From the moment we arrived, we were immersed in an environment of luxury and warmth. The hotel itself is incredibly beautiful, with attention to detail in every corner. However, what truly made our stay exceptional was the world-class service from the staff. Every team member we encountered was super polite and helpful, but two individuals truly went above and beyond: Mr. Roshan and Ms. Kaveesha. Their professionalism, kindness, and willingness to help were evident in every interaction. They provided top-class customer service, anticipating our needs and ensuring every aspect of our visit was perfect. Ms. Kaveesha Gayathree's cheerful and kindful nature was a delight, and Mr. Roshan Hettiarachchi's courteous and efficient service was remarkable. Super Kindful they were! We enjoyed our time at the hotel so much, and a large part of that is thanks to them. The bottom line is that The Golden Crown is a gem—a super beautiful place powered by a team that treats guests like family. The resort is put together beautifully. peaceful and perfectly blended with the natural surroundings. Our water dwelling was just stunning. The attention to detail and the room layout are awesome. The service was outstanding. A special thank you to Ravindra and Amila, who looked after us throughout our stay. It’s great to have a personal butler, but what made the experience really special was how genuinely they cared about making us feel at home. The guided tour of Sigiriya Rock and the elephant safari are well-organized, and the naturalists who joined us were knowledgeable and making the trips more than worthwhile. If you’re planning to do these kinds of trips, definitely go with a guide. The food was another highlight with attention to local dishes as well as international cuisine.

After a disappointing experience elsewhere, finding Village Sigiriya felt like discovering paradise! The hotel is surrounded by a stunning, lush green area that immediately puts you at ease. The pool is perfect for relaxing, and the live music every evening adds such a magical touch to the atmosphere. The Ayurvedic center is a wonderful bonus for anyone looking to unwind even further. The staff here are incredibly friendly and welcoming, making you feel right at home. My room was huge, beautifully designed, and had a lovely private yard in front—such a peaceful spot to enjoy the surroundings. I couldn’t have asked for a better stay. Highly recommend Village Sigiriya for anyone visiting this area!

Beautiful place. Isolated from the town but the location is beautiful. You can ride bike around the rice field and lake. If you’re lucky see an elephant. The woman at the elephant centre was very nice and we learnt a lot! I am glad we stop for a chat. The diner experience was amazing! We booked the traditional diner with 27 dishes cooked traditionally in clay pot and open fire. I recommend this hotel!

The whole ambience was lovely from the time of arrival, right throughout our stay with Amaya. Our room and the facilities were very good. We paid b&b only but had dinner buffet each night which gave us plenty of options. We had an extremely good waiter, called Nipun who looked after us. Kandy is a beautiful town with so much to see and do.

Kandy is a beautiful town with so much to see and do. It’s the perfect central base for exploring nearby highlights like Nuwara Eliya and other major sightseeing spots. The famous Kandy–Ella train ride is a wonderful experience with stunning views. Kandy Lake is lovely for an evening walk, and the local markets — especially the Sunday market — are absolutely worth visiting. The Dalada Maligawa (Temple of the Tooth) is a must-see; try to go in the evening when it’s cooler and the atmosphere is even more peaceful. Overall, Kandy is a charming town that offers culture, scenery, and convenience all in one.

Lions rock is great, we thoroughly enjoyed it.

Lions rock is great, we thoroughly enjoyed it. We stayed for two nights in the end as we got to sigiriya late. This meant we ate dinner one night at the little hut which wass great, climbed the rock, then moved on to the habarana which was also interesting to wander and eat.

During my stay, the property owner made several inappropriate and judgmental comments about my affordability and my decision to share meals with my mother, who is disabled. His behaviour was rude and discriminatory. After I posted my review describing my disappointment, the owner contacted me directly on my personal mobile number using very abusive and offensive language. This message was completely unacceptable and made me feel unsafe.

Half a day was enough as the sun was out and draining. At the last stop in Polonnaruwa where you have the temple there was a young man sketching and painting. There was also an older gentleman selling Neem & Jamun tree wood containers and tumblers for keeping water in the night and drinking in the morning Neem for better all over health & Jamun for decreasing blood sugar.

Farm Cottage was peaceful and very comfortable. The room was clean and cozy, and the surroundings were quiet and relaxing. The host was friendly and helpful. A perfect place to unwind – I’d definitely stay again!

A beautiful place on earth that there are lots of 360 degree view points. But if it rains it will ruin your plans. So make sure you depend on weatherly and visit Matale when it shows many continuous sunny days. Even on cloudy forecasts do not visit as all mointain tops then will be covered and you will not see the sights. when it is humid leaches also will be active and will become a painful experience.

Our trip around Kandy was truly memorable! We loved visiting the Temple of the Tooth, strolling around the peaceful lake, and exploring the vibrant local markets. The botanical gardens were stunning, and everything was easy to reach from the train station. Great food, kind people, and beautiful scenery all around.

The weather is very calm.

The weather is very calm. Recommended time to start climb is 5.45 AM. So worthy to watch the surroundings from top of the Sigiriya. You can learn a lot about Sigiriya. You can get a guide if you want from the entrance.

We loved our Homestay chez Olivia .

We loved our Homestay chez Olivia . Lovely couple very hospitable and helpful. Hired bikes which was wonderful to go see all the Stupa sites etc. beautiful area & lovely garden. Birdlife was fabulous. Highly recommend
