*Super ultra clean. Staff constantly clean the place! *Everything we needed, the staff provided! We do not like papaya much so they prepared a banana smoothie for breakfast. Top service. Always with a smile 😁 *We arrived earlier from a horrible experience at another hotel. They immediately provided us with a room..and organised a safari there and then! As the weather seemed fine so we took the opportunity. And guess what? We saw 2 leopards, wild boards, crocodiles, deer, many birds and elephants 😀 * Dinner was the bomb! So good! We tried chicken curry hoppers and chicken cheese kottu.

Great value for money. Appreciate the hospitality. I wish nothing but the best for the Art Yala team. There was a good breakfast and a lot of restaurants close by for convenience. Definitely head to the ancient temples close by. It's right next to the lake so it was very relaxing for my family.

We absolutely loved it here, we’ve even got a room upgrade when we arrived (thank you!!). Everyone is really nice and the food is just amazing, make sure to get your dinner here. The view to the fields & the lake is absolutely amazing! You can also rent bikes to get to the city.

Word cannot express how grateful we are to Nalin and Isharni for welcoming us into their home during Sinhalese New Year. Staying at Black Panther Yala was the absolute highlight of our two weeks in Sri Lanka. It was such a special weekend where we learnt/ate traditional food (e.g. oil cake), participated in the rituals and traditions and met the neighbours and relatives. The room was comfortable and the food delicious. Dinner included is such a rare treat. The location is lovely, set next to the wetlands. You can borrow bike and ride around the area. We did a safari through a driver that our host recommended and it was amazing. I would highly recommend Black Panther to anyone!

Absolutely charming boutique hotel, ideal for a family or a couple vacation! It’s located on a private beach with soft waves, so we could swim easily with my small kid. The pool is stunning. The food and cocktails are lovely! Special thanks to Zander, the owner, for his personal attention to all guests and control and care of all details during our stay. And Loki dog is our big love. Thank you for our amazing stay! We’ll definitely come back again.

The owner and her team are amazing - welcoming, helpful and very friendly! The room was spacious, clean and had a great balcony - one of the best we had in 3 weeks in Sri Lanka. The breakfast was delicious and a lot, we loved all homemade delicacies. The owner provided us with useful tips and recommendations, and can support with any question on the activities.

An amazing resort to relax by the lagoon of Rekawa, very near to Tangalle with huge and stunning rooms, incredible clean and with all amenities needed. A stunning swimming pool where you can chill out having a drink and observing the wild animals around such as squirrels, 2 kinds of monitor lizards, hundreds of birds,beautiful snakes,colorful parrots, monkeys and many others! The resort itself is in a virgin environment area by a protected lagoon in which there are fishes, lobsters,prawns and crabs incredibly delicious and tasty BUT most of all the most important is the people running the hotel. LALITH (or Lala) and his family, who is the one that manages and supervises the place, is a shining STAR and great Host i 've ever met ! He's the one that covers all clients' desires at once without any hesitation and always with a big smile! Great value for money! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! My exhilarating trip to Sri Lanka was an incredible experience that will always remain in my memories. The pristine landscapes and beautiful nature of this country captured my heart. However, what made this trip even more special was our stay at Laya hotel. The staff were very friendly and accommodating, and also the place was very comfortable and quiet at night. We happened to be there during Sinhala and Tamil new year holiday, and we decided to stay an extra night to celebrate with them. We participated in their games and festivities, and it was a great new experience. We were even honored as special guests on the second night to stay in their brand new caravan. Special thanks to the hotel general manager (Mr.Wasantha) and his deputy (Mr.Dulaj) for their hospitality.

It should be on everyone’s itinerary! The safari was amazing- go for the all day! And Jami Riverside Hotel is run by a wonderful host couple and the accommodations were comfortable, clean and affordable. They will make all the safari arrangements with the park for you if you wish. We had a wonderful driver -PHN Kasun Sampath.

This place is amazing.

This place is amazing. We stay with our 3 young kids and the staff were so kind and attentive. All of the small details have been thought of and it’s a wonderful experience in nature. Lovely local Sri Lankan are served for each meal.

A great place to stay and would definitely recommend.

A great place to stay and would definitely recommend. Large comfortable room close to the pool, with restaurant and plenty of cold beer. We were very well looked after and nothing was too much trouble. Anyone looking for a visit to the National Park should consider staying at Tringa and booking the tour with them as they will make sure you have a great experience.

Weerawila, located in a dry zone of Sri Lanka, is ideal for wildlife safaris and nature experiences. This location is especially convenient during the rainy season, as it often stays dry even when the rest of the country is experiencing thunderstorms. We chose it specifically to avoid heavy rains.

Authentic family experience.

Authentic family experience. Two beaches, bird sanctuary and a fishery. Small but beautiful temple. Big rocks for line fishing. Bird watching. Relaxing. You can walk around the village, a couple of little shops. No restaurants as such. I had home cooked food from the main house.

The owners and staff were delightful - the service great. The cabannes were in the style of my travels 50 years ago and a great reminder of how simple life can (and should) be. For eating there is plenty of choice in the area and all easy walking but not always in 32 deg 😂

Tissamaharama is a fantastic base for anyone looking to explore the natural beauty and rich culture of southern Sri Lanka. It's perfectly located for Yala National Park safaris, offering easy access to incredible wildlife encounters. Beyond the safaris, the town itself has a calm, local vibe with beautiful lakes and ancient temples to discover. You'll find plenty of local restaurants and shops, making it easy to enjoy authentic Sri Lankan experiences. It's a great spot for both adventure and relaxation, and I highly recommend spending some time here!

It definitely is an experience worth trying.

It definitely is an experience worth trying. The tree house has all the comforts you need but yet kept on the simple side. Don't expect much and you will get a lot. Nice food Bbq and big fire lit for you in the evening to give you a chance to relax and talk about your day activities. It was great to be left alone and the silence of the night. There were times you just felt that we were the only ones there and when you needed something the staff would magically appear
