we experienced sunset during our supper (highly recommended!). It is also within easy driving distance of other interesting places, esp. Santa Maria di Leuca, Nardo, Spiaggia Pescoluse.Guest review byGregCanada - 10

Visiting San Giovanni Rotondo was a truly meaningful and peaceful experience. As the home of Padre Pio, it’s a special place for spiritual reflection and prayer. The atmosphere is calm and welcoming, and the sanctuary is beautifully maintained. The town is small but full of heart, with kind locals, good food, and everything within walking distance. It’s perfect for those seeking a quiet retreat or pilgrimage. Highly recommended for anyone looking to connect spiritually or enjoy a slower pace in a beautiful, serene setting.Guest review byLouMalta
