I loved my stay in this hotel. It was even better than I expected it since I got to stay on the top floor, with a beautiful 180° view towards the North West part of the city, with the sea in the horizon. It felt like a little cocoon everytime I got back after a long day of walking and since it was well isolated from the rest of the rooms, it was quiet and confortable to stay in. Everything inside looks new and the cleanliness of the room in general was very good. Being able to heat up food inside the room really was a nice plus. The location feels the most practical for any tourist looking to visit major touristic attractions since we can do everything on foot in regards to Nagamachi, Oyama shrine, the Kanazawa castle grounds, Kenrokuen and the museums' areas. For others sites, the bus stops going toward the station or Ninja-dera are 2 minutes away. For those using an IC card emitted by a major transportation company (Pasmo, Icoca, Suika, Pitaca, etc.), you can use them when travelling by JR blue buses or loop buses (make sure to tap your card both when you enter and exit the bus). I also liked the proximity of 2 konbini within a 5-min radius and the fact that the central touristic information center that rents rain boots for free was 2 minutes from the hotel.

Everything! The location was near the station, (just a straight down road). They offer us every night one beverage or alcohol drink for free. The bed (mattress and pillows) was very good. Since you want to get some rest in Kanazawa in order to continue your long trip in Japan, the bed type counts 1000%!! Staff was very kind.

Location is very good, just 6 min walk from Kanazawa station west exit and mostly via the underpass. Room though is not big, but the layout is efficient. Aircon is not centralised which is good and windows can be opened easily to let in cool fresh air. Very clean room and comfortable bed with good mattress. Reception Staff is friendly and nice, one of them tried to help us make a dinner reservation on a busy weekend as we couldn’t speak Japanese. Parking is tight but there is always a staff there to help.

Kanaka Inn is great. The staff are wonderful, and the vinyl bar in the foyer is an excellent place to hang out. They really know both their drinks and their music! The room, by Japanese standards was huge, and even had a lovely views towards the trees of Kenroku-en! It was spotlessly clean. There were some great places to visit an easy walk away, and great shops along the pedestrian area where the hotel is situated, and beyond. As it was my husband’s birthday while we were there, the staff booked Plat Home in advance for us (highly recommended) and also surprised him with a slice of delicious chocolate birthday cake complete with sparklers in the bar! Wonderful place!

Everything was exactly as shown. The staff were very friendly and welcoming and the room was gorgeous. The pyjamas they provided were very comfy too. Would stay here again in a heartbeat. They have bikes available for rent too! Our favourite bit was that we had a lovely hanging plant in our room.
