Our stay was unforgettable! We spent two nights of our honeymoon at Art Yala, and everything was perfect. The property is stunning, with beautiful lake views, the food was absolutely delicious, and the staff was incredibly attentive and friendly. We enjoyed every moment of our time there. Madu also organized an amazing safari experience for us. Highly recommend this place, and we can't wait to return soon!

The place is fantastic. The room is spacious and has all the amenities you need. Small fridge, kettle tea coffee. There is water in the bedroom as well. We had an amazing stay. They can accommodate for dinner. The food was absolutely delicious and all home made. They offer tours to Yala park as well and it's definitely worth it we had one of the best guides.

This is the perfect spot to unwind before and after a safari adventure. The location is stunning, with the serene Debarawewa Lake right in front, offering a chance to spot plenty of water birds and even a few crocodiles from a safe distance. The resort staff was incredibly helpful - they arranged a jeep to share for the safari, making it much more affordable. The shared safari option also gave us the chance to connect with other travelers, which was a lovely bonus. The rooms were comfortable, and I loved the cozy communal area in front of them. It’s a great space to relax, exchange safari stories, and chat with fellow adventurers about travel experiences. The atmosphere here is friendly and welcoming, which made our stay even more enjoyable. If you're planning a trip to Yala, I highly recommend this place for its comfort, location, and the overall experience it offers. I’d happily stay here again!

Words cannot really express how kind and accommodating Nalin and his family were. They did so much beyond expectations to make our stay perfect. We had to stay an extra day due to sickness and from getting medication from the pharmacy, arranging everything we needed no matter what and just generally being very interesting and keen to learn about other cultures in a completely comfortable and non intrusive manner it was superb. Been to Sri Lanka many times and mat so many kind Sri Lankans but Nalin clearly stands out. The rooms were spotless, no smell of damp (which can happen due to humidity in some places), we had the room of AC which was lovely, but a family member had a non ac room which was comfortable with the fans provided. Food was superb and they will arrange ahead of any dietary requirements. It was an honour to stay there and have the please of such good hospitality. I can see why this is 10/10 and 5* on Google! Also ask ahead about Safari and what animals you want to see and the type of trip you want because Yalla can be quite hectic and Nalin will help a lot. We arranged a tour beforehand which was good but it would have been better to have had some local knowledge prior to this as the Safari was quite hectic.

This is a hidden gem, a little paradise. We loved this place so much, the staff was amazing and helped us with transport and a safari to Udawalawe. The best cooks in the world work here. once you arrive at the property you greeted with great customer service. I was offered Soursop which from the previous reviews there were issues about being forced to drink it. I would not say I was forced but the drink is given to give your body a kick start to wellness treatment to help promote healthy values to your body. the staff were not forceful to me at all. They were so helpful and nice every step of the way. From the massages and great Sri Lanka food to the nutrition drinks and sea turtle watch areas, Hospitality transportation everything was great. Plus on my last day before going home I stepped on sea urchins and everyone there gave me immediate attention to the hospital and making sure I made it to my flight on time. I can not thank them enough for everything. if you ever get a chance to stay here please take advantage of the Chefs cooking and the masses ( because the massage treatment are like no other and actually help promote fat removal if you get the Sauna everyday thru your stay if your staying more than a week. also if your expecting this place to remind you of your regularly living arrangements then you may need to re-evaluate your expectations this place is a wellness resort to get away from noise and to give you peace and serenity and meditation but you can arrange outside tours with groups and local shopping fishing and many excursions as well.

We loved the location of this hotel. It was beautiful. Our main purpose was to go for Safari, and this hotel is perfectly located from Yala National Park. They even packed us breakfast at 5am, so we can take it with us to Safari. We spent an afternoon at the pool, (and had it all to ourselves which was also a bonus). The food was great, and we had the buffet there. The staff were all amazing. Everyone that worked there, were quite young, but incredibly professional, polite and kind, and they all really went out of their way to help us.

It should be on everyone’s itinerary! The safari was amazing- go for the all day! And Jami Riverside Hotel is run by a wonderful host couple and the accommodations were comfortable, clean and affordable. They will make all the safari arrangements with the park for you if you wish. We had a wonderful driver -PHN Kasun Sampath.

This place is amazing. We stay with our 3 young kids and the staff were so kind and attentive. All of the small details have been thought of and it’s a wonderful experience in nature. Lovely local Sri Lankan are served for each meal.

A great place to stay and would definitely recommend. Large comfortable room close to the pool, with restaurant and plenty of cold beer. We were very well looked after and nothing was too much trouble. Anyone looking for a visit to the National Park should consider staying at Tringa and booking the tour with them as they will make sure you have a great experience.

Authentic family experience.

Authentic family experience. Two beaches, bird sanctuary and a fishery. Small but beautiful temple. Big rocks for line fishing. Bird watching. Relaxing. You can walk around the village, a couple of little shops. No restaurants as such. I had home cooked food from the main house.

The owners and staff were delightful - the service great.

The owners and staff were delightful - the service great. The cabannes were in the style of my travels 50 years ago and a great reminder of how simple life can (and should) be. For eating there is plenty of choice in the area and all easy walking but not always in 32 deg 😂

Tissamaharama is a fantastic base for anyone looking to explore the natural beauty and rich culture of southern Sri Lanka. It's perfectly located for Yala National Park safaris, offering easy access to incredible wildlife encounters. Beyond the safaris, the town itself has a calm, local vibe with beautiful lakes and ancient temples to discover. You'll find plenty of local restaurants and shops, making it easy to enjoy authentic Sri Lankan experiences. It's a great spot for both adventure and relaxation, and I highly recommend spending some time here!

It definitely is an experience worth trying.

It definitely is an experience worth trying. The tree house has all the comforts you need but yet kept on the simple side. Don't expect much and you will get a lot. Nice food Bbq and big fire lit for you in the evening to give you a chance to relax and talk about your day activities. It was great to be left alone and the silence of the night. There were times you just felt that we were the only ones there and when you needed something the staff would magically appear
