Calapetra Resort in Sicily is a true boutique gem that masterfully combines authentic Sicilian charm with understated luxury. This resort offers a refreshing simplicity that feels intentional and elegant, creating an atmosphere where every detail speaks of thoughtful design and genuine comfort. Staying here is like discovering a peaceful sanctuary that embraces you with warm hospitality and a refined yet unpretentious vibe. What makes Calapetra especially standout is how perfectly it aligns with the boutique and luxury experience: intimate, personalized, and rich in local character without ever feeling overwhelming. The setting enhances this feeling, offering stunning views and a serene environment that feels like your own private escape. While there are other restaurants nearby, I would highly recommend avoiding most of them as they don’t live up to the quality you’ll find at Calapetra. Instead, be sure to visit *Vista Mare*, a Pearl of a restaurant that resonates beautifully with the resort’s ethos. Vista Mare effortlessly blends sophistication with authenticity, offering exquisite local dishes framed by breathtaking sea views. It’s a perfect complement to the Calapetra experience, enhancing your stay with flavors that are as genuine and refined as the resort itself. In all, Calapetra Resort stands out as a luxury boutique destination where simplicity is the ultimate sophistication, and authenticity is woven into every moment of your stay.

Perfect location opposite the sea, room was a great size with lovely decor. Lots of character and a chic theme running through the hotel. Breakfast was wonderful, coffee was delicious! We got valet parking at €30 a day which took the stress out of driving in Ortigia. The town is stunning and well worth 2-3 days of your trip. Amazing good, friendly people, beautiful scenery and the archeological site is 10/10 incredible. We can’t wait to return!

The resort was quite spacious, Away from the hustle and bustle of the city. Ideal for a relaxing holiday. The staff was very nice and helpful and available 24x7.They could speak English which was a relief. The swimming pool area was really nice and serene. They give complementary breakfast too. The cakes and jams are all from their organic farms and home made. But it was more sweet based than anything salty, For those you have a sweet tooth for breakfast, it may be a treat. They also provide bikes(cycles) which you can hire for free for exploring the neighbouring areas. They also provide free parking which was a bonus. Location was perfect for me- calm and peaceful with nature and greenery around. Also, its just 15 mins from ortigia by car, so not far from major tourist attractions too. I also had massage from Sara which was very relaxing. In nutshell, I had a wonderful experience and it was the best place to end my vacation in a relaxing way before starting to work again.

Very very friendly host - since we did not have a car, sh even picked us up and brought us to the beach once! Daniela gave us recommendations for stuff to do around the area. Really beautiful and calm location! Lots of beautiful and clean beach areas around. The apartment/ house is not to big and has a really nice Terrasse for chilling outside, with little fairy lights outside for late-night talks. By bus 30min to Syracuse, 30min to fontane bianche.

Cassibile in itself is a pretty normal town. There are all the amenities one would expect to find - pretty much within walking distance of the property we stayed in. There are some fabulous pizzerias which are worth trying out. The best thing about Cassibile is that it is within very short driving distances to Avola, Fonte Bianche, Noto, and Ortigia to name a few great locations.

The area is about 20 minutes from the main city by car. It is a quiet area with simple reasturants on an undeveloped sea inlet. There are farms and boat yards on the bay. The area does not have many tourists so if you’re wanting to getaway from city life this may suit you. I would say a car is necessary to explore this area. We ate at a small restaurant with outside area by the water. Great sunset followed by reflection of the city lights over the bay.

We really enjoyed our stay at this villa!

We really enjoyed our stay at this villa! The villa isn’t brand-new, but it’s spotless and full of charm. The accommodation is cozy, with a well-kept garden and convenient parking. It’s only 30 meters to an almost private beach with an easy entrance to the water, stones, and fish — swimming there was a real pleasure. Within 10–20 minutes by car you can reach many other beautiful beaches. The house has everything you need for a comfortable holiday, even a barbecue. We’d like to give special thanks to the host, Ferdinando — he is very attentive and friendly, and recommended the best beaches and places to visit. Our two-week vacation went by without a single problem. We highly recommend this place to anyone seeking a peaceful and comfortable spot on the coast.

Siracusa is an interesting and varied city.

Siracusa is an interesting and varied city. Historically and culturally there are lots to see and explore particularly in the old town area of Ortigia but also at the archaeological park. If you like eating out the variety and quality of restaurants is exceptional and if you like seafood you will not be disappointed! The prices were also very reasonable and you can eat lunch in the street food area of Ortigia ridiculously cheaply but with restaurant quality. A holiday location for adults though or maybe families with older, late teens maybe or older, children as there are really no beaches worth speaking of where younger children could play or swim safely. Go so.ewhere else in Sicily if that's your priority.

I would recommend the area for a short trip for the beach. In truth, we didn't venture anywhere else other than the villa and the beach as we went there for a change away from the cities we were visiting, but there didn't seem to be a lot to do in the area besides that anyway. The beaches were good, not the best we've been to, but still good, and generally the facilities there were good too.
