We had a truly wonderful stay at Croft Cottage! The property is a stunning British-style 3-storey villa, beautifully designed and immaculately maintained. The location is excellent, making it both peaceful and convenient. The cottage has lovely common areas that make it feel warm and inviting, perfect for relaxing together. A special mention and heartfelt thanks to Taranga, the housekeeper, who went above and beyond to ensure our stay was comfortable in every way. Every aspect of this boutique, modern eco lodge was AMAZING! We stayed for a couple of days after Christmas and loved the festive feel, fire pits, and beautiful sunrise and sunsets. The buildings blend in with the landscape and interiors are stunning - recommend staying in Chalet Neru. The food was delicious and higher end and the fruit / veg grown onsite. Our kids loved the farm tour and homemade ice cream and jams. All staff were super friendly, professional and seemed genuinely happy to work there. Kitchen was accommodating with my allergy restrictions. I’d been concerned about insects before we arrived however only spotted a couple of stick insects outdoors during our trip. Everyone in our family wished we could have stayed at the property for at least one more night.

A beautiful stay in every sense! The design is refined and full of old-world charm — from the furniture to the photographs that tell its story. The high tea with live music is simply amazing, and breakfast was equally impressive — especially the hopper. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive — Haroon from reception even got my favourite straw hat repaired and ironed within a couple of hours, bringing it back from complete ruin! I also enjoyed the well-equipped gym with great tips from the personal trainer, an outstanding full body massage, and a lovely selection of reasonably priced jewellery at the hotel shop. Truly exceptional service and attention to detail. Highly recommended.

Besides doing the incredibly beautiful hike to Adams Peak, you can hire a tuktuk driver to guide you to Morey's Waterfall. the best waterfall we got to hike to in Sri lanka, challenging 1 hour hike but you'll get to stroll thru lush tea plantations and walk along side Lake Morey.

A nice area to do a lot of treks amongst the tea plantations . central location if you need to drive up to hill station of Nuwera Eliya or experience the wild life at Horton Plains, A lot of Hindu Kovils to explore in town of Hatton and Tea Factory experience at Dunkeld Tea Factory.

If you are into budget travel and want a genuine local...

If you are into budget travel and want a genuine local experience, NanuOya is a good town to visit. It’s very close to the main tourist town Nuwara Eliya (approx 9km away) and has buses heading there every 20mins. You can also get there by train. The locals are very helpful and kind. You get a few places to eat food like South Indian dishes and koththu and a few places to buy liquor from. There are two waterfalls and the larger, wider one located inside the Glassough tea estate is a place where you can bathe in on a sunny day. It’s a lovely little town surrounded by tea estates!

Excellent location for thr Pekoe Trail, good rooms and delicious food. I understand there will be facilities for guides accompanying parties. The hotel is on several levels so not suitable for people with disabilities.

Wonderful place to stay and good place to explore. We went to Lover's Leap Waterfalls, Gregory lake, Sita Temple, Hanuman Temple, Labookellie Tea Centre, Ambewela Farms, Victoria Park, Hakgala Botanical Gardens and Grand Hotel.

Do not climb on Saturdays as you will most probably not be...

Do not climb on Saturdays as you will most probably not be able to reach the top. It was over-crowded and the path is narrow the last 500 meters. Got stuck in one spot for 45 minutes and decided to turn around. Still got amazing views though and the experience of local pilgrimage which was a privilege!

Hatton is the second largest city in Nuwara Eliya District has so many places to visit.The Adams peak is the most venerated place in the area.Many reserviors and watterfalls can see in this area.Seven virgin mountains,Sri pada Forest can be explored during the stay.

Maskeliya is a market town which could be lot more .

Maskeliya is a market town which could be lot more .The hilly terrain is a planners dream. I imagine the buildings painted pastal pink and yellow, flower pots hanging from the eves, it could be a destination rather than a quick stop to buy supplies on the way to elsewhere as is now.
