Most of the receptionists were very helpful.Good that hotel was located across from a restaurant. Modern room. Location was superior to Semey Hotel,the other option. Taxi calls by hotel were great.

Beautiful hotel, in my opinion best one in the city, with the modern rooms, perfect amenities and friendly staff. Coming from the hospitality industry myself, I would highly recommend this hotel to whoever is traveling, bonus point to the English speaking staff who was very helpful in small things. Would like to suggest transfer options which can be added to the room extras in case if there’s no cash or if travelers don’t know about Yandex app.

For those who are interested in literature, the city should...

For those who are interested in literature, the city should offer some value. It has museums dedicated to both Dostoevsky and Abai. They both lived there for a while. There is some Soviet heritage, but it is getting harder and harder to find them. The anatomical museum is currently undergoing renovations, and the alley of Lenins is no more, presumably as they too are under renovations. The big statue of Lenin still stands though, which is a nice little addition to say the least. Food situation is a bit dire, for those who do not eat meat, but you will not starve.
