Rooms are absolutely gorgeous. I love the center door knobs. This was our best hotel stay in italy (we stayed in 4 different ones). Unfortunately i caught the intestinal flu while we were in florence and it was horrible, i had to stay at the hotel basically the entire time. So I was grateful that at least the room was lovely. The staff were so helpful when we got there, showed us around the room and explained pretty much everything. They gave us a bunch of free waters as well. I had a good view of the duomo from my bed that i admired (in between puke sessions + it was the only thing to look at)

This was an amazing few nights stay for us. The resort is fabulous, located by the beach, little chalets are between pines trees. The chalet we had was perfect for our family of 5. There is plenty to do for the kids. Pools were very busy but we didn’t mind as the beach and sea was what we preferred. Our son was the only speaking child in the kids club ( this was. A group for 10 year olds) but the person looking after the group (Abdullah) made sure that our boys felt included and had a great time. The Italian boys were also very welcoming and super kind and so my son had a very good time. We loved the evening entertainment. Food was a bit meh, for Italian beautiful food standards but it was fresh and overall ok for few days (I am not sure I would be happy if we stayed over the week 😀 the cook really needs to learn how to make scrambled eggs. But the omlettes were good). The little shop on the facilities was just great for daily groceries. Overal amazing!

It’s very cute and quaint with a variety of camping types (personal tents and campers but also rentable mobile homes and tent houses). I love that there is not auto traffic though the campground which makes it quiet and safe for walking. The mobile home we rented was clean and comfortable. All linens were included which was appreciated as we were traveling by bike. The beach was really nice and the water was very shallow for a long ways out.

Loved every single detail about the property. The reason I gave 4/5 for location is because the hotel is located in a very remote and secluded area, which is the whole idea about relaxation. If you want to have any activity outside the hotel there is no taxi, Uber, bus, shuttle, public transportation,…. You MUST have a car or you need to pay a very high fee to have a private transfer by the hotel.

Impeccably run campsite on beach in remote, non-touristy area. We admired the design of our 5 person lodge tent, with 2 BR and BA, full kitchen and deck. Great private restaurant on grounds and a store, very quiet, friendly. The area seemed safe since no one locked up their bikes except electric bikes. Good compact design of site, not too far to walk to the beach.

Went December 2025, my third time here but last time was circa 13 years ago, 2007 before that. Previous visits were September in the warmth so this was the first time in the cold and wet.... it did rain daily but Florence is still beautiful in the rain. A trek up the ~414 steps of the Bell Tower beside the Doumo, a visit to the Baptistry, a walk across the Ponte Vecchio to get to the Pitti Palace are all a must, as is a visit to the Uffizi Gallery. Bring good walking shoes! For eating on the go All'Antico Vinaio is a gem and loved by locals, for a sit down meal La Grotta Di Leo is slightly off the tourist track and recommended by our hotel guide and worth a visit. Great food (veggie options are available but it's definitely not a veggie place!), nice atmosphere and great wine. Florence is a very tourist city so plenty of hawkers will try and sell you stuff (including umbrellas if it's chucking it down) but stand firm. For those use to footpaths/pavements beware that the traffic and pedestrians share some of the same space so it takes a bit of getting used to, the Italians make it work. Do try the gelato, whatever the weather, when in Florence!

Pisa in December is down to earth working and student city with quaint medieval streets leading from the centre where the tower is. Great Tuscan food, warm welcome and great for strolling and enjoying the atmosphere among the beautiful squares or along the river. Its a great location for travel across the region, with an easy to access airport. I found it very charming as a destination in its own right and plan to return soon.

I truly think Lucca is a must when visiting Tuscany.

I truly think Lucca is a must when visiting Tuscany. It's a short and easy train ride from Florence. It is a walled city that has a special charm inside of the walls, and you can walk the walls of the city! People stroll up there, ride their bikes, walk their dogs - it's lovely. The churches of Lucca are beautiful, wonderful shops and restaurants, art exhibits, Christmas festivities, it's a great place to spend a few days. We did a wine tasting experience in the countryside that was a fun & memorable experience as well.

There's not a lot there. And when the cruise ships come in, it gets manic with people getting on busses. We'd a BAD experience with the inspectors that come on buses. They home in on tourist's, when they checked our tickets that we did on the card machine, though not our fault, we wanted 2 tickets, it gave us 1 and the called us crimenals

A beautiful historic town and one of our favourite stays on our 10-day Italy roadtrip. We traveled as a couple (in our 35-40's), and highly recommend staying at La Romantica Lolo, having a private wine tasting at Ercolani, dining at Ristorante La Grotta, and truffle hunting at Podere il Casale (15-min drive).

Prato has a lot of historic buildings, with lots of bars, cafes and restaurants hiding up side streets and in the squares. There’s also a large modern art gallery just outside - worth a visit if you like that kind of art. The railway station is a hub to get to all major cities - we travelled from Rome and then went on to visit Florence, Bologna and Pisa cheaply and easily.

We are hikers and rock climbers, the location was good for climbing in nearby Monsummano, Several Via Ferattas are within an hour or two drive. The restaurants are many and most are quite good, especially in Montecatini Alto. For those who like to shop, the main plaza has a plethora of sores, including high end shops.

The town is nice.

The town is nice. It is a quiet time of the year, but the merchants we encountered were friendly. The Terme Theia was ok, but the management inflexible when I tried to inform them of a booking error within 24hours of making it they did not reply to my emails, and when I spoke to the they said that once I paid there was no refund or changes. I prefer the Terme sensoriale, but unfortunately they are only open on weekends
