The entire property is so picturesque like its out of a movie. Very luxurious room design and space as well as the unbelivable scenrery in every direction.     What an outstanding place to stay. We were welcomed by a beautiful staff member who went out of her way to welcome us. The room was stunning and very comfortable. We stayed in one of the rooms (room no. 1), but there are also cottages there. We were fortunate enough to have a large bath tub as well. The room was very clean and housekeeping did a wonderful job during our stay. While there were no hot breakfast options, the breakfast was delicious. We were there for two nights so as a result we had slightly different things to eat on both days. Very happy with the food choices and the lady who was there at breakfast. The coffee was made for us and we both enjoyed two cups. The juice was so fresh. I even saw some gluten free options in packets. We drove there by car and there was a lot of parking available. It was extremely quiet as you need to drive to town. It was very peaceful. There is an outdoor pool. There is also a guest lounge that you can spend some time in. But our room was very nice so we never used the lounge room. Thank you for a lovely stay. The accommodation is lovely and your staff ensured that our stay was extremely enjoyable. The lady at reception even offered to order us pizza from a local place that delivers pizza so we didn’t need to drive anywhere. We enjoyed a lovely complementary bottle of wine as well. Thank you.

    Absolutely amazing destination for a relaxing short break. The entire facilities were spectacular with no loud music, just the beauty of nature. The pool was super and felt so refreshing. Staff were excellent particularly Val Mina who gave such a warm welcome (I loved her uniform). Restaurant staff were so helpful and attention to detail was fabulous. I was celebrating a special birthday and so made wonderful memories which will stay with me always.

    Florence has impressive sites, but even though we arrived in September, the city was very crowded and in some places it was difficult to move comfortably. We waited almost an hour to enter the Duomo and perhaps we could have used the time better.

    Amazing property - exceeds expectations in every way. The staff, the scenery, the luxe and comfy room decor, the lovely upgrade, and all the wonderful wine and food on property and in nearby Montefioralle and Greve. SO worth the trip. I wish we were here in the warmer months to make use of that beautiful pool with the to-die-for view!!!

    I have been to Tuscany more times than I can count.

    I have been to Tuscany more times than I can count. This is my first time stopping in and staying in Colle di Val d'Elsa. The location is very close to all the major sites in Tuscany. Volterra and San Gimignano are extremely closeby as well as Chianti. There is a charm to the old town area of Colle di Val d'Elsa, not a ton of tourists like the other sites in the area.

    The apartement was even nicer than pictures. There was oil and a bit of vinegar as well as salt and pepper. It would have been nice to have a few more amenities. The pool looked really nice but we did not have time to take advantage of it. Check in was easy even though we arrived very late at night. Same for the check out.

    Fantastic little town with tonnes of restaurants and cafes to choose from. The museum ticket is great value as it gets you into lots of the historic sights. We enjoyed the weaponry exhibit as you were allowed to hold and try on the different artefacts which was cool! We parked nearby and paid with card on exit (only line up at the ticket machine if you’re paying cash). The onsite wine shop (connected to the popular winery near by) was delicious too. Would definitely recommend this town for people to visit and dine at!

    Castellina in Chianti is a beautiful village. Lovely wine farms to visit. It is a great location for a 30 minute drive into Siena or San Gimignano and lots of other charming Tuscan villages. A great place to relax and enjoy the scenery.

The atmosphere is peaceful, with a lovely, cozy, green, clean, and historic setting. Essential services are available, and both Siena and Florence are less than an hour’s drive away.

    Gaiole in Chianti is a wonderful little town with a good town center with a good variety of restaurants, a pharmacy and supermarket. It makes the perfect place to make your day trips to other cities, like Siena, Florence, San Gimignano, Rada in Chianti, Greve in Chianti. Also if you want to cycle, the area around Gaiole is perfect.

    San Casciano is remote in the beautiful Tuscan Hills, although just 40 minutes slow drive to Florence The hotel is 7 minutes outside the town, so walking is difficult. Need a car to go anywhere. Taxis are not available. This hotel is pretty good, but the much-acclaimed restaurant is, at best, just above average and pricey. Claims to be "special" but isn't! Terrace dining is romantic but watch the wasps in the daytime and mosquitos in the evening. Swmming pool fairly small and crowded. Grounds are pristine and lots of lovely bougainvillea. Reception staff smile a lot. Huge carpark!

    This place was incredible.

    This place was incredible. The property was beautiful and so well kept. The owner, Alex, could t have done more to make sure we were comfortable in our stay and went out of his way to make sure we had everything we needed. He was really friendly, great with our kids and made us feel like we were at home. The rooms were so well decorated, the beds comfy and Alex had great recommendations for exploring the area nearby. I wouldn’t hesitate to come back in an instant.
