It was a wonderful experience for me since this is my first time to snow mountain , the view at Tateyama Kogen Hotel was really stunning . When i checked in it was very foggy and the next morning i just couldn't believe my eyes the ALPS peak is just in front of my room window . It was so close to me . It's really beautiful with the sunrise . Since i went there early 1st May , i can only see the snow wall corridor and the beauty of Kurobe dam . The view is really pretty. oh if you are planning to drive to Ogizawa , don't worry there are plenty of car park but make sure you arrive early . I forgot about the library but overall not many sights near the train stations for a tourist. I came from the Ogizawa side of the Tateyama Kurobe route and thought that I could have taken the shinkansen to Nagano or train to Kanazawa to spend the day/night there instead. However, Toyama seems like an ideal overnight stop from the Tateyama side. Despite being a fish port, I thought that the popular kaiten sushi shops by the train stations are a little overrated, though still good.
