*Super ultra clean. Staff constantly clean the place! *Everything we needed, the staff provided! We do not like papaya much so they prepared a banana smoothie for breakfast. Top service. Always with a smile 😁 *We arrived earlier from a horrible experience at another hotel. They immediately provided us with a room..and organised a safari there and then! As the weather seemed fine so we took the opportunity. And guess what? We saw 2 leopards, wild boards, crocodiles, deer, many birds and elephants 😀 * Dinner was the bomb! So good! We tried chicken curry hoppers and chicken cheese kottu.

Great value for money. Appreciate the hospitality. I wish nothing but the best for the Art Yala team. There was a good breakfast and a lot of restaurants close by for convenience. Definitely head to the ancient temples close by. It's right next to the lake so it was very relaxing for my family.

We absolutely loved it here, we’ve even got a room upgrade when we arrived (thank you!!). Everyone is really nice and the food is just amazing, make sure to get your dinner here. The view to the fields & the lake is absolutely amazing! You can also rent bikes to get to the city.

Manè is warm and very kind host. She made me feel at home, indeed!! The room was very bright clean and spacious, the service over the top! Beside of it, a very nice balcony with a sitting chilling area with sea view. Breakfast very high quality, homemade and big quantity and variety. Location is right in front of the beach and close to everything you might need.. Definitely my favourite place so far. I d have had more time to hang around just cause i felt so welcome and relaxed. At evening was alwas a pleasure to be back in my room and feeling so confortable. Such a nice sleeping everytime. Manè s son dropped me at the bus station and has very kind as well. Seriously i hope to be back and spend more time in this place, where i felt at home. Thank you Manè!!!!

A stunning swimming pool where you can chill out having a drink and observing the wild animals around such as squirrels, 2 kinds of monitor lizards, hundreds of birds,beautiful snakes,colorful parrots, monkeys and many others! The resort itself is in a virgin environment area by a protected lagoon in which there are fishes, lobsters,prawns and crabs incredibly delicious and tasty BUT most of all the most important is the people running the hotel. LALITH (or Lala) and his family, who is the one that manages and supervises the place, is a shining STAR and great Host i 've ever met ! He's the one that covers all clients' desires at once without any hesitation and always with a big smile! Great value for money! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! Everything with Gems Garden was so amazing! Ruwan & Ishani is now our family away from home♥️♥️We have not met more loving and warm people, running this family business. We had the luxury to spend new years and my birthday with them, and they organized the best party! Except for the amazing family who runs it, Gems Garden is so beautiful! Our cabana was big, clean and comfortable and has a lovely porche. It is so close to the beach and loads of restaurants. We really hope to come back soon again♥️

This place is a magical place with a calm and quiet nature. Swimming in the early morning before breakfast is the best thing to do. If you love animals, there is a lovely dog and lots of peacocks flying around. Throughout our stay, Dinesh helped us make our stay wonderful. They even made us a special Sri Lankan breakfast during our stay. I'm definitely going to visit again. I even met a lovely family from Switzerland with two kids. This is definitely a wonderful place to spend your holiday. 🌿😍

The rooms were very comfortable with a great view. What i loved the most about this hotel was the staff on duty especially Angela and the service provided. Although i travelled alone, i did not feel lonely because the staff were extremely hospitable and went out of their way to make me feel at home. I had a safari tour pick up at 5am and i loved how the hotel took our needs into consideration and packed breakfasts in takeaway boxes for us to go.

My partner and I visited Sri Lanka for two weeks, and we stayed 2 nights in Cinnamon Wild Yala. We loved our permanence there, everything met our expectations. The rooms are in the beautiful Yala National Park, with a lot of animals living in it. We enjoyed the tasty breakfast and dinner, and the staff is very kind and helpful.

It should be on everyone’s itinerary! The safari was amazing- go for the all day! And Jami Riverside Hotel is run by a wonderful host couple and the accommodations were comfortable, clean and affordable. They will make all the safari arrangements with the park for you if you wish. We had a wonderful driver -PHN Kasun Sampath.

This place is amazing.

This place is amazing. We stay with our 3 young kids and the staff were so kind and attentive. All of the small details have been thought of and it’s a wonderful experience in nature. Lovely local Sri Lankan are served for each meal.

A great place to stay and would definitely recommend. Large comfortable room close to the pool, with restaurant and plenty of cold beer. We were very well looked after and nothing was too much trouble. Weerawila, located in a dry zone of Sri Lanka, is ideal for wildlife safaris and nature experiences. This location is especially convenient during the rainy season, as it often stays dry even when the rest of the country is experiencing thunderstorms. We chose it specifically to avoid heavy rains.

Authentic family experience.

Authentic family experience. Two beaches, bird sanctuary and a fishery. Small but beautiful temple. Big rocks for line fishing. Bird watching. Relaxing. You can walk around the village, a couple of little shops. No restaurants as such. I had home cooked food from the main house.

The owners and staff were delightful - the service great.

The owners and staff were delightful - the service great. The cabannes were in the style of my travels 50 years ago and a great reminder of how simple life can (and should) be. For eating there is plenty of choice in the area and all easy walking but not always in 32 deg 😂

Tissamaharama is a fantastic base for anyone looking to explore the natural beauty and rich culture of southern Sri Lanka. It's perfectly located for Yala National Park safaris, offering easy access to incredible wildlife encounters. Beyond the safaris, the town itself has a calm, local vibe with beautiful lakes and ancient temples to discover. You'll find plenty of local restaurants and shops, making it easy to enjoy authentic Sri Lankan experiences. It's a great spot for both adventure and relaxation, and I highly recommend spending some time here!

It definitely is an experience worth trying.

It definitely is an experience worth trying. The tree house has all the comforts you need but yet kept on the simple side. Don't expect much and you will get a lot. Nice food Bbq and big fire lit for you in the evening to give you a chance to relax and talk about your day activities. It was great to be left alone and the silence of the night. There were times you just felt that we were the only ones there and when you needed something the staff would magically appear
