It is a luxury yurta, with all amenities of a very nice accomodation (heating, private toilet and shower, nice and big room, wifi) but also the advantages of being immersed in the nature, with a transparent ceiling to admire the sky and a very nice view of the river and the mountains. The owners are lovely, taking good care of everything, from cleaning to preparing dinner and breakfast, always with a nice smile. Kolsay lake is just 3 minutes drive so I highly recommend staying here for the night and appreciating the peaceful environment.

I highly recommend this hotel! The hotel is spotlessly clean, in a building that has recently been renovated. The rooms are beautiful, spacious and well equipped with comfortable beds. Despite the low temperatures outside, it was warm and cozy inside. The owner was always available and ready to help guests in any way she could. She is incredibly friendly, warm, and kind! Additionally, the owner also speaks English and Russian. She is really amazing and very helpful! She organized a full-day trip to Altyn Emel National Park for us, which was also a wonderful experience thanks to excellent guide who, in addition to his great driving skills and knowledge of the national park, is also a very friendly person, and we truly enjoyed spending the day with him. I highly recommend this option! Furthermore, she helped us find alternative transportation to Almaty within a few hours, so we were able to get there quickly with a very friendly driver. The property's location is excellent. The laundry service is an added plus. The property also has a dining room where you can order meals during your stay for a reasonable fee. Even though we don't eat meat, they managed to make meatless meals for us. We'll definitely stay here again when we visit Altyn Emel next time! Thank you so much for your help and hospitality!

A lovely little oasis and we were fortunate to be given a free room upgrade so we were very grateful for this. One staff member in particular was lovely and spoke English, he was super helpful and went out of his way to make sure we were ok. We loved the garden space and the room was spacious and comfy. They prepared a lovely meal for us and some nice tea as well. They were kind and gracious hosts.

I stayed in tree house. The bed was little bit soft cousing body pains. The location amazing and the resort is perfect for family vacations. Nature and play yards for the kids. I liked the hourse riding activity espacailly its around the mountains

Saty is a launch off point for Kosai Lakes and Lake Kaindy.

Saty is a launch off point for Kosai Lakes and Lake Kaindy. It has nothing going for it as a place and can be walked around in 10 mins. essentially its a service town with a couple of shops, a small medical clinic , a nice looking mosque and is the centre for the national park administration. I think 3 days is a good enough time there. 1st day walking to Kolsai Lake 2 (no food/facilities at arrival) from the start at Lake 1. The walk is about 5miles each way and it is moderate in difficulty. Can be very slippery if its rained overnight as the trail is shared , humans and horses and so gets a bit messy in parts . The last 2km of the walk out is steep but manageable by most , otherwise its an undulating and well used pathway. A beautiful walk and the best Ive done in Kasakhstan so far (including Shumbaluk ) 2nd day, I suggest Lake Kaindy ,after a bumpy 4 wheel drive ride for 12km its a short walk up a road (not along the river) to the lake. Worthwhile hanging down by the lake for a bit. Horse riding if you're interested. (no food or facilities ) On the 3rd day, Boating, horse riding , fishing at !st Lake at Kolsai. Nice restaurant, good food and coffee up there and internet. Boats are fun T8000 an hr. Lots of Yurt guest houses about. variable standard so check them out first. Lake Kolsai Village resort (at Lake 1) has cabins (new) which look comfortable but higher end of the $$ market. Excellent place for a few days and the drive there from Almaty is about 3.5hrs and road is good. I would think it gets cold out of summer season so always carry a sweater or jacket.

Not much to see in Taldtkurgan.

Not much to see in Taldtkurgan. The town / Region museum was excellent but you will need a translator as the exhibits are detailed only in Russian and Kazakh. (Akimat please note) For a business person, perfect.

no access to indian food hence we preferred self catering as...

no access to indian food hence we preferred self catering as we wiuld love to stay here long. for short stay the food they serve is very good and tasty. cafes nad restaurents nearby. we had to eat at the accomodtaion all three meals. mustis a vehicle to get around the region. minimum two night staynsi necessary to enjoy explore the region but ideally 4/5 nights especially if you are nature lover and prefer to be in isolated place being one with nature
