The food was well prepared and very good value for money. The shuttle service to pick us up from the station and take us to surrounding areas (within a 30 minute radius by car) was extremely helpful. The rooms were clean and the staff were very friendly and cooperative.

Everything was perfect. Beautiful and calm location. Delicious food - we stayed for 2 nights and it was a different menu for both breakfast and kaiseki dinner on each day. Very nice collection of books and art albums in the lounge area. Lovely cocktails in the bar. But the best part was very attentive and friendly staff. Both my wife and I have tattoos so we stayed in the room with a private onsen. It was fantastic and you can adjust the temperature for your liking. Absolutely worth it. Also, the staff helped us to reserve a public bath for private use outside of busy hours so we can enjoy beautiful scenery of Nagano. The hotel has very unique vibe and history. Can't wait to visit it again.

It was a small pension, only have 6 or 7 rooms so it was quite quiet during the stay. It locates at the quiet side of the lake so you really need a car. I had dinner at our first night there, the food quality was outstanding and not expensive at all giving this quality and service. The private onsen (hotspring) is exceptionally big and very comfortable. Room is very big comparing to regular hotel room, even big hotel room. Staff were very friendly and cheerful, I like them a lot. Within 1 hour drive, you can access a lot of beautiful places. I stayed there for 3 nights and not nearly enough to enjoy the surrounding areas.
