Very nice location on a hill overlooking the mountains. Beautiful pool with a view. Beds very comfy, good bathroom. Good food, again with great view. Staff and manager very helpful and kind.

The best hotel I've ever been privileged enough to stay at badulla. The elegant décor of the rooms, top-notch amenities, and high-quality services are the prime attractions of this hotel. I have stayed at a dozen hotels but this was on the top of the list of best stays/experiences ever. LOVED the view! So peaceful and quiet. Shann was the perfect host, friendly and hospitable. The food was delicious also, just be sure to order nice and early as it takes a while due to being cooked with love. We loved the fun and relaxed vibe, the music, the pool and the Sri Lankan game Carrom.

This is by far the best room you can get in Ella!!! The view is just absolutely amazing. It is quiet, the little wooden chalet is super romantic and luxurious and it has everything you need! And if this werent enough the host is just absolutely incredible. Tasty homemade breakfast every morning and I wish I had tasted his dinner. Easy to walk to Ella through a cute forest path or even over the railway which is a bit longer though.

The location is great if you want to go to Lipton's seat - aprox. 30 min by tuk tuk. The breakfast was delicious - plate of fruits, you can choose eggs - scrambled/omelette, toasts with butter and jam, juice, tea and coffee. The staff is nice and helpful. You can pay accommodation by card. They organized taxi from Haputale to Negombo for 35000 rupies. Definitely recommended!

We stayed for 2 nights in one of the fabulous Forest Pavilions, which was very comfortable and definitely a unique experience. We slept very well surrounded by the jungle sounds, all the furnishings were of a high standard and all the smallest details were taken care of to enhance our stay. The pool area was lovely but unfortunately the spa area was closed otherwise we would have definitely booked a massage. It was particularly lovely to meet the owner over cocktails before dinner who was very informative and told us all about the history of the hotel. The food was also excellent and the staff very professional.

We stayed in one of the lower level rooms, which offered more privacy. The upper level had better views but were smelling a bit stale, so they let us pick the ground floor ones. Beautiful rooms, with all necessary amenities, high quality bedding, quiet and peaceful sleep. Food was great, we had our dinners at the hotel. But the biggest positive of this hotel was the service. Staff is amazing, very polite, well trained, and really going out of their way to make you feel welcome. Thank you! Also, to mention that this was the only hotel that offered accommodation to our driver which was great for him.

The location is the best of the worse for those who are doing the Pekoe trail. Stage 11-12. It offers a breathe-taking view of the valley below. The owners gave us such great hospitality. The room was clean it gave us a much needed respite from a long day of hiking. If you are taking the pekoe trail, there is a shortcut to the location which is slightly off track. It’s short but intense but could save you 30mins to an hour. I suggest that you take it. Dinner and breakfast was sooooo good. Really nice after a long day of hiking

Badulla is an up and coming tourist destination. It has much to offer but for now is excellent for those wishing to spend time in the hills and and away from the razzmatazz of Ella or the tried and tested Nuwara Eliya.

Almost everything.

Almost everything. Location was close to Horton Plains and the owners arranged a tuk tuk ride for a nominal fee. Lovely surrounding. Food was tasty and ample given. Really worth it. Owners were friendly and made the guests feel at home.

Haputale is a breathtaking hill town surrounded by lush tea estates and misty mountains. We stayed at Benito Bungalow by The Serendipity Collection, where the in-house chef prepared fresh and delicious meals every day. The cool climate, scenic views, and peaceful setting made it the perfect place to unwind. It’s quieter and less touristy than other hill stations, which adds to its charm. A true hidden gem in Sri Lanka!

Even though My stay in Badulla was too short to visit all...

Even though My stay in Badulla was too short to visit all the beautiful places, the trip to Dunhida waterfall was a great experience, especially for kids. The path to Dunhida might be difficult for someone. I believe it was a very nice experience to walk through the jungle. Once you see the waterfall, you will forget all the tiredness.

One of our favourite places in SL, had much more of a town feel. It is touristy but just means lots of place to eat. The hikes are amazing and were one of our favourite parts of our trip. Beware the scammers when going up Ella rock - it's a little confusing to find the path and locals will try to lead you away from the main path to 'guide' you

Most of the activities are outside of main Haputale the hiking is wonderful as was our visit to Lipton's seat and the tour of the tea factory. Main Haputale not really much going on but the hotel was perfect after a long day of hiking.
