We love Venice! This was our second visit.
We love Venice! This was our second visit. There is so much to see and we enjoyed just walking around and exploring! Of course, the gelato was fun! We had booked a walking tour with The Tour Guy which included San Marco and The Doges Palace and a 30 minute gondola ride. We were expecting rain, and were thrilled that the weather was clear.it was chilly though and a bit windy.i wore layers of tops and jackets. We went to Murano on Wednesday which was a fun trip and also visited the Leonardo da Vinci Interactive Museum, which we enjoyed. It was a wonderful 4 days.Guest review byJillUnited States - 10.0
Verona — a city you can’t help but fall in love with 💛
Verona — a city you can’t help but fall in love with 💛 Walking through its charming streets feels like traveling back in time. Narrow cobblestone lanes, cozy cafés, the sound of street musicians, and the aroma of fresh espresso create a truly magical atmosphere. The Verona Arena is breathtaking — especially at sunset, when its ancient walls glow in golden light. The view from Ponte Pietra is simply unforgettable, and a stroll along the Adige River reveals the city’s romantic soul. Verona isn’t just the city of Romeo and Juliet — it’s a place where history and modern life blend perfectly. I’ll definitely come back one day ❤️Guest review byMGreenchGeorgia - 10.0

Although I spent most of my time in Venice, I enjoyed the casual walkable surroundings. Good coffee shops and restaurants close by. The bus into Venice took 10 minutes and ran often. The train station was also close by. Staying in Mestre was certainly less hectic than staying in Venice so it was quite enjoyable.Guest review byronUnited States - 10.0

College town with nice squares, historic buildings, museums and university without all the tourists. No big tourist groups or buses. Felt more like a real livable city with a local community. Prices for food and drinks were very reasonable relative to the more popular tourist locations.Guest review byDR Ron GUnited States - 8.0

Easily reached from Verona and an interesting place with it's massive Venetian style defensive walls. It has a couple of pretty areas, but there isn't a lot else of historic interest here. Plenty of nice places to eat though, with Osteria Rivelin and Amici Miei Tipicoteca the standouts that we tried. From here you can use the ferries and buses to go elsewhere quite easily - as long as you are relaxed about bus timetables. Theme parks Gardaland and Movieland are pretty close by as well, for the kids. Finally, the people are lovely and friendly everywhere.Guest review byPeterUnited Kingdom - 10.0

just behind the hotel is a strip where all the bars, shops , restaurants are located. they all appeared to be of a very high standard. great beer options. food is made to a very good standard. We went into John Martins , Mary's , Route 66 and theB. live music venue. drink and food prices reasonable. the beach is sunbeds cheek by jowl, but the hotel alocates sunbeds. very safe beach and warm meditteranian sea. use insect bite cream though due to the lagoon location.Guest review bymartinUnited Kingdom - 10.0
Really enjoyed staying in Bardolino.
Really enjoyed staying in Bardolino. Plenty of shops and spoilt for choice when it came to restaurants. It’s quite busy even late September and I wouldn’t want to go during the peak summer months for this reason but also the heat.Guest review byJeannetteUnited Kingdom - 8.0

It's not the cheapest town in the area, and not every place has the same high standards. Lots of Olympic construction going on, both in town and all around, so watch out for delays and possible noise. But you'll get over that once you smell the air and see the views. This is the Alsager then someGuest review byTimUnited Kingdom - 2.0
Marghera is an ugly, industrial port city close to Venice.
Marghera is an ugly, industrial port city close to Venice. Nobody travels to that region to see Marghera, obviously Venice is the attraction. Our cruise was departing and returning to Marghera. This is why we stayed there.Guest review byBolshoi_HuiBritish Virgin Islands - 10.0
Treviso is worth a visit if you are near or close to Venice.
Treviso is worth a visit if you are near or close to Venice. It's a very walkable town with ancient roots and lots of great shops and places of interest. We were mostly stayed within the city walls chose a neighborhood with amazing shops, cafes, and restaurants. It also felt more diverse in population than some of the other towns we visited - both in age and ethnicity (probably due to the local university and the fact that the city also hosts a lot of study abroad programs). Some memorable places we went to include * Cathedral of St. Peter the Apostle (a/k/a the Duomo) * Osteria Dalla Gigia for a quick bites/small snacks (highly recommend the mozzarella in carrozza if it's available) * Toni del Spin - a trattoria with a great wine list * Mangiafuoco - a lovely children's shop that specializes in paper mache, wood, and fabric toys and decor * Noberasco 1908 dried fruit specialty store (the slightly sweetened dried orange slices are like no other) * Camelia BakeryGuest review bySusanUnited States
