Cleanliness: The cleanliness of the hotel was impeccable. Every area, from the rooms to the common spaces, was well maintained standards. Dining: We enjoyed both breakfast and dinner at the hotel. The meals were excellent and offered great value for money. Although the food was a bit spicy for our taste, this is a subjective preference, and the overall spread was impressive and diverse. - From US$371.76 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.9Fabulous - What previous guests thought, 124 reviewsThe resort is put together beautifully. peaceful and perfectly blended with the natural surroundings. Our water dwelling was just stunning. The attention to detail and the room layout are awesome. The service was outstanding. A special thank you to Ravindra and Amila, who looked after us throughout our stay. It’s great to have a personal butler, but what made the experience really special was how genuinely they cared about making us feel at home. The guided tour of Sigiriya Rock and the elephant safari are well-organized, and the naturalists who joined us were knowledgeable and making the trips more than worthwhile. If you’re planning to do these kinds of trips, definitely go with a guide. The food was another highlight with attention to local dishes as well as international cuisine.Guest review byJanBelgium
- From US$155.76 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.8Fabulous - What previous guests thought, 627 reviewsTop notch service. We were welcomed by very friendly staff the moment we arrived at the hotel. Facilities were well maintained, clean and mostly free of insects. We think the hotel puts in a lot efforts into maintenance given its location in nature and the climate. The room is large, functional and aesthetic. You could find most utility items you need inside the room. Environment wise, there were monkeys and birds roaming around the complex!! The staff also did everything they can to accommodate our requests, thank you for the hospitality! The complimentary breakfast has a wide variety of food and is of nice quality. The cocktails in the bar are nice too! The dinner is a bit ordinary in comparison but still nice.Guest review byChui YeeHong Kong
- From US$285.99 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 9.0Superb - What previous guests thought, 1,600 reviewsWhat an amazing experience staying at this hotel. It felt like they had thought of everything from live music, magicians, music in the bathrooms and such a beautiful setting in the forest/jungle. The monkeys are so fun to watch especially the ones with the black faces. Yes this hotel is on the higher price point but it’s worth it for the atmosphere and attention from the many staff. Everything can be arranged by the reception with many experiences or a tuk tuk if you need to go to Dambulla. The buffet dinner is amazing with so much to choose from and of high quality and the buffet breakfast is delicious also.Guest review byMattHong Kong

Our visit to Kandy was truly wonderful, offering a perfect blend of cultural heritage, natural beauty, and modern convenience. The city is a joy to explore, and we found it remarkably easy to get around. One of the highlights of our trip was visiting the iconic Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic (Maligawa) and taking a relaxing stroll around the picturesque Kandy Lake. We also loved exploring the serene Udawatte Kele Sanctuary, which felt like a peaceful escape. For those interested in the region's history, the Hanthana Tea Museum and the Kandy Wax Museum were both fascinating, and the Peradeniya Botanical Gardens were an absolute must-see with their stunning and diverse flora. The dining scene in Kandy was delightful. For lunch, we enjoyed a delicious and authentic meal at the Sri Ramya Hotel in town. For a special evening, we had dinner at Sams restaurant, which offered not only great food but also a fantastic view of the city. We also grabbed a quick bite at the restaurant on the top floor of KCC, which was very convenient. Getting around the city was surprisingly simple. The PickMe and Uber apps work well, and we found that tuk-tuks are readily available and very affordable, making it easy to hop between different attractions. While traveling without young children, we believe Kandy offers many family-friendly activities. The Hanthana Tea Museum, Kandy Wax Museum, and the beautiful botanical gardens are all engaging spots that would surely be enjoyed by families. Overall, Kandy is an excellent destination that combines rich history with natural charm and practical accessibility. We highly recommend it for any traveler.Guest review bylahiru92Sri Lanka - 10.0
There is so much more to do in this area than I realised.
There is so much more to do in this area than I realised. I will definitely come back. The area is beautiful and we were sad to leave. We dud Pidurangala Rock which was fun, more of an adventurous climb than Lions Rock. It has incredible views of Lions Rock. We also did a safari in Minneriya National Park. The park was beautiful and we saw so many elephants plus lots of varieties of birds, golden jackals, monkees, mongoose, the grizzled giant squirrel, buffalo and jungle foul. We also went to Dambula Temple Caves which is very spiritual and Luckgrove Spice Gardens which was an incredible experience. Highly recommend this area.Guest review byHazelIreland - 8.0

It is one of the best locations, slightly hot and humid, but if you love history and sightseeing, you cannot miss this location, further you can travel to multiple historic locations from here, we travelled to Mihinthale Temple and Mahiyangana, the drive was scenic, but Mihinthale will take your breath.Guest review byMohamed ShazlySri Lanka - 10.0

We chose not to climb Sigiriya (having just recovered from Adam's Peak!) but instead chose the much shorter Pidurangala which afforded a fabulous view of Sigiriya. Highly recommended. A visit to the Bawa hotel, Heritance Kandalama, is well worth it as an insight into the brilliant architectural mind of Geoffrey Bawa.Guest review byImanAustralia - 10.0

Half a day was enough as the sun was out and draining.
Half a day was enough as the sun was out and draining. At the last stop in Polonnaruwa where you have the temple there was a young man sketching and painting. There was also an older gentleman selling Neem & Jamun tree wood containers and tumblers for keeping water in the night and drinking in the morning Neem for better all over health & Jamun for decreasing blood sugar.Guest review byPRATIBHAIndia - 10.0

A beautiful place on earth that there are lots of 360 degree view points. But if it rains it will ruin your plans. So make sure you depend on weatherly and visit Matale when it shows many continuous sunny days. Even on cloudy forecasts do not visit as all mointain tops then will be covered and you will not see the sights. when it is humid leaches also will be active and will become a painful experience.Guest review byUdanaSri Lanka - 10.0

A nice hike to view a breathe taking view. If anyone should travel to Sigiriya they should start to climb the rock at 5.30am as the ticket counters open. Wearing proper hiking or workout clothes would be the best.Guest review byGavin RosayroSri Lanka - 10.0
